Encrypting Tablet - TouchPad General

When i try to encrypt the laptop, it just goes to a black screen with the android logo, but doesnt actually do anything. I was wondering what its meant to look like, and maybe theres a conflict with WebOS if i do this?

[Q] Advanced question: Graphical Error Message Screens - Can they be implemented?

From time to time, my Infuse 4G for various reasons seems to stall on a black screen but this isn't about that phone in particular as others do it too.
When stuck on a black screen or frozen screen image, I can connect via adb get access that way. I can look around, su and reboot it works just fine. I wish I knew what in particular was failing in order to restart it's process and if it were the VM it wouldn't really matter since a reboot would accomplish the same thing. More information from the OS is always better, in my opinion, though.
Point of this thread: When the screen goes black, I am not sure what is actually being displayed or what is doing the displaying, be it an app (if full screen), the whole VM or neither of these. If it is the whole VM or just the black/void background to whatever simple graphics server runs for android, could it be possible to insert simple wallpaper-like error-message images to the root of both the simple non-X graphics server AND to the VM's root so that when nothing is being shown it will be seen?
I don't know for sure, but I imagine if the VM dies it gets restarted immediately. If it gets stuck is another thing...
If this were to work, it wouldn't accomplish much but let the end user of the rooted phone know a little more about what state the phone is in and what needs to be eviscerated from the malfunctioning device. To those more knowledgeable about the Android system setup itself, can this be technically done?
Your thoughts?
Thanks.

[Q] Screen refusing to show anything past boot

This is in no way relevant to the last thread I made. My device is not bricked.
So, recently, I used a app called MobileGo by Wondershare to view and remote control the screen of my Kindle. I then discovered that it being bricked was not the case.
The screen was refusing to display anything past boot. The screen itself is not broken.
It will show the kindle fire logo on boot, the system recovery area (not Safestrap), and fastboot. Anything OS related doesn't appear to work.
Does anyone know what's going on with my device? Is there a fix? Let me know, thanks.

Android 4.4.4 tablet in (mostly) persistent reboot

My brother inlaw won some cheap (he won it in a vending machine ) Android tablet (7") where you turn it on, you get a splash screen (Tablet PC, Keep Moving Forward) with some animation on that text, then the tablet reboots. Every now and then I have gotten to what seems to be the main screen (like maybe 2 or 3 times) but as soon as you touch the screen it reboots OR locks up
I know jack about Android but told him I would take a look. I assume a hardware problem or maybe something corrupt in the software. I have been able to boot into what I will call the root menu. I have tired clearing the user cache as well as a factory reset. No help.
I am thinking it is a hardware issue but it would seem worth reinstalling the software (4.4.4). I have not had much luck figuring out if I can do this (everything I seem to find is on updating the OS not reinstalling or flashing), where to get the files/rom or how to do this. Any direction would be appreciated

I don't think so, i know few apps but they require few taps on a screen.... Im not even sure even if you connect, you see normal screen... i tried almost same thing with my laptop and external monitor, when they both show same desktop, and if i set main monitor, i turn it off manually and same happens to my screen on the laptop... its almost same thing with your phone...

Unbrick Ulefone S10 Pro

Evening all!
I managed to brick an Ulefone S10 Pro by trying to flash a rom onto it which ended in a brief error message and then the screen went black.
Since then, it wont boot up. There is just a black screen and it vibrates briefly as if it's starting up but then nothing, before repeating ad infinitum.
When I connect it to a computer, the computer makes the connection sound, then a few seconds later, the disconnection sound. Nothing is shown on the phone nor the PC at this time.
I have no clue what to do as it doesnt stay connected to the computer long enough to be recognised before disconnecting and nothing appears on the phone screen. Ive tried disconnecting the battery and connecting to the computer without it but the same thing happens
Haylp!
Thanks
