S2 stuck in recovery mode - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello people im new to these type of things i have a problem each time i switch on my phone it goes into recovery mode so i have to click reboot now.
I have bought a new genuine s2 battery but my phone wont turn on when i put it on.
My firmware is XWLP7 Please email me on [email protected] with a solution please my phone is rooted with odin!!!
My.phone.is.rooted by odin but when i open super user it says 'is your phone rooted' huh
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA

ok one thing is to flash onether rom with your recovery " more safe than odin "
and make sure you have wiped data/factory reset and wipe cach and dalvic cach
try out any costom samsung rom , or cm9 if you like aosp
if it was a software problem , it will be solved by this method
if the problem still there , it may be hardware problem" i think it isnt" may be the volume up is hanging , so go to samsung to solve it to you
edit :
about your battery problem , take it out of the phone and leave it for 1-2 min , and then put it back and also wait for only 1 min , now turn it on , it will be fine now , if not , so it is your battery problem , change it only

factory reset an see,if not than flash a stock rom.....an is the batt compatible ,is it charging,an is it original, check all...

whatever you dont do
Whatever you DO NOT NOT NOT DO is format your partition youll definately wont be able to boot then even into recovery mode just thought id share that with you incase all other avenues failed.

I am a beginer în this: what is superwipe? Why all roms i try the phone not boot , remain blocked in image with HTC . I use clockmoderecovery, search ROM on sd card and I start the flash. After flash Rom phone restart and is blocked on image white with HTC. And i need to take out the battery and restore old ROM. Is my salvation.
Superwipe is required before any flash of a ROM .......superwipe:is a term used in data wipeing a phone dalvik cache, cache,&all userdata/factory reset <<<<<once this is done you may proceed to flashing ROM

8. Reboot phone and everything should be working...
On stage 5. my phone loads up to the android setup screen but a message comes up saying:
'Select and application for the USB device' and below that it says 'no application can perform this action' and another message below that ' %1$s is not responding. would you like to close it'.
İf İ try to do anything the phone just reboots and the same process keeps repeating. İ have searched but cannot find anything relating to this problem. Please help me....

Any other solutions?
save your important data from sd card(internal card) , copy to computer , make a hard reset(erase all internal data) flash a new rom via odin , root with cf-root via odin(i recomand xila 2 witch cf-root that u find here on xda,and xila2 room too, and then download the rom you wanted put it on your sd card,go to recovery wipe cache dalvik, wipe data factory reset, install the rom u want. after u may pasye the data you saved before on computer. good luck. for example u can save all your data witch titanium backup.
Download again the rom
Make a full wipe, factory reset,
Reinstall the rom
If that doesn't work
Install via Odin a CF root rom, and use other rom, like cm9

if you dont want to make that steps you may do this : go to recovery, mounts&storage, format cache , format data , format system , them reflash your rom from recovery , after this wipe cache wipe dalvik wipe data , and the fix permissions.

I have been thru the process you describe many times for testing purposes but I have never had to use the wipe option from the bootloader.
I normally just go into twrp and wipe system, factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik and then install rom.
Not saying you're wrong, I just have not encountered it.

[q] help , lineage os 14.1 i9300 nightly stuck at lineage os logo/boot logo

So after I flashing Lineage os , it was working fine and until recently , so I was out without my phone and then when I got home I try to open my phone(power on) but didn't open . So I go and charge the phone and it was going well like the battery logo is there and everything is like normal . And then I go play some games , when I checked my phone again , it is at Lineage os boot logo and it is very very hot too . So I force shutdown it . And then take the batteries out to cooldown my phone , after that I try to start it again , but no use . So I went to recovery mode and wiped cache and dalvik cache using TWRP , but no use also , my phone still stuck at the boot logo .
I am very sorry for my bad english

Try going to recovery and dirty flash the rom then wipe cache and dalvik then reboot.
By dirty flashing, i mean no wipes, just flash it over the existing one then wipe cache and dalvik then reboot.

Try using a different cable and a different USB port.
And check if MTP is enabled in "mount" through the button in the down right corner, it should say "disable MTP".

OK, try flashing your Stock ROM with Odin first.
and see if everything goes right.
then you will have to re-flash the TWRP and try again.

Make sure your imei still exists. If not then you need to fix the efs partition before you can proceed. Factory reset should always be done via the device software, NEVER TWRP!. TWRP has a habit of killing phones.

if TWRP kills phones, then it wouldn't have been the most famous and the most used custom recovery in the android world.
he can do factory reset from there as long as he isn't using stock ROM, and even if he uses stock ROM, it does no harm, but it's more preferable that he uses stock recovery for that.

Twrp has caused more mount issues than you've had hot dinners. The reason twrp is the 'most famous' recovery is because it's the only current recovery, Cwm is defunct. Cwm didn't cause mount issues, it only came about with twrp, on ALL devices.
I have also fixed the mount issue with twrp by changing recovery to an old official cwm and no problems since. Do not trust TWRP, you have been warned!.
