Hi All,
I have Sony ericsson Neo V 4.0.3 Android..[im noob]
i allready rooted it and i wanna know how i can make it faster, since i update it to 4.0.3 it start lags,my most apps when i close em they start again!I use any Task manager/killer and all them are crap what i can do?...Also i wanna your oppinion guys about which is better ROM/Launcher/app's(task killer, battery saver,app2sd),or anything else that will make it better.I read alot threads here but still i can't decide.
The best rom is AOSP Polish Blood Project (it's not based on Sony stock nor CM9,it's pure AOSP). You don't need to use any task manager, because it will drain your battery, and also, ICS is managing very well multitasking. To close an app, just keep pushed home button, and then swipe (left or right) the apps you want to close.

There is no such thing as best rom.
There is rom which best suits your needs.
Try them and see which one is good(read: best) for you.
Yes,AOSP and CM9 are the best roms for neo v (but in cm9,video recording, radio and hdmi not working, meanwhile in AOSP only radio and hdmi not working (for now)).With Sony stock rom,you get about 100 mb free ram. With AOSP,you get about 200 mb of free ram.For installing custom roms, you have to unlock bootloader (they are roms for locked bootloader, but they're based on stock Sony),and install kernel with CWM.Read some tutorials and you'll know how to install roms
I wanna a cool interface...and helpfull and ofc to make my phone better > faster...
I can't use all ROM's till find the best..thats why i lf oppinions =))
So the ROM's that they are based on sony are not good?
Neo v got 512MB RAM and as user i can use only the 250MB with out any extra apps?the rest ram? i know that the OS take some, so the only way is to put custom ROM..
Sorry for my english..
With AOSP,you'll have the full Galaxy Nexus interface ( onscreen keys) You can read more here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1666171 About CM9 i don't know, because i didn't used it.Yeah,we have 512 mb of ram,but approx 250-300 are used by the system gpu.IMO,Sony rom sucks because it has to many useless apps installed, which are runing in background, and slows down the phone.
Mate they tell you that the best rom is AOSP, but they have still bugs to and guys you telling these new member aka junior the AOSP is the best rom, oh i see but he dont even know how to flash it or what to do, no hard feelings to the creators of AOSP roms
stock from sony`s ICS is good enough to, you dont need a taskkiller anymore since Android 2.3 and you can use the Home.apk from Xperia S, here the link of it many choises:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1519742
and not a bad battery life on ICS 4.0.3 here is my Screenshot:

and you want remove some apps from sony use then root uninstaller from the playstore, mine is superfast now, so the choice is yours buddy

i have the same same problem so i figured it out(thats what i think i am not sure)
system uses 40 to 50 mb of internal storage for itself in case of adding contacts or else i dont know
so make sure you atleast have 60 mb free space internally and move all apps to sd card

This version comes with BRAVIA Engine and DooMLoRD kernel v03XS and some tweak. I will not use v4 cause I have some problems with wifi ( cannot turn on).
Thanks DooMLoRD for kernel, Z for FPS uncap and audio stutter fix, 28spawn for BRAVIA engine, aZuZu for advices and tools, new ARC Timescape from CAYCE_VII, anjo2 for toggle statusbar...
Update will come with some tweak, will update soon cause I'm student so I don't have so much time.

because there are a lot of arc roms here and new stuff draws more attention
Finally some new faces around... nice job mate!
P.S. 1:
Do i need xRecovery or CWM to install this?
Can i install this on my HTC WildFire?
Is Microsoft DotNet_3_5.apk & Microsoft DirectX 9 included in this rom?
Does camera has work in 8 MPix? & Can i take photos in dark?
Can i return to stock if i wanna?
Thanks!
P.S. 2:
So it is not stock becouse stock rom doesn't have arc launcher or xRecovery, right?

5. Ya, you can, this is Stock based ROM but not Stock ROM so you can return to Stock ROM from this Stock based ROM
6. Hehe, it's not cause it is stock based ROM as you read at 5. and you can sure that this is not Stock ROM cause this is Stock based.

To install ROM
1. Put the update.zip onto the root of your sdcard
2. Boot into XRecovery
3. Factory reset wipe data/cache, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, wipe battery stats
4. Go to install update.zip and select yes or go to install custom .zip and choose from sdcard and tthen scroll down to update.zip and select yes
5. Wait for install finished
6. Reboot
7. Enjoy
And for changelog
---------V1 CHANGELOG--------
Tweaks added for "whatever you tweaked"
added arc timescape widget
Added DooM Kernel v3XS
Removed "whatever apps or stuff you removed"
Something like that so people know what you have done and also for these noobs to be able to flash your rom
Also add a bugs section to.
Looking very promising will 100% flash tomorrow and leave feedback been a while im on the same rom so some changes wouldn't hurt lol im sure it's really good or atleast i hope so

So far everything was ok just that adding sd card hack would be really helping as waiting for gallery to load pic was a real pain in teh @$$ and adding the stock calculator ? Not all live wallpapers are there so maybe have a look at that + had to reflash my backup because i dragged the bar in setcpu and setonboot was checked so couldn't do anything else anyway to take that off for others ?

