GPS problem samsung 5.0 - Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0, 5.0

Gps activated by itself , it happens very often, and the only way I find to fix it is turn it off and turn in on. Does this happen to anyone else?

I fixed the error by wiping dalvik cache.

I usually wipe Dalvik Cache within CWM.

In terminal emulator,
Type 'su'
Then 'rm -rf /data/dalvik-cache/*

Odds are, one of the apps you've installed is turning it on for some location-related feature. use a permissions browser app to find which apps have permission to use or enable the gps.

I think you might need a clean setup backup and do that and restore your data only at cwm

You better go ahead and call in sick.
What does it do when you try to open it?
Mine works fine.
Are you stock? Have you tried a Factory Reset? Or a Reboot?

Doesn't matter you can still do it
Go to Settings/Storage all the way at the bottom is Factory Data Reset. Warring this will erase everything off of your phone.

ugh i dont wanna do that. ill just download some bootleg alarm clock app on the play store.
Try just clearing the data on the clock app.

ICS Data Usage App Losing Data??

Since upgrading to ICS the data usage app will record my usage until I reboot the phone, however the app listing and monitoring cycle data remains??
Anyone else suffering the same issue?
Many Thanks
Edit:Its not even when I reboot it just seems to randomly wipe (just tried a reboot and the small amount since its last wipe is still there).
Use the data usage tracker built into ICS.

Is there an easier way? I'd prefer not losing everything.

Try wiping cache and dalvik cache before a factory reset
Sent with my Sony Xperia S using a little bit of KA magic.

Yep, this is a common issue in Android phones. This has occurred because you have installed that application before. There's an easy solution for the problem. Delete /data/app-lib/ [Folder of that application like com.facebook.orca] and all subfolders. Then install the APK again and it will work. Still not working? Reboot your device and wipe dalvik cache!

Error message when booting

Every time I boot I get the error message showing in the screenshot.
I'm using CyanogenMod 11 latest snapshot.
Any ideas what it means?
Don't seem to have any functional problems apart from the gallery app FC occasionally and I've had a couple of random reboots.

If it only happens at boot, it's just a minor annoyance / glitch that I have seen on various builds of CM on other devices. You can try to clear the cache / data of the phone app in Settings / Applications / All and see if that helps. Can also try clearing cache and dalvik cache in recovery and fixing permissions. That or wait till there is a more stable version of CM for your phone and update.
Gallery issue - same thing - clear the cache and data stuff in the Application section of Settings. This could be due to not using the best set of Gapps for your setup as well.
For random reboots, that can be kernel related. I'd double check the thread for CM to see if there are suggestions for another kernel or fix for that.
Thanks. I've tried clearing the dalvik and it still happens. I'll try clearing app cache in settings.
If I clear the data in the gallery app will it wipe all my photos and vids?
Also. I can't find the CM thread ?
Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk
Nope, clearing that will not delete pics, just resets the thumbnails and such.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2495859
But like I mentioned, if it only happens on boot and the phone app works fine the rest of the time, it's just an annoyance and not a real issue.

I made a big mistake everything force close

I have boost mobile lte
Reflashing your ROM should only be done as a last resort. You can hard brick your device if you don't do it right or use an incompatible ROM. I stress this with all Moto E surnia varients because not all ROMs are available yet. Trust me.
For force close issues, make sure you have a TWRP recovery installed. Boot into it.
Under Advanced, select Fix Permissions. Allow to fix, should take less than 20 seconds.
Reboot
Most of the time this will solve your problem.
Otherwise, you can always try to reinstall the system apps you think might have caused the issue.
If you're not rooted boot into stock recovery, wipe cache, and do a factory reset. Or you can try through the settings, but I don't know if that will work.
