Hi,
Has anyone ported the Backup and Restore app that came with Xperia Mini phones for ICS?
I am unable to restore the backups in ICS, that where take in CM7 using same app.
It gives me same old "unable to read file error", i tried to the old trick of replacing the Deskclock.apk, but that doesnt help, its stuck at same place. i guess some modification has to be done to native Deskclock.apk to ensure Backup and Restore works.
I'm looking for this too....
Here is an ICS Rom that includes backup and restore app. Maybe you can rip it from there and make it work, or install that ROM (If you've got a x10mini-pro)
Now x10 mini also have the rom wt backup and restore. Checkout ArcMini ICS rom by Pranav at x10 mini android forum

If an official rom needs to update a kernel version. The SEUS shall update it accordingly.
And if any custom rom needs specific kernel or baseband then the DEV shall provide it.
So nothin to worry about

You can always reflash ur phone with seus. Origin roms works everytime (if not, try to reflash it again)

Thanks for the help guys.
And i've been thinking. If I re-flash my phone using seus, is it my waranty still valid? Or its void after I install custom rom?

I am a noob so plz don't mind if my question sounds silly..
I am using an unlocked X10 on stock SE 2.3.3 ROM with DooMKernel v0.6 for unlocked bootloaders.. I want to switch to the feralab v13.2 volt rom.. But in the installation guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24106417&postcount=1884) it says:
Before installation please make a backup of your contacts/apps because rom will make a full wipe of your phone.(DONT use Titanium backup to restore DATA for this rom or you may get force closes..)

1)Just make a backup of current ROM with xRecovery and when You flash the feralab do advanced restore in xRecovery. I think that feralab is stock based ROM so there shouldn't be any problems.
2)Other way is to use my tool. Just check the signature

Yeah, I tried to restore in many ways: app, app+data, create update.zip etc. but not working, and unfortunately, I also cannot use phone call afterthat So I decided to flash it back to stock rom.
Thanks for your support, mate