But overall i loved how smooth was it and the s.e look and found a bug in contact tried importing from sdcard the screen became darker but nothing happened i hitted home key and it was fine later on rebooted and my contacts where imported and battery life didn't look good emptied charged to 100 wiped stats and it was drawing pretty fast alot of work but loved this rom thanks

I'm currently testing it, but a friend is trying to download it but MediaFire is showing Error Downloading.
Thank you so much for your great contribution
I will add tweaks today. Please wait until I come back home.
About contacts import, I have no problem when import it. It.maybe caused by some problem, like another, applicatiins can force close any time.
For battery life, I use setCPU to limite CPU speed.when screen turn off and when I sleep. But it is goos on my phone. Maybe it is different on other phone. Try battery calibration, charge you phone and use it for many times and see if this can solve

T.E.A.M. Stock Rom for 2011 Xperia devices
(Arc, Arc S, Ray, Active, Play, Neo, Neo V)
pvyParts and iridaki
Proudly Present you
T.E.A.M. Stock Rom
A Rom for the Community By the Community!
YOU MUST Read this Post FULLY Before you Post any Questions!
First of all, hello 2011 Xperia Devices World!
We are coming from a galaxy far far away, where and when the X10 was a flagship!
We created the T.E.A.M ROM for the X10 and now we are taking the first step towards porting it to the next generation of devices.
The new TEAM ROM will be universal across the following devices:
1. Xperia Arc
2. Xperia Arc S
3. Xperia Active
4. Xperia Ray
5. Xperia Play
6. Xperia Neo
7. Xperia Neo V

( Devices with smaller screen resolution, such as Mini and Mini Pro will follow later on we didn't forget you! )
How we did that?
We have developed a Auto-Magic installation script that will work on any Xperia device by customising system files appropriately during flashing.
Some of the many new and unique features of the upcoming TEAM ROM:
1. Quick sound profiles integrated into the ROM -forget any 3rd party apps, now it's all accessible from the power menu
2. Brightness toggle control with a neat popup you can bring up any time from your statusbar
3. TEAM Tweaks (customise your clock/date/battery/signal text color/size/font, integrated battery bar)
4. Transparency everywhere you look!
5. Elegant TEAM theme
6. New Clock and Calendar from leaked Xperia S GB ROM
7. Tweaks for ambient sensor, minfree and more
8. Enhanced power menu with reboot options: Reboot, Reboot in Recovery, Reboot in Fastboot. If you choose the latter, you will be prompted to insert your USB cable and the procedure will complete only after you have! As convenient as it gets
9. Compatible with any 2.3.4 ROM, any kernel, any current setup. It will not wipe your data or intefere with the way you have been using the phone so far. It will only make it MUCH better
We are introducing the "ROM/AddOn" concept and we are looking forward to your feedback.
ROM/AddOn means:
* One Zip all Phones! with some Scripting magic we can keep all devices updated with a single zip.
And last but not least, don't forget we have great things in store for all of you:
* Full AppMan Support with 100% OTA Capable, Auto-Magicaly Flashed updates (comming soon)
HOW TO INSTALL:
REQUIREMENTS
HAVE AT LEAST 50% BATTERY BEFORE STARTING!
You must also me on a 2.3.4 Stock Firmware
( This is not a Stock based ROM, it is a Sony Stock Firmware )
You will also need Root and CWM
This will work on either Locked or unlocked bootlaoders that meat the above requiments
NO DATA WILL BE WIPED DURING INSTALLATION!
1. Boot into Recovery and make a NANDROID BACKUP ( This is really IMPORTANT, as we can't recover your data! If the fan gets soiled )
2. Flash the "TEAM_ROM_v0001_HDPI.zip" via Recovery.
3. Reboot and let the phone do it's thing as it will be rebuilding caches and settling.
First boot can take up to 10 minutes so be patient!
If you want to use your own custom Clock font:
1. You should place your custom font in folder /system/TEAM/font and it should be a .ttf file named clock_font.ttf.
2. Go to Settings > Tweaks and check the option Custom Font for whatever element you wish (clock, battery, signal, date).
You can now also tweak the text size to your liking!!

