[REQUEST] Caravan game from Fallout NV - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi All,
Not sure if there any super skilled developers out there that would like to port the fantastic in game card game caravan from Fallout - New Vegas to Android tablet?
I for one have wasted several hours in the game playing caravan and I think it would be awesome if someone could do this port.
Maybe even add an online element.
It would be amazing and I would pay money on the market for it.
Anyway here's to hoping.
can't post links atm so please google it to learn more

One's available from Google Play, if you search for Fallout + Caravan you will find it - it's called "Caravan (Card Game)"

Rule the Kingdom

What you think of 'Rule the Kingdom' ?
It seems like a great idea, an rpg + sim/simcity style game.
Its free to download.
The part that I think breaks the gameplay is the huge fremium portion of the game. It takes forever to do anything unless you spend crystals, which are extremely rare unless you buy them with real money.
But without the fremium, I think the game would be great. (I refuse to spend money on fremium games)
EDIT:
Haha, just found a huge exploit in the game, so now you don't need to to buy diamonds to speed things up
The game's time is dependent on the system's time. Meaning if you go to settings and increase a day, a lot of resources you were making just finish instantly (and you get the daily chest).
There are downfalls to placing the system's time back to the real time.
What I did:
Went back to the year 2001, used the diamonds that came originally, to heal my character. Now i'm playing till i pass the game. Safely advancing the time by day. When i complete the game, i go back to today's time and wait for the new content with a loooot of resources hehehe.

I will say it right off the bat, and it goes with ANY game on ANY console; I despise freemium and pay to win. They are horrible and just scam the customer. Even when you "purchase" a game and are able to buy your way through faster and better equipment. I had a game similar to that called MyCountry and I downloaded a cheating client so I could have as much money as I wanted and actually play the game. I can't stand those. Other than that I know quite a bit of people to play that game and enjoy it, so it could be fun. Who knows.
Anyone have suggestions for similar games, pref. with no pay to win / pay to get items ?
Been looking for sim games for ages ( civ like games etc)

Or age of empire like game, or better still a port of space empires
Im surprised there are not more real time startegy games for android, as real time strategy and touchscreen controls seem to go hand in hand if done right

I am a big fan of the SimCity series and EA has a full on port of in the Play Store that is very well made. Very nice touch controls. Don't know if that's your sort of game, but I thought it was worth it. And i completely agree with the A full Touch RTS would be fantastic

Updated the original post with info to make this game free, not fremium.

Great Little War Game (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rubicon.dev.glwg) and Great Big War Game (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rubicon.dev.gbwg) are both very well done and fun RTS games. Another game I would recommend is Pirates! Showdown (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.flashpointgames.piratesshowdown), it's combat is somewhat similar to that of Age of Empires.

Android RTS
Ok. the best one is Art of war 2 but it is short, then you have Rusted Warfare which is in alpha stage and you have Z origins. You can always buy N64oid from the Slideme Market and play Starcraft but like the previously mentioned games there is a lot to be desired. It drives me nuts that no company has bothered to make a actually good RTS game for Android(I'm looking at you Warfare Incorparated).God I hope one comes along soon!!!!
And this the wrong section.

Age of strategy dude. You wouldn't believe how many similarities it has with age of empires. The first is the name. The only diffrence is that age of strategy is a turn based game. Still a good game though!!!
Crystal Legends RTS

is it possible to port these 2D pc games to android

I want to port "Desperados Wanted Dead or Alive" and "Robin Hood the Legend of Sherwood" (two of my all time fav pc games) to Android. I used to spend so much time playing these games when I was a lil kid. Amazing games. Dont understand why they havent yet been ported to Android. I reckon they would sell a few millions on the GPlay if the pricing was right. (Profit guaranteed) I would definitely buy them if they were available on the GPlay. Anyway since they are not and probably never will, I am trying to find out how to port these games to android. Since they both are 2D point and click games they would be perfect to play on the android platform and also much easier to port to android than 3D pc games.

