OK.... solution is flash stock froyo ROM through odin and data wipe (btw you may have to use the downgrade package to boot into stock ROM), your phone will boot properly.

I know that some of the random non brand name devices I've used, I could just use an adb shell and get root. But this isn't true for everything. As for rom cooking and recovery, that's a whole nother beast.

I got a s3 i9300, i want to flash my device to get a unbranded version, the problem was that i install a sch-535 rom, the phone barely works, i cant use data, i barely have signal, but when i reallyze my error i try to flash an i9300 rom but i cant, it stops in the middle and dont let me do it, so i know im stupid, but i really need to fix this, anyone can help me please? thank you guys!

Hi guys!, first of all thank you for your support, here are the updates, i try flashing it via odin and a error was show and it was imposible to flash it that way, because i was desperate and impatient for having it back, i talk to a "expert" friend of mine, he told me that the problem was that the bootloader was locked by verizon, thats why i cant flash it, so he rooted the phone, and download e-z unlocker app or something like that, he install the app and then proceed to unlock the bootloader, everything went well, the turn off the phone for putting it on download mode but the phone wont turn on, it doesnt even charge it was dead, hard bricked :crying: ,so i reallyze that all my impatience went wrong and now i have a 900 dlls brick (im from mexico thats whhy is so expensive, a couple months ago) and well the only brigth side is that im going to try guarantee and say that the phone just experience a sudden death case and hopefully the belive me i´ll keep you guys updated! thanks for the support!

second of all, how can the bootloader be locked by Verizon if it's not a Verizon phone? i9300 is an international unlocked phone. If you messed with the bootloader, then I don't think there's anything you can do

Why on Earth would you do something ridiculously foolish like that ? If you're going to mod your phone, make sure you understand what you're doing before you do it & pay attention.
The help you need is in this thread, and by that I mean do what I told that guy to do (and what Hopper also told him to do). Do not post to the other thread, simply read the help I've provided, and go fix your phone.
I referred you to it because I can't be arsed typing the exact same thing 3 times within 5 minutes (twice is plenty for my level of patience, trust me).

Hi. I am new to this forum but i think i kinda understand what your problem is. I mean a solution since you get to go into the downloading mode. try to use odin to flash the sammy stock rom? Somewhere in xda you can find the tutorial. Good luck.

I am a long time iPhone user and i just change to android and my first android phone is Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 (SM-G7508Q)
I bought this phone from china therefore it does not have google play store nor any google service !!!
I don't live in china so i rooted the device to install google service and play store and it works (mostly) but sometime i receive a message says google service has stopped and that really annoys after time !!
So i decided to install hong kong rom which allows google service automaticaly !!
I have downloaded 3 different firmware BUT !!!
when I try to flash them using odin I always receive the same error message !!!
volume size is too big odin invalid ext4 image !!!
I figured that the firmware size is really too big all of them are around 1,8 GB so downloaded a smaller size firmware which was 1,5 GB and the installation was successful (that firmware was also chinese one so no google service )
I really need to install one of the hong kong firmware but they are all big sizes !!
Is there anyone have any idea to how to solve that issue ??

Well i finally found a firmware that has google play and all (it is vietnamese !!!)

thats the name of the file i got !!!
I flashed my phone !!!
then i factory reseted it !!!
its all fine !!!
BUT !!!
now my wifi is always turned off !!!
can't turn it on !!!
anyone knows how to fix that issue ???

Hi. I got the g7508q dual sim. I can install gapps via odin that gives me google play. But i only have 3 languages. Yes english being obe. But i want to setup with United Kingdom english. When i got phone and i done factory reset it had that option. But was rooted with kingo i wanted to hard root like i have always done but it messed up and i had to reinstall with china rom. Now not an option no more. And i want to get rid of the china keyboard and have uk english so 8f i have to factory reset i dont have to gonthrough and install all apps to get it working. Please help. Someone please develop custom roms for this phone..

you mean you find english UK for you system ? i can help you but first you must root your android..
please tell me what rom you instal from gapps ? because i use G7508Q too..and i want to used gapps rom too.. ok if you share it.. i will help you too..and we can share all about G7508Q.. hope you understand what i mean..

i wish someone would create some custom roms already

I have found the CF Auto Root that you had suggested here, and it has rooted the phone successfully.