Q & A
Q: Where is AppMan?
A: AppMan will suffer a full rewrite and will be ready for a future update!
Q: Can I use this or that kernel for unlock or locked bootloader?
A: ALL kernels built for stock ROMs WILL WORK on this rom. We have tested all of them so take our word for it. ( yes we are flash junkies )
Q: Can I use this or that theme?
A: Short answer, no. Unless of course it is built of our framework. We have made MASSIVE mods to the framework so most themes will disable most, if not all, options in the Tweaks app.
( unfortunatly themers dont like our framework as it changes too often )
Q: I am getting a FC on this or that, can you help me!
A: NO. We can't help you. Because what you just said means nothing to us.
We want to help you SO much, but in order to do that you need to report the bug properly.
We took care of that too, see here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=18195325
Q: OMG YOU STOLE MY WORK! YOU [email protected]#$!% etc etc etc
A: We kindly ask you that if you have an issue with any of the inclusions in the ROM to either PM me or iridaki so we can sort it out politely There is no need to flame in the thread. Also if we have forgotten credits, please let us know and we will add them immediately.
Q: This rom is stupid, I hope you fail, "that" ROM is better!
A: That's cool, use "that" ROM. There is absolutely no need to report your disgust unless of course you have constructive criticsm. Personal Preference isn't a bug or an issue
We encourage EVERYONE to use the ROM they feel is best for them
Q: wow this is cool can i...
A: HOLD UP read our rules
1- no whining about our work
2- no asking for eta's
3- no asking for eta's
4- no useless posts in development thread
5- logcat or GTFO
6- no asking for eta's

Does exactly what it says on the tin, downloaded over wifi, flashed in recovery (after backing up) and it looks and feels very nice. Contacts/apps/texts/wallpaper was exactly as i left it (as mentioned in OP) very impressed, best ROM ive used on the Play so far and i too am a flashing junkie, great job!

This is great, can't wait for future updates, especially looking forward to having the ability to customise the notification power widget.
Remember to re-set your alarms after flashing this as it installs a new clock (and alarm) app
I'd like to thank you and your mate for making this ROM.
I have a few questions:
How to make a Nandroid Backup ?
And what about gamepad ? Can you make it work without issues?
I am asking this question because it is important to me + untill now I haven't seen it works perfectly on all existing custom ROMs for xperia play.
what kernel needs to be used on this rom? can i use a stock based doomkernel?
Nice to see more devs getting in on xperia models. Just a bit of advice, put GSM label for this thread so it doesn't cause any confusion to the community

1 - nandroid is a CWM backup.
2 - it shouldn't cause any probs with game pad.

This should work on all variants of the play that have a 2.3.4 OS (NM just figured out the CDMA one is 2.3.3)
The gamepad works perfect no worries. Very nice rom. Only thing I've had trouble with is the font size and color. Its white many times and can't read it. Also the status bar icons don't change from gray clock and battery percent color works. Pop-up windows are white also very hard to read any way to change it?

A guide how to apply these tweaks would be more usefull, also concentrating on one project leads to a bigger goal. I really appreciate your efforts as well as your motivation, because its awesome to see how much the community gets out of our little devices. But In case of tweaking a guide would be more usefull, since you can apply this guide to any rom. Also i dont see any sense in a 2nd rom, since your Gaming-tasty Gingy is as far as i can see optimized. So why are you not implementing these tweaks to your other rom? Also you can look at roms like PrimeHD which offer a few more optimazitions (deodexing for example) than "just" these small tweaks.
CHANGELOG
v02 Now it is a flashable zip,no problems on Messaging and Dialer but -54mb ram.If you'd like more RAM apply the tweaks and get 86mb!!!
v01 First release,based on MiniCM7-2.1.9 by nobodyAtall 70mb ram

If you want to provide maximum support, make one rom and give different "versions". For example one with a custom kernel and another one that would run fine (not as optimized as with kernel) on a stock kernel. In this case you have maximum support for different users and only one rom to care about, in which you could put all your tweaks, ideas and optimizations. Furthermore MiniCM7Pro is based on nAa MiniCM7, so basically you are working with the same "starting rom", but, and this is important, nAa continued on his rom, so to be up2date you should use MiniCM7. These are just ideas for you, i try to give my best in constructive criticism and i really appreciate your nice reaction to this

Ah darn. I think you have to find the necessary modules yourself, if its even possible to find them. If not... yeah, then your approach to maximum support is the right one.

Just look at other roms, like PrimeHD. There are really a lot of optimizations, many of them are useless and others are just awesome (like SuperCharger). Also maybe instead of developing roms and messing around with really complicated stuff, you could just write an guide

Just search in the internet and try different stuff out yourself.
At this point i need to say: i dont care from where you are, how old you are, what your friends are doing neither what your breakfast was and how it tasted. The only thing that matters is what you give to this community and what you take. Yeah, its awesome that you are 12 and that you are so much better then your friends, but im not here to give you compliments or stuff like that. Maybe you should just go out and enjoy your life, but you have to decide that.
Right now you are doing a pretty good job and thats the only compliment you will hear from me, ever.