If they are available on ps2 then you can download the roms of them (game .bin file) and run them in a PS2 emulator on android. Same with PSP games, there is PPSSPP!
You may find roms on coolrom.com!

I don't know about these games. But if they are DOS based games (like Dangerous Dave, Digger, Prince, Prince of Persia),
then you can use DOSBox to play the games.
More information is at DOSBox Play Store Page here.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fishstix.dosbox
Even if these games are not for DOS, you seem to be a person interested in old games (just like me). Then you can play those charming old games on DOSBox.
Press Thanks if helped.
Dangerous Dave
Dangerous Dave is already on Google Play, it's pretty good too.

more bluetooth games

So you gave your kid your old phone and would like to play a head to head game together?
But the phone is not activated (so no data) and you are in the car (so no wifi).
Bluetooth becomes your only option.
But since I haven’t been able to find much yet (including searches here on xda), I’ll post what I have found and hope that you can post what you’ve found.
*Let's keep wifi games for a different thread; this is just for Bluetooth (or any other means of direct communication with 2 non-activated phones).
And for any parents, this also allows brother and sister to play against each other.
That way they can fight with their phones, not with their fists! ☺
-Slot car racing (my favorite so far) *it has a 3d in car-view that is great!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobialia.slot
It also has a build your own track option.
-Umz mini Games (my daughter likes the balloon pop one)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.umzgames.umg&hl=en
-Bluetooth games (these are poor quality but do provide competition)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=www.JvK.BTGames&hl=en
-This is a great one if you like ping pong. No matter what I do I can not beat my son.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sensedevil.VTT
cool. wonder if theres a tweak out there or if someone could make a mod of sorts to have Bluetooth emulate wifi for wireless play like this? would enable more games id think. probably much easier said than done though.
There's also POU. Various PvP games playable via bluetooth.
Umz Mini Games - THANKS

WoW ! I'm really glad you liked the games and HAPPY to have made the list :good: That's Great. Really Great.
Well there will be a major update coming near the end of this month, give or take so I hope you keep it and continue to enjoy!
:victory::highfive: It's so great seeing things like this!!
Thank you very much!
I'd recommend Blobby Volleyball - very popular.
Pou is also a very good one, already been recommended.
That's awesome. Please post here when the update is available!
UPDATE Out!
OK I've just posted the update to the market, it should be available now.
I've made major changes to the UI and game engine so I had to remove alot to rebuild.
Give me your opinion and let me know what you want to see back in the game, or new in the game for the next update in 2 ish months :good:
Hello @UmzGames:
Nice games. Do you consider to publish them on fdroid as well?

What would that be? Another platform? I've posted it to Google Play and Amazon so far.
UmzGames, thanks for the update. Love the new menu and other features, and still love playing those games with my daughter.
I've added another bluetooth game to the OP.
Please keep looking for other great bluetooth games!

Our experience building a DayDream Game

We've worked on a Daydream game called Oz Chicken Slayer, development took a bit less than a month, it was a bit of a trial as we already work in the VR space but on Oculus.
We've documented what we did here: http://tengio.com/blog/oz-chicken-slayer-case-study/ If anyone is interested. The game is on the normal play store.
You can find the game here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tengio.oz_chicken_slayer if anyone is interested.

Hey this is really cool, thanks for sharing it. Now that I've taken a look at your website, I fell inspired to make a small VR project for daydream (a simple model with points that you can teleport too around it) but I simply don't have much time or enough knowledge with unity.
I'll be following some of the tutorials on the website and get back to you. Thanks for this, I've really wanted to develop a VR application.

So I've got the app to work on my phone, a simple app with a bunch of rings that you can fly through as a test. Now I've noticed a lot of lag with many complex shapes so I've turned down the shadow quality but it doesn't help much. So I was wondering if you knew how to bake shadows? Th only moving object in most of my products will just be the player so I don't need real-time shadows as the player does not need a shadow.
