They work, I have one. Let it format and you should be good to go.
Buydig.com has a 2 pak of 32GB class 10 micro-sd , waterproof, shockproof cards for $69.
Like them on Facebook and get $10 off = $59.
That is a good deal.
Im planning on picking up a 32gb. Can i use nandroid to back everything up and restore it to the new card?

I think the the recovery process does restore something to an SD card. I've never seen a single difference in ext SD card content that was non-rom related following a restore. So the likelihood of it working (yes:no) would probably be 70:30.

that depends on what you mean by "everything"

No you can't. If you want to replace your current memory card with this larger one, you have to use a computer to backup the files on the current SD card first and then transfer them to the new card. I don't think a nandroid will do that. That's what I did when I replaced my 8gb card with 32gb.
I have a 16gb class 4 card now and looking to get a 32gb class 10. I have been looking around seen prices from $15 to over $80 for a card, what is the best bang for the buck in terms of its price? I know that from a class 6 to 10 most people won't tell the difference but I'm buying a card that I'm gonna be using for a while as I upgrade phones in the future etc. Thanks and would appreciate some suggestions on what cards to buy, I'm trying to stay under the $40 range.

I just put my order in for the RAZR and it comes with the 16gb SD. Is it the same class of SD as my Droid Charge with 32gb SD?
I will use the 32 and sell my Charge with the 16 if they are the same class.
i think most likely the 16gb will be class 4.. whats ur 32gb? u can try double check online..

I did exactly what you're wanting to do. The 32gb card from my Droid Charge works perfectly in my Maxx. I didn't do any research, so apparently ignorance is bliss...

I got the SanDisk 64GB micro-sdxc. Best Buy $80 USD.
It's at least as fast as the interface. Faster wouldn't change much.
I can get almost half of my music collection on it, with a few ROMs and a set of backups.
128GB will probably be available by October.

I'm running this card, too. The card is class 6 and works great. It's $60 with free shipping at Adorama:
http://www.adorama.com/IDSMUMSD64G....ping Site&utm_campaign=Other&utm_source=gbase
I've shopped there for camera equipment and printing, and they're top-notch.
Yes, Adorama is great. I just spent another $60 on my wife's card.
Thanks!
Will all the American SIII's be able to support a 64 GB microSD card? I brought up the idea of using said card with a 16 GB SIII from AT&T and someone at the Mac Rumors forum said it was not compatible.
I was using a 64GB card in my s2. Moved it to the S3 and it works fine. So long as you format the card in your phone you should be ok

Where are you guys finding the best deals for the SanDisk 64GB MicroSDXC Class 10 memory card?
I've been following Amazon and Best Buy for a while now... Best Buy's prices fluctuate a lot, I check it on a daily basis... It's at 150 right now, but it was at 50 for a day or two, and 70 for a day or two.
Amazon's are at around 68 after shipping.
Both are great deals for such a beast of a memory card (30MB/s read speed and 10(?)MB/s write speed), but I'm wondering if you all found anything better. Please PM me if you wish!

You don't need to format anything, don't worry about it.
I was using mine with my Desire and moved it to this no problem.

It should work. AFAIK, 64gb will even work with older phones like the s2. I think the difference with the s3 is that you can format the microsd card to use exFAT instead, which should be better than fat32 (ex: no more 4gb file limits)

I'll probably just make sure via the forum if I decide to get the SIII. I won't get it if I can't add a 64 GB card. AT&T will have it in 2 weeks.
Saw a post about the micro SIM and got me thinking. Do they come with a micro SD card? Its been a while since I bought a phone so I'm not sure if they're still doing that.

I can tell you that the AT&T models don't come with a micro SD. I'm sure it's the same across the board.

No need to include a micro sd with the internal memory. My Inspire, for example did come with one, but only because there was very little internal memory.
I'm assuming you mean because of the varying internal storage. My DX has 16 GB internal and still came with an SD card. Only reason I asked. I didn't think twice about it before ordering my class 10 32GB lol.

Even if they included a Micro SD card it would probably be a small one like 5gigs.
I got a class 10 64gig from bestbuy when they had the sale on the class 6s but back ordered and they shipped a class 10 to me instead .

No everything is internal storage. I've heard that the internal storage is pretty fast so unless you are gonna buy a class 10 you might be better paying for more internal storage too. I didn't have that option on ATT. However I bought the Samsung 32gb class 10 card. Check slick deals, they were 29 shipped from beach camera on ebay. I was going to be extremely picky on who I get my sd card from but they have thousands of flawless reviews and seem to be a great vendor, and it wasn't one of those too good to be true prices, so I bit considering that was the card I wanted anyway. I'll test the speeds out when it gets here.
Anybody have any advice on the best 32gb micro sd card for the EVO LTE? I'm looking to purchase one, but there are so many options out there, so I just wanted to know if anybody has any tips on what brand and class work the best with our phones. Thanks in advance.

I own a Desire S and I use a Toshiba 32 GB class 4 card. I am very happy with it, and I have paid it 20€. I don't recommend buying Class 6 or 10 memory cards because they are designed for managing big files in small time ( e.g. photography) rather than small ones. As a result, you will pay A LOT more for a card which wouldn't be as fast as a class 4 in a phone.

Well, I just had a good afternoon. I went to Best Buy, because they had a sale of a 32gb, Class 10, PNY card for $19.99. The store inventory said they had 13 in the store, but nobody could find them anywhere. So, after about 20 minutes of searching the store, they went ahead and just gave me the Sandisk, Class 10, 32gb ultra card for the same price. I got a $70 card for $20, just because someone at the store probably stocked them in the wrong section or something. Awesome!

Yes. 16 GB with 11 GBs use-able on the internal. And 16 GB external sd card already in the micro sd card slot. For a total of 32 GBs.

I got mine for $45 with 2 day shipping via amazon prime. It's awesome.
When I got it it was recognized fine by the phone, but it is exFAT and recoveries don't exFAT so I formatted it to FAT32. I had weird random sd unmount/mount problems so I took the card back out, put it in sdxc reader, and ran chkdsk on it. I haven't had a problem since. The thing is fast, too.

My card just crapped out. Was using it in my Atrix. I put it in the card reader on my PC, went to transfer some music to it, the fix scan came up, then disappeared and now i won't even register in the PC. I'm going to hit up the AT&T store tomorrow and see if they'll replace it. I see the chances of replacement as slim and none but it's worth a shot.

See if it registers on the phone. If it does reboot your PC and try it again. Card readers can be a little picky sometimes.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried multiple card readers and computers as well as the OG, Atrix, and the at&t guy's S3. Nothing will recognize the card or format it. I even tried using the cmd prompt with no luck. AT&T was going to give me a card from a new in box OG but didn't have any. Have me LGs phone division number to try.
