Hello! I just bought a Galaxy S2 and it comes with the famous pink spot on camera, so i've decided to return and ask for a new one.... after receiving the new one... this one has the pink spot too! but i found how to solve that issue...
So, after some days with phone i found that the screen looks yellow tinted on the left side...
And yesterday i found that when you shake your phone to the front hardly... it makes a weird noise a "thick" like something is loose inside of the phone on the camera area... I've tried removing battery sim card and sd card and shaking the phone again! there is that noise...
is that normal? can some1 try it shake ur phone...
idk what to do... if ask for a new one... or send it to care center...
plz advise
Did you ever think that that sound might come from volume and power button? Try holding the buttons and shake again. Those buttons are neither screwed nor glued so a little noise is normal.
Mine also nakes a little sound but if I hold the buttons it stops. I have no problem with it.

This is a very rare scenario as most of the people(including me) dont have this problem.
If your phone is under warranty just ask for rma pointing out the problem.
if not then fix it via service center.
Have you tried shaking your phone front/rear side hardly? it sounds like something is loose inside... anyway i think im gonna ask for a rma

I have tried it, nothing as such.
Also did you try opening the battery panel and clean it with some vaccum cleaner?
I can reproduce this on my phone, but it requires special kind of move (like hammering) so I think everything is ok.
It's possible that this loose part is vibration motor (or something else used for vibration - I don't know construction details of SGS2), so it's designed to be loose in some directions

I wouldn't call it "rattling". It's just single sound during sharp front to rear move. So for me it's simple . We haven't bought rattles but phones, so let your new purchase to demonstrate the potential by using it like a phone.
I think it makes a camera. When you move backward and forward moves the camera lens and it can rattle ..

Hi same strange sound here:
i found that if you enable the camera, the sound stops.
So:
camera disabled -> tick sound shaking the phone
camera enabled -> no tick sound
So, it's obivious that it's a camera related issue, almost in my case.
My camera works well, but have the issues:
pink spot
framerate loss during low light filming (using -2 gain to sensor solves this)

Hard bricked. The device didn't turn on after restoring ROM/ flashing new ROM from CWM (can't remember because it was a long time ago). The download mode/ recovery mode doesn't work.

Why get a new motherboard instead of JTAG
Because it's unlikely a JTAG would work. If the NAND is stuffed, it needs to be replaced. Samsung don't sell NAND's separately (or new motherboards without an authorised service centre performing the swap), so you replace the whole board; either a service centre putting a new board in, or you get a 2nd hand board from a broken/donor phone & you swap it yourself.

Can I use a i9100g motherboard instead of i9100?
No. Read up on the differences between the i9100 and i9100G. They have different processors for a start.

Hi guys,
I bought an i9100 with cracked screen, it would turn on and welcome sound could be heard but nothing would be displayed, not the boot logo. I replaced my motherboard with it. But now the problem is, LCD seems to be not working. When I turn on the device, welcome sound can be heard and I can unlock the phone but can't see anything. While the phone is still on and I lock&unlock my phone using power button, the screen kinda flashes white. Do you think the problem is with my LCD or motherboard itself?:crying: Screen was perfectly fine before I hard bricked my phone.
Thanks.

Nah!!! :silly: this cant be a motherboard problem as you can hear the lock and unlock sound and the screen is flashing... this means that the motherboard is fine and working but looks like the LCD is not working.
oops!! This means the only solution to the problem is to change the LCD Screen as there is no other way to fix this!!
Sorry!!

Oh, I was thinking that maybe the part of the motherboard where we connect the LCD flex cable was damaged because my screen still kinda lights across the screen when I unlock it and my screen was fine before hardbrick/replacing mobo.

Hello,
Like the title says, the power button is not working, meaning i cannot turn on and off the screen, this is of course a problem, but a bigger problem is that if the battery runs out, there isn't a way to turn it on. Or is it?
Is it possible to assigned the functions of that button to another? Is there an easy fix for this? Is there an easy way to remove that button and see what underneath it?
Regards,
Me :fingers-crossed:

If it's a hardware problem and you are still under warranty, you could send it to the service center!

