[Q] Widget locker on razr - Motorola Droid RAZR

Anyone is using the widget locker lock screen replacement? How did you resolved "swipe to pin" that is not working on the razr stock lockscreen so I can skip the stock lockscreen and go directly to the password dialog??
Thanks

Do you have root?
Under root helper in advanced you can change it to the DROID bionic and it will auto swipe the stock lock

Yes I have - I tried all the possibilities in the root helper but the swipe is not being done correctly (if i am fast enough to swipe the locker screen an then the stock lock screen to see the password dialog, i can see that it swipes over "qwertyuiop" but its a wrong place because the unlock ring is much lower on the screen...) :-(

I just tested it on mine and it swiped the lockscreen just fine

May I ask you what is your setting and which type of the autoswipe you picked in the menu? Are you on stock 2.3.6?

Ya I'm on stock 2.3.6 .181, I have the ICS lockscreen style look. I picked the MotoBionic under the Advanced - Root Helper - Autoswipe Pin. Also just put in a password in the security & lock.

Strange - I have the exactly same setup but I can't bypass directly to the password prompt...- the ring in the middle of the screen remains untouched..
What do you mean by " Also just put in a password in the security & lock."?
Sent from my XT910 using xda premium

I put a password in the "location & security", I used the password setup...are you using the pin? I noticed with the pattern I didn't need to have the auto swipe to use the pattern lock

I am using standard password - not a pin or swipe geasture...
Strange....strange..... :-(

Lock screen...

Want a different lock screen. What is everyone using?

Most people use widgetlocker with a theme applied
I've tried a few different ones on the market. But none work properly with the finger print scanner
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
widget locker is supposed to support the FP scanner but I have yet to get it to successfully work at all, while others have claimed 100% working.
Widget locker, FB working 100%
Widgetlocker works great with my fingerprint scanner since their last update to address the issues with it.
If I have turned off the FS will I still have issues. I use a pin code instead of the FS.

How do you turn on the fingerprint scanner for it.... I feel dumb that I can't figure it out

Nope. Widgetlocker works with FS on or off.

Turn on FS for your phone, not Widgetlocker:
Settings > Location & Security > Change Screen Lock > Fingerprints.

Problem with "Screen Off and Lock"

I use the Screen Off and Lock app to turn off the screen without fumbling for the power button. For some reason it doesn't work properly on the S3 - it turns off the screen briefly but then the screen turns itself back on.
Does anyone know of a homescreen widget or app which will turn off the S3 screen?
I also install it, on my device its set the screen off, then it came back for a second and then off.

Yes, that's exactly what it's doing on mine now.
Unfortunately, it will only work properly if the lock screen security > none
Tested with Swype, face and pin. Obviously the screen security prevents it from staying off.

That's exactly how my settings are - the screen still switches itself on again momentarily after tapping then Screen Off and Lock app. I've now tried a couple of the other free "screen off" apps and widgets and they do exactly the same thing, so maybe there's some sort of issue with an API in the S3?

In the menu I posted, select "none", then it will screen off properly. The app (and others) obviously have issue with TW lockscreen with any setting other than "none".

Why not? Read my previous posts.
With lock set to "none", the app works properly, with any type of lock, the screen will flicker from off to lockscreen on.
This proves the app is not totally compatible with SGS3 TW lockscreen.

4didgit pin code lockscreen

I have to use pincode lockscreen on my phone and settings says i got to use 8 numbers i want to use 4.
Anyway to make this happen with native 4.1.1 lockscreen function without rooting?
And i dont want to use another app
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
I use 4? Not sure what your problem is?
PIN number is always 4 digits
Not SIM pin in lockscreen settings u kan chose swipe, password, pin among others. Before jellybean you could use only 4 numbers now you have to use 8.
Same on my coworkers updated S2

Is it a policy applied by your exchange server or something like that?

Nope not likley. becouse it was that way out of the box.
If you go to lockscreen settings and chose pincode as unlockfeture dosent it say that you have to use 8 numbers?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
see? I used 4 digits and it allows me to continue if I wish! And ofc, I set it by 4 digits and try it on lock screen and it works!
Maybe something messed with your device adminstration in your Security options .. idk

You could also take look at JKay Deluxe. Here you can use the quick settings button called 'Secure mode'. When Secure mode is disabled then you don't need to enter a pin code. But your phone still thinks you use a pin code!

Or set the lockscreen style in system settings to "none" even.

Right.
Go to settings>screen lock and set screen lock to none.
But I want there to be some type of security to get into phone. Or is this not possible

If you disable the lock screen in settings and then use the widget lock, i think you will just have one lock screen.

But there is no security like pin or pattern in widget locker right. So then I have no securoty

[Q] Quick Camera without Unlocking?

Hi guys,
First of all, i hate the iphone, but there's one thing i admire - the ability to open the camera without unlocking the phone (when a pattern/pin lock is present). I would like this ability within the S3... (rooted obviously)
I know about widget locker, but I don't believe this will allow camera access still without unlocking??
Lots of very capable devs on the S3, was wondering if its a possible mod to create?
Thanks
hello, I also would like it.
Coming from iphone too.
I saw a CyanogenMod 10.1 on a galaxy S2 that allows this. Hope ^^
Go to settings - security and lockscreen - lock screen options - turn on camera quick access..
Rotate the device in lockscreen while touching the screen to launch camera
Hope it helps...

This doesn't allow you to open the camera app without unlocking the phone first. If it did, would be awesome!! Love that motion
Then put shortcut of camera app in lock screen.. Then u wont be unlocking the phone but u will go straight to the camera

Nope this takes me straight to the pattern lock that i must enter, then after i unlock it will open the camera app..
same request here.
the method coming closest to the desired behaviour so far was possible on my previous android phone while using MIUI. there, an application based lock is implemented in the system (not through an additional app). MIUI is currently not an option for me, though, for other reasons.
i prefer my APEX/Raubkatze modified stock ROM.
cheers,
s.
I'm running CM 10.1 and this is definitely possible because I use this feature all the time. When my screen is locked I slide from the right to access the camera. I do not need to put in my pin.
You can add pages or change what they are in the lock screen by first locking your device, then when you see the keypad simply swipe it away. When its moved down just tap and hold an empty space and add a page. Put the camera on one of those pages and its done - use the camera app without unlock.
