ok on official ics wifi will turn on but does not authenticate i have tried stock roms,custom roms even siyah kernal but cannot get wifi to finish connecting any ideas i have set diff settings etc
Two questions:
1. Did you try to connect to more then just one Wifi? If so, do you always experience the same problem?
2. Did you try to connect to the Wifi in question using another device?
Depending on how you answer the questions above I would suggest you either have look at the log file of your Wifi router or use ADB with command 'logcat' while trying to establish the connection. This might help locating the source of the problem.
I had this happen to me, fixed it by changing the channel on my router from Auto to 13. Try it....

Like the name says. Im running Gingercruzt and i can't connect to our wifi for some reason. Even my friend's CM7.1 can connect to it we're both at KPH modem

try to whitelist your phone in modems mac filter...it did solve my problem!!!
Thank god, I read these issues many times & my ace's Wi-Fi works fine! I did have Wi-Fi error while turning it on though on stock ROM. But when it got on, it connected to every Wi-Fi.
i also use the gingercruzt n have no probs with wifi..
may be u should check ur wifi settings first, something like authentication, uncheck the use static ip option, etc..

Please help me i have tried ics rom of krait ,nonsense and anryl.But they have error of connecting wifi to my home network.The networks appear when wifi was initially opened but a sec later the network jux disappear.
I tired s-off , root my device and update latest firmware then install custom rom but can't solve the problem.
I will be very thankful if any one help.
I don't have internet over phone.so have to depend solely on the wifi.

Try changing your routers channel to 11. See if that helps at all. Also check to make sure your routers firmware is up to date.

I think the router is up to date.Plus i have been sharing n using this router to my pc my tablet my laptop and my bro's ics ph too.They don't have that problem.
Then i try wifi hot spot with my tablet n try to connect it with my evo 3d.The same result come they jux vanish though ph wifi still on.I wipe the cache n everything before i flash the roms.The same result.
Then i use krait android 2.3.4 and wifi is ok.
I think it is the problem of ics with my ph but don't see other ppl have same problem.

I'm using Virtuous Shooter 3, and I haven't problems with wifi, you may give it a try. I feel the radio update not properly reliable, but the wifi is the thing that work better here

wifi is turned on but when i connect to it the wifi are disappered.Other ppl can use well please help
Then i use add network,It tried to connect then disappered later as always
Install this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.farproc.wifi.analyzer And see what channel your network is on. I've not had problems with my EVO 3d but my girlfriends HTC Legend had the exact problem you describe. Change your router channel to something below channel 10. It's normally easy to change on your router settings page.

hell yeah come here for mee i have your fix its that ICS detects the sim region as a result it wont show u wireless (outside USA)

Can't surf the Internet.
I'm form Spain and since I installed ICS ROMs I can't surf the Internet using WiFi.
These are the facts:
Revolutionary S-OFF HBOOT 1.49.1107
I've installed latest firmware -radio 11.77.3504.00U_11.25.3504.06_M and kernel is 3.0.16-gd468ce7-.
I can link to the router but can't surf Internet. I have 2-3 seconds to surf just after link is established but then the Internet connection is gone although the phone is still linked.
I can ping my phone.
Myphone explorer works through WiFi.
And these are the ways I've tried to solve the problem:
Set different DNS.
Router set to multichannel, USA, etc. Tried different channels.
Installed WiFix and set regional country to US, EU, ES. Fixed permissions after doing this.
Tried different ROMs.
Extracted Boot Image from ROM.zip and flashed it via fastboot.
I still can't browse Internet so any help would be appreciated.
After a lot of attempts, I finally managed to solve my WiFi problems with ICS ROM.
The problem is located in the subnet mask -I'm working with fixed IP-.
Unlike a 255.255.255.0 format, in these ROMs I have to set the prefix (0-32). The equivalent value for 255.255.255.0 is 24 but here is the problem. This value doesn't work in my device. If I set 32 instead of 24 IT WORKS!!!!!!
Has anyone ever experienced this? any possible fix? Wifi is not turning on or not detecting any wifi hotspot.
Have you recently done anything to your Titan or is it still AT&T stock?

I have the same problem!!
I only have 4G access... can't see any wifi networks and no mac address to be found on the phone.
Any fix for this?

Umm, on Windows phones you just go to Settings>About>More Info and it shows the MAC.
Same issue with my Titan II
Has any one tried flashing the stock ROM back and checked ? ?

i tried flashing the stock rom that was posted on another thread. did not work, just erased all my data. Anyways if you have a good data plan it shouldnt b a problem. for apps that need wifi to download, what i do is connect my phone to zune and the computer's internet connection is used to download the apps. not sure if it works for browsing also, but you can try.

Tried both usb/wifi tethering, the PC connected can get IP address, but cannot connect to Internet, such as ping google.com failed.
Is it common?
last time im on stock ics tethering works for me. try to check if your proxy settings on your pc if its on automatically detect settings.
