Program to write - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

So I know how to take screen shots
But what problem do yall use to write on them before posting them to places?
Write using S pen of course

What?
Im not sure what you are asking?

Go to the pic and hit menu/more and edit. Then you can write on it and save it as a new pic. You have to use the stock gallery I believe .

Or.. Take the screenie with the s-pen... Then a screen will pop up with the shot, pen, eraser, and save options. Just write on that...

Damn. Forgot about that. Thanks for reminding me.

EDIT: ok i see it moves the edited image to a new different directory

Missing icon. Please help

I am posting a screenshot of my SGA.

See that marked area. I used to have that icon which when clicked, takes me to the window where all apps are listed. But it's been missing since yesterday (I don't know how) and I can't figure it out. Can someone help me?
Thanks in advance

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Press and hold an empty area
Press launcher actions (or whatever it is)
Press "Open/Close App Drawer"
There should be a new icon in the home screen
Drag it into the middle
Done ! Was that so hard ?
I figured that out myself a bit earlier, but my internet connection was not working and hence I couldn't update the thread. Sorry
Thanks for your effort anyway. It is exactly the same thing I did

how do I show an animated gif in a post ?

this is a very quite basic question I know, but I'm feeling pretty dumb today and don't see how to do it !
I simply want to insert my boot animation into my posting as Dr.Romca does here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=862963
I have created an amimated gif, but when I goto 'insert image' in the editor it asks for the url of the image ...
but only then inserts the url itself and not the gif, and adding it as an attachment is no good either
Is the URL to a .gif image?

}
EDIT: Works fine for me!
thank you,
I obviously did not have my brain in gear but the penny has now dropped !
my url was to a gif, and when I previewed it before posting naturally only the url itself was shown.
@Asovse1
I must be losing my marbles mate !
I have just done my post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21048666#post21048666
but as you can see I just get the url again. I used 'insert image' when typing my post.
why on earth am I missing something simple and being so stupid ?
Try manually typing in
When in doubt, do it manually.

[Q] Lock certain areas of home screen

Hi.
I've been searching but couldn't find the answer of my question.
Is there a app or other way to lock certain tiles of the home screen to disable pressing actions on these tiles? I just want to be able to press my widgets and icons, not the free space.
Thanks in advance
Pemell
I found a few things,not sure this is exactly what your looking for,but this probably the closest thing you'll find.... http://getsatisfaction.com/larvalabs/topics/slidescreen_2_0_beta_3 ,you can also take a look at this.... https://market.android.com/details?...t#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5zcGIuc2hlbGwzZCJd

Look at this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I want the brown boarder around the widgets to be unclickable. Don't want it to do anything when I'm pressing it.
Thanks,
Pemell
Bump! Need help about this, anyone knows a solution?
Thanks in advance!

[MOD] Native Screenshot for GB

Here is something I had wished I had for a VERY long time! I was poking around some other ROMs and just got lucky!
Big thanks to Hitorijanae! This came from the HTC Thing port here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1594490
Like I said, I got pretty lucky with this one! I was pulling roms apart to see what features they had that could be ported to SalsaSlide. This was the second one I tried for the Screenshot, and it worked. Was simply just a matter of copying over MySketcher.apk and libscreenshotutil.lib!
Hope some of you find some use for it!
Flash this zip and you will have Native Screenshot capability!!!
It will work with SalsaSlide 1.00, SS21, and Espresso Sense 2.1
I do not know if it will work on Froyo. Feel free to nandroid and try it out! If anyone is willing, please share your results!
NANDROID!!!
**************You MUST add this to your build.prop for this to work: (don't forget to leave a blank line at the end of your build.prop)
ro.htc.framework.screencapture=true
Once you have done this, press and hold POWER + HOME to capture a screenshot.
It will save to /sdcard/DCIM/

Question about/help with... SD Card issue

Not sure if I am posting in right place. If I am not, I apologize.
I have a S9+. I was using the camera app called Camera MX. I took some pics a week or so ago, then I took some this morning. When I go into the gallery of the camera app (the part where it shows the little thumbnail of the pics), the pics that I took a week ago have a little SD card icon in the corner of the thumbnail. And if I select one of those and try to delete it, I get a pop up screen.
I posted a screenshot of the pop up...
**If u cant see pic, the pop up says
FAILED TO DELETE FILES: these files can not be deleted due to restricted SD card access.**
So what does it mean? How can I fix it??
I dont think I have any kind of restrictions on my SD card. I have no clue.
Sorry if confusing.
I appreciate all the help.

Use Samsung Gallery instead, seems the app gallery doesn't have permissions to delete.
