I am looking for a solution. At what seem like random times a pop up message "Looks like you forgot to declare the Millennial Media MMAdViewOverlayActivity in your manifest file" comes on my screen.
I have googled the error and it seems to be attributed to either Angry Birds, Barnes and Noble or ubersoft.
I dont have any such software on my phone....... In fact I dont have that much software at all on my phone.
Anybody had/solved this?

Where do they pop up? Are they like advertisements or something like that? If they are you can get rid of them by rooting your device and downloading an app like "AdFree Android". You can see which apps can make advertises and notifications with an app called "Lookout Ad Network Detector".
Thanks mk
They are text only in a small box across the middle of the screen. Not advertisements. More like an error message would look.
Will try ad detector app
Millenial is in 8 apps.
accuweather, saynoto0870, bbc news, windguru, soundhound, draw free, tv24.co.uk, astro
Any ideas which to delete or how to stop. Its so irritating
I don't think that Millennial causes those popups. "Applications using the Millennial ad network are capable of displaying standard in-app ads." I have never heard about those popup-like things which you have, so I'm afraid I can't help you very much. Sorry.
Just had popup 8 times whilst using BBC News app. Some pop up boxes have a slightly different message 'Looks like you forgot to declare the millennial media video player in your manifest file'
Anybody else have any ideas?
I've got the same problem with my LG Optimus black, it always appear a message with some stupid game that they suggest I install it.
Well what I've don is I unistalled different apps, that may had brought this SPAM thing in my phone. You should do the same..
Me too..
Yes, I have them too (popups about winning iPads, games) on my Samsung I9070. Tried AirPush Detector, didn't find anything unfortunately..
Don't have them often though.

I noticed that for a few weeks now I'm getting spam type notifications in my notification bar saying things like I've won a free ipad. Was just clearing them out, but now I notice that a shortcut to a "market" has showed up on my homescreen. Can't find anything I didn't install in titanium or my stock application manager. Anyone know what this is and how it gets through my security app. I'm using bit defender. I notice my phones a bit glitchy as well. Widgets aren't wanting to load up. I'd like to figure it out before I do a data wipe.
Usually happens after installing a cracked app. Although I have seen this after installing MP3 Music down loaders as well.
Search for "Airpush detector" in the market then uninstall whatever apps are detected then they shouldn't show up again
Check this out.

Thanks for the info. Got em. It was a couple of winter scene live wallpapers.
I installed a few apps from the google app marketplace over the last week or two, and found I'm getting random advertisements popping up under my phones notifaction list ( Where you can drag down the menu at the top of your phones screen and see recent events. ) There are also buttons being placed in empty locations on my phones main tabs, like shortcuts to applications or widgets, and they link me to the web. ( I have multiple browsers and just close the box when it asks which browser to use. )
I don't understand where this is coming from or what I have to do to get rid of it... I understand that some apps have advertisements, but those are only while the application is actually opened and being used I thought. This has been sending me messages waking me up when I'm sleeping, It's kinda sorta bull**** lol... And I don't think I need an anti virus program constantly zapping my Notes resources, but yeah...
Any comments? What do I do to pinpoint which program is causing it, and will removing that app even fix the problem?
Seems you got airpush install somehow, download add on detector from the market
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
Make sure you post which app it was so we can all avoid it. 1 star it in the market and say it has AirPush and to avoid it before you uninstall it please!
all of a sudden, i started getting these pop ups ads within google chrome, and new ad banners are popping up on websites that don't have ads. at the bottom of the ads, it says 'ads by cloudscout' which i found out to be malware.
but i don't know how to remove it! i've tried AVG, bitdefender, and malwarebytes, and they all scan my phone and say it's clean.
any ideas on how to get rid of it, aside from wiping my phone?
i'm using a sony xperia z3 with android 4.4.4
Sometimes when an app finishes updating my browser (Via Browser) opens and loads a page that is advertising apps. First it was Appsquare, now it's some other website I forgot to remember. I have NO idea what the cause is and I didn't install any strange apps to my knowledge. I never installed any APK that I downloaded outside the Play Store and both Malwarebytes Antimalware and Eset found nothing. This doesn't always happen when I update an app so there's no set pattern. Smetimes it doesn't happen after updating one or more apps and sometimes it does and that is why I can't really figure out which app is causing it, if it is an app at all because there are no ads displaying in either app I use because I paid to get rid of it. Yes, I did some research and it seems to be an issue mainly affecting Samsung users and one site in particular did some research and found out it was a shady ad network behind it: Clickity. My symptoms do match but I have an LG device, not a Samsung device and I use a different browser. I have used a few of Cheetah Mobile's apps in the past but I'm sure I deleted all traces of it on my phone, at least the things I could find. And I haven't used a single app from those devs anymore since I did a factory reset on my phone and updated to Android 8 so there shouldn't be a trace left. I need help fixing this because I have no idea where to look.
EDIT: It turned out to be my clock widget app "Digital Clock Widget Xperia" made by Lazar Dimitrov that was causing those ads to pop up, despite paying to remove ads.
Hi guys got a poco f1 running miui 10.2.3.0. I keep getting full screen adverts that pop while the phone is on home screen and Facebook and camera (even whilst recording) amongst other odd situations. Sometimes i unlock my phone to find a full screen advert has popped up. If i press the square button to see open/running apps when it pops up you can see the ad pop up is running in chrome. I am aware that xiaomi puts adverts on their phones but until recently i never had these kind of ads that are so intrusive and trying all the usual ways to get rid of the ads (changing region, turning of recommendations on apps and settings) has not seemed to work. I even downloaded an ad block app but still no luck. Its annoying because their the only ads that annoy me and have ruined a good few videos already. Please someone help me get these adverts to go away.
Check if you have installed any new app recently because pocophone miui does not have ads like other xiaomi miui.
Find the culprit app and uninstall it immediately.
You probably have a scam app installed or some sort of virus
Try a virus scan + delete the malicious app
If this doesn't work try with a fresh install of the latest Global (remember to backup first) or some adblocking app like Blokada
