It's probably been mentioned 100 times but just so I'm sure. There are no headphones w/ mics that allow you to talk through the mic, play/pause/rewind/skip songs at all? Did I get that right?

Even though beats audio is on this device, my white solo beats control talk doesn't work with it. Not a deal breaker but I'll live with it.

I haven't made a call with them yet, but my headphones are able to control music (Music & WinAmp) using the inline remote. I use MEElectronics M6P.
Semi-working headphones/mic
My old Sennheiser MM 50 iP single-button set is working for me, for calls. As for music, at least it works in Poweramp.
The button will only start-stop songs in the Sense/Google/Amazon players, and there is no means to advance songs.
The long-press used to advance songs in Poweramp opens the voice dialer app, annoyingly. I have root so I just moved that out of system/apps and all is well.
Double-press is similarly assigned to redial the phone.

I have this Plantronics Explorer 240, that I have synced to Streak (2.2.2).
When I am playing games, I cannot hear the audio through the BT headset.
Even the notifications are not heard through the headset.
but, when I am on a call, and I play games, or get a sms>
I get to hear all the audio through the headset!
Is this a bug or what?
Or, is there a way, that I can source all the sounds to my headset (all the time, not just during the call)?
Explorer 240 is not A2DP, right?
thanks,
Sony.
Navigation or music?
Navigation (voice) or music:
can I get any of this on my Plantronics 240?
Please help - I have a trip planned next weekend! and I need either OR (both )
Thanks,
Sony.

Help please!
Kind people of Streakville
You won't get media audio from a BT headset without the A2DP profile. You need a headset that supports this. When you get game audio while in a call it isn't working properly, the audio from your music player or game app should mute when you get a call.

Yes, agree about the A2DP part,
but, I am taking a different clue from this-
The game media if it is playing over my BT Headset - we can do something to get it doing that other times too!
can you (others) confirm what happens in similar case on your non-A2DP BT headsets?
Thanks,
Sony.
There's an app that will do it... called Super BT Mono Froyo I think iswhat its called that will solve your problems.... I didn't use it for long because I soon bought an A2DP headset

Super thanks!
That is perfecto!

Can anyone tell me how to do this?
I maybe pulling this out of my ass but I think there are different profiles for headset vs. media audio. I have a pair of Nokia bluetooth headphones that function as both. When I pair it with the phone, it shows up as two devices. One as a headset and another as "media audio" so if you're device isn't designed for it, it may not work
and even if you get it to work, it will sound like crap with low bitrate mono audio
Stop pulling stuff out your ass! XD
Super bt mono froyo free.
I would post a link, but I can't seem to find the share button. It sounds like crap, but it works.

I paired up my Note with my new Belkin A2Dp Car kit and found that I am not able to control the bluetooth volume for the phone/voice profile.
Voice input sounds distorted as does any voice going out to the speakers. In calls the person I am calling sounds distorted and they say I do also. Obviously voice commands are useless as the phoe cannot identify what I am saying properly due to the distortion.
It's as if the mic-boost is blasted all the way up for the voice call bluetooth profile, is this the same issue of Samsung's crap BT stack that they never seem to fix?
I tried using an App called A2DP volume to force volume settings on connect but they have no effect on the BT in call volume, even the volume rocker on the phone does nothing during a call.
I dont see any volume or mic controls on my bluetooth device as it is a car-kit.
The music audio quality over A2DP is excellent and not distorted at all.
Joel
Anyone? Surely other people are using BT headsets and car kits with their note?

Yep the A2DP profile is clear and sounds great, as I said in my post, but the phone call profile is distorted and blown out, adjusting the volume on the phone seems to have no effect on this profile.
To clarify...no issues on mine. .phone calls included

I had a similar problem with a Kenwood player once. I had to update the player from the Kenwood site to fix it.
I think it's a bit outdated, but did you manage to fix it?
I have this belkin device and the same volume call issue (can't use it for calling). Tried with the phones in my signature and with an iphone 4s and get this issue with both. Only with an iphone 3g I could control volume successfully. Maybe it's only compatible with apple devices. iphone 4 doesn't work because ios5 disabled bluetooth call volume control.
It's too disappointing..
Bluetooth Distortion
Hi there. I upgraded my SGS i9000 to Jellybean JRO03L recently - latest build is excellent. However, Bluetooth call quality is distorted as per Griffindodd but ADP2, although relative quiet is very good.
Can't figure out what options I have.
Have the same issue in terms of controlling car music volume on the dashboard, but haven't noticed call quality, just got the a2dp application and will let everyone know how it works
Update: didn't work, still can't adjust volume via dash
Sent from the Jelly Way Galaxy
still nobody has any solution for this?
Sent from the Jelly Way Galaxy
figured out a work around for myself, so I found that when playing through Apollo I could control the volume on dash but not while playing Pandora and others, so what ended up working is loading both, pausing Pandora, playing Apollo to get volume control, then holding down the back button to kill Apollo(make sure this is enabled in developer options in phone settings), then Pandora should start playing again all by itself and still have volume control.

Does anyone use an audio profile app they really like? I'm trying to find one that will consistently apply a custom EQ only when connected to my bluetooth helmet. The rest of the time I would like the EQ to be perfectly flat, with no intervention at all. Is this even possible? I need to knock the treble way down for listening to music while riding and would appreciate it if it didnt apply to profile to my other bluetooth headsets used for phone calls.
i like using the stock music app or google play music. I do own poweramp but it didnt have this function.

I used a software called DSP Manager, but I don't see it in the Play store anymore. But if you search for DSP in Play store you should see some other ones that do pretty much what your looking for.

I don't see nothing illegal by doing so, hes just modifying the why the music sounds on the fly not permanently applying the modification. It's up to the consumer to regulate how he listens to the music.
No my concern was the listening to music while wearing the helmet. Not the changes to the phone it self. Sorry I didn't make that clear.
Will
^Headphones in helmets are legit.
I use Volume+, on both transformer prime, and the evo.
it works great. Has seperate profiles for Handset, speaker, bluetooth, and headphones.
Unfortunately it wouldn't allow seperate settings for two seperate bluetooth devices though. Its just bluetooth in general.
Although, the way your headphones probably come up as media audio and a handsfree comes up as a headset device, maybe it would treat it differently, would have to try it out.
This refers to the eragon 2.8 rom that comes with both.
Should only one be used for best sound?
For years I have not bothered with anything like this as I used the poweramp app which comes with its own sound settings that I've been happy with. Can I get better sound using Dolby or viper?
What are your opinions on this?
Both drivers can provide a much better audio if you equalize them correctly.
I prefer viper because you can have a different profile for the speaker, headhones and usb/bluetooth.
With atmos, if you equalize correctly for the speaker, when you listen through the headphones it's messed up with a lot of bass and i end up turning atmos off and on.

Do you use the music player that came with eragon?
If you use a different music player app that has its own eq/tone settings, should I leave them flat/0?

I am talking about Spotify for music, speaker ok but if a play it in my car's bluetooth audio is a mess.
I noticed same behaviour with youtube in speaker/headphones (can't play youtube in my car yer )
I think best equalizer profile for the speaker has a 'U' form.