You are good but you should make one badass ROM that will beat every single ROM in GSM section. We don't have MeanROM here so the fastest and most stable are MikRunny or KingCobra. Leedroid for me wasn't so good.

I have an idea for system:
I will delete all HTC Software (Rosie included) and will install Launcherpro!

You should make something like MeanROM but GSM version. You need to make it super fast, lag free and battery saving.
Edit: And if it will look 100% stock it would be just DOPE.

i agree with funkyas****, i could upload my monx senseless nandroid, because thats what iv done completly removed all boat and replaced with launcherpro instead of go launcher, meanrom sounds erm well mean lol
Okay now you have model for ROM.
Sense 3.0 so 3D works and camera on all phones;
Odexed;
V6 script integrated for free RAM;
Tweaks;
OC max 1.7 or 1.8ghz;
Battery saving;
No beats support because there is no difference in sound;
Pure stock look.

I really want to make ROM but im noob in this. I don't understand how to do it and I don't have anyone who could teach me.
Hi Lol,
Thanks a lot for you hard work.
I love your roms.
However, I found some problem with them (at times). I cant remember which roms were they, but:
- the first few days after installation, everything went so smoothly, good scrolling and everything.
- 2,3 days later (after just regular used with all apps installed on the first installation, nothing else was installed since then), they all start to get buggy, slow, scrolling lag. Sometimes, the keyboard lags too, and its horrible (original htc keyboard)
For example, if i type a sentence, some letter appeared to be lag-stucked, just like you "press and hold" on those keys. very annoying.
if anything, can you make a rom that's maximized speed? or anything that i dont have to reinstall every few days

I really hated Sense when I was playing around with my dads HTC Tattoo but when my EVO 3D arrived I understood how awesome Sense is. I tryed Sense 4 and I just love it. I can't wait for the official release if we will have it. Or maybe I will just buy One X and use Evo 3D as toy or try to learn developing on it. I tried MIUI and I didn't like it but I love the look of MIUI.
Hey mate , any instruction to flash the rom ? Simply boot into CWM recovery >>> wipe bla bla bla >>> flash the zip ? Do I need to flash gapps ?
I am currently bootloader unlocked using HTCdev and rooted by using adb to flash SU and recovery.

--Option to completely turn off/remove Floating Touch in Settings Menu or Aroma Installer. Its really hard to rapidly type on the Sola as the screen is too sensitive. I can still navigate fluidly even with a thin rubber piece between my fingers and the screen which other phones are unable to replicate this. This poses problems for typing and games that requires rapid tapping. However, I'm not sure the sensitivity is because of the Floating Touch technology or the screen itself. If it's hardware then... Nothing more to say. >.<

I know screen shots are showing it,those were taken before removing it.
I'll think about Supercharger.I tried it once, didn't notice major diff.
I can do that.
I'll list those tweaks,no prob.
Good suggestion about andorid version.I'll keep it in mind.
I still have backup of XInfinitySound.,I'll integrate Beats Audio, Dolby Digital Sound, Surround Sound in aroma,if OP gives permission.
You can use Directory bind for having the game data in external sd....
Hi
There is no way that feature (ap2sd) to activate sola?
The interior of the phone is too slow to play HD
mediafire is downloading real slow for me and keeps getting dropped. would someone please post a mirror?
EDIT:
I read the OP, request not to be mirrored. Please disregard.

Nothing more to say. >.<

Well floating touch have nothing to do with regular games, typing, etc. It's only work by It's browser (which I like it most) and It's Xperia Live Background! or other programs which have been designed by this floating touch ... the only cause we can't rapidly type is the speed performance of ROM ... (try the smart keyboard pro, make the long press duration less, you'll get why I'm saying this )
it would be really good if it faster a little...
BTW Great Job I were looking for this for months :highfive: :fingers-crossed:

EDIT: This is probably a bug: hotspot not working. I try to tick it and for a couple seconds it looks like it's trying to enable it but seems like it can't.
I flashed the stock kernel via flashtool and my hotspot is back, so this is kernel related. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

That makes sense. But the screen is seriously wayyy to sensitive >.<
If you use/type alot you'll realize some times the screen is touched before your finger actually reaches the screen.
And when typing, it recognizes that the finger is still in contact (hold on) even though I've lift it up slightly to move to the next key.
By the way, would permanently disabling Floating Touch conserve battery?
I install this rom but root access is not ok
