It works with Newts sense 4 Rom for sure, just swapped it out , rebooted wiped cache and dalvik and was good to go.
It should work on other sense 4 Roms but I haven't tested this yet
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2

Just installed, rebooted, clear cache, davlik cache and I have no quick settings in my pulldown.
Any ideas what went wrong?
Running newts sense 4 rc3
Edit: installed as in the apk.

Thank you so much for this!!! Works with RezRom v2.5.
Broke portions of the RIT...no surprise there. I'll further test this evening.

How did you install? I used Root Explorer, just make sure that you change permissions to R/W and put it in system/app folder. Restart and enjoy.

Ended up with no status bar, reinstalled the rom, tried again, no status bar. Didn't realize the rom wipes...
I'll try again.

Deleted those 2 files posted above, placed the systemUI.apk in their place, rebooted phone and still have no status bar. This is on a fresh flash, only thing installed is root explorer.
Guess I'll just wait until newt does it.
Hey newt, do everyone of your ROM's autowipe, or just when you have a new base?

You need to set permissions the same as the old then reboot. Also would not hurt to clear cache and dalvik

just so you know..
you could just flash the stock systemui.apk... instead of er flashing the rom...
only one file here is being replaced.
re starting the ROM for that is not needed.

pulling that from the rom while at work and only having access on my phone is probably just as tedious as reflashing with the autowipe.
Thanks for the suggestion though.

You my friend are awesome. Always on top of getting these mods out for people. Great job!!
I remote viewed them from my phone to my computer and they downloaded on my computer just fine... I then uploaded them to my drop box and installed them on my phone. They work perfectly... The only one I have not tried is the battery... I like the standard.
You do great work Andy and thanks again for helping me out with my request.
Anyone know of this will work on 1.6.0? I didn't update because I'm happy with everything the way it is and the update didn't include much. I don't want to screw it up but I'd like the volume wake.

Working AOSP Contacts and Dialer

Hey all,
So, I was doing some research in inverted apps today, and discovered that all the apps from this link:

Getting JB system app on ICS

I was wondering if it was possible to get the JB browser onto ics. I put the apk in system/app with the correct permissions (-rw-r--r--) and rebooted but it doesn't appear. Is it not possible or am I just failing

even though they are still in the 4.0 branch, ics apps and JB are still built on a different framework, so I don't doubt it not working... especially if you're trying to put the ics TW browser back, then it's definately not going to work...

Yea I thought I was in the S3 forums... even though they are both AOSP browsers, still the difference in ICS and JB probably won't allow it to work... You could try putting the file into system/app and rebooting into recovery, fix permissions, but I doubt it will work... The .apk will most likely need modification to work...

Google Now 100% Working

Hi guys if you read the portal (http://www.xda-developers.com/android/google-now-with-voice-search-finally-working-on-ics/) GoogleNow works great on ics and i have put together a nice flash able zip to get the job done Here. I take no credit for the actual application (Done by the guys Here) I just put a flashable zip together.
Instructions:
1. Delete GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk from /system/app
2. Flash Zip
3. Enjoy

So with the voice search working Google Now should be the same as on JB devices? Meaning it should have the colourful background?
I had installed it previously with these instructions (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1749045) and then updated with the zip made by the OP. Worked well and looked just like the Google Now on my Nexus 7 (colourful background).
But then I updated my Energy rom version and google now was wiped. Tried to follow the same steps again and I can't replicate the colourful background! it's just the white background. Any ideas?

An easier way, kinda, to install is to ... First, rename OR remove the GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk. Then flash .zip created by sportstar89. Confirmed working 100%

Edit: This Guy created a list of various commands you can give to GNow.

Like the best game ever!!!! Haha well not anymore imo, it definitely kills the time. Brings back memories of me playing it on my eris, or was it the incredible.... Too long ago.
i thought it was a misspelling of "tether" lol

Running Galaxy S4 rooted on JB 4.3, Sacs custom ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2512983&highlight=9603
The app starts with the full screen Teeter board display, then shrinks to one corner of the screen (about 25% of the screen), the little ball falls in the hole & makes the sound during the startup demo, then it just goes blank & app FC.
Silly as it sounds, this is one of my favorite games from the HTC EVO. I've been hunting for it for a long time now & was pretty excited to see it here.
Any ideas to get it working.

Well if the app relies on HTC framework it won't run correctly.
You can try to move to system/app and set perms correctly and try it that way

Not exactly sure how to accomplish that. Can you lend me a little guidance?

Download the apk, move it from downloads to the /system/app/ directory using an explorer type app. Then you will change the permissions to
Code:
rw-r--r--
then reboot
like I mentioned, i'm not entirely sure this will work on non-sense devices. (no pun intended, even though it does make a good pun lol)

This came from an OTA we received, in no way did I produce this. HTC would have to release it for your specific device.
