anyone can help into this problem because my phone has a problem about wifi hotspot if i open the wifi hotspot it says error .and i cant connect also to wifi because in my setting in wifi the ip is unavailable and also the mac address can anyone solve this pls.

I made a custom ROM but the built in wifi hotspot doesn't work unless I put the tab language to English..If I use other language the hotspot doesn't work..
I can see the network ssid on my laptop but when I connect I don't get IP or somthing..
I tried tethering app from the market and it works ok !!

ok on official ics wifi will turn on but does not authenticate i have tried stock roms,custom roms even siyah kernal but cannot get wifi to finish connecting any ideas i have set diff settings etc
Two questions:
1. Did you try to connect to more then just one Wifi? If so, do you always experience the same problem?
2. Did you try to connect to the Wifi in question using another device?
Depending on how you answer the questions above I would suggest you either have look at the log file of your Wifi router or use ADB with command 'logcat' while trying to establish the connection. This might help locating the source of the problem.
I had this happen to me, fixed it by changing the channel on my router from Auto to 13. Try it....

I have the same problem!!
I only have 4G access... can't see any wifi networks and no mac address to be found on the phone.
Any fix for this?

Umm, on Windows phones you just go to Settings>About>More Info and it shows the MAC.
Same issue with my Titan II
Has any one tried flashing the stock ROM back and checked ? ?

i tried flashing the stock rom that was posted on another thread. did not work, just erased all my data. Anyways if you have a good data plan it shouldnt b a problem. for apps that need wifi to download, what i do is connect my phone to zune and the computer's internet connection is used to download the apps. not sure if it works for browsing also, but you can try.
wifi does not connects its contiously shows optaining ip adress when i try to connect any router. This problem raised after i retuned to stock rom & Unrooted my cell

hi,i,ve got a big problem with the custom roms running on 4.4.2.my wifi network wiil be shown on my S3 but when i enter password correctly and tap on connect it doesn,t connect and it only keeps showing "saved,secured".i need you guy to help me solve this problem.thanks guys