Maybe you could try to move the button from the left to the right and up and down if you take off the battery cover. Then you push it in all directions (caution: don't break it!) and maybe it's just stuck somewhere inside and you can release it

Nobody can tell you if they will find out, so you could try it and if everything goes well they repair it. If not they send it back without repairing or they tell you how much it is to repair and you can decide if you let them repair the phone or not
only option left

I have a motorola MB860 phone and after a repair both frontal and back cameras don't work.
When I touch the camera button the camera app opens but the screen is black. If I touch the shutter button it looks like the picture is taken, but it doesn't save the picture. The flash doesn't work. And frontal camera is the same thing. Only a black screen. The camera app doesn't force close or anything. It opens normally, but cameras don't work.
I tried updating the software of the phone and still the same issue with both cameras.
Do you know if it is a hardware problem? Speakers, microphone, and volume keys work fine. I know they are connected to the flex cable of the front and back camera. So what does that mean?
I just need to know if I need to change the parts or maybe there is something else I can try to fix it. And what are the symptoms of a camera that doesn't work? Should the camera app force close or should it do what I mentioned before? Show a black screen?
Thank you

I would think that cables are well connected. The repair was change of touch screen and display. However, let me know if I am wrong, but I think rear camera and frontal camera are in different cables. So it's weird that both are not working. And I understand that one cable also has the speaker, mic and volume keys. Which they all work. So that is why I'm confused about this.

Rear camera has the vol up and down keys and headphones. Were both cameras working prior to repair?
Sent from my DROIDX using xda app-developers app
Yes they worked before the repair.
What I would really like to know is if that behavior means that the cameras don't work and they need to be replaced. I'm guessing that if the volume keys and headphones are working then the camera must work too. So why does it show a black screen? The app opens, but shows a black screen.

Not necessarily. I had my vol keys not working and my camera and headphone jack still worked. It could be hardware related. But i seriously would double check the connections first. Are any on screen camera buttons showing up or is it just a blank screen?

The fact that the camera app does not force close leaves me feeling very curious. It might be helpful to know what ROM +kernel you are using, and posing the logs might give us a better chance at diagnosing the problem. It's possible that the cables were damaged during the repair, not at the connector end, but around the cameras.
Ok, here is the rom and all phone specs attached in a picture:

I have THE same problem and both cameras stopped working as yours after the replacing the touch screen (digitizer)

I used (flash) 3 or 4 different ROMS and it still not working, also i installed differen camera software thought normal apk and recovery too... this doesn't work
Nope, it is a hardware problem. IIRC, both cameras do not share the same flex, but I don't recall if one was connected to the other

Some guys from motofan.ru said that this problem may be becuse of conflict with touchscreen controller on the main board of phone... that why I think that the replacement of touch may be the decision of this problem... But i'm not sure... And now i have no opportunity to find any touch for my atrix...
Also may you tell where did you buy your touch (digitizer) is it original or chinese version
P.S. in my case flash is working fine...

Hi to all!
I'm a new user,so i'm sorry if i'm writing on the wrong part of the forum; I have a problem with my ulefone be touch 2; when i open my camera,i see only black with some blue/green lines on it,and i also can't change from frontal to left camera, and also i can't use the left flash,it seems that i don't have the left part of the phone(fotocamera and flash).
Someone else have or had this problem before? Some hints to solve this problem? Thank you very much
Camera problems
I have a similar problem with mine. Mine only shows all white and I also cannot choose between the rear and front camera. Whenever I shoot it only captures a white screen. Also whenever I use the flashlight, the front led lights up when it used to open the rear one. I've read somewhere that resetting to factory settings will solve the problem. I still haven't tried it.
I have it too. Factory reset did nothing.
Same problem here all of a sudden after 3 months of use. Any idea how to fix?
Thanks in advance
Also have a problem that came up with the camera. Suddenly getting a message saying "no camera hardware found". Can't use front or rear cameras or even the flashlight.
Any ideas would be most appreciated.

Just a word of caution - for some reason, after reassembling my phone the camera worked fine but the accelerometer and magnetometer stopped working.
Now looking for a solution to that...
Hi ask to myefox my dealer to ask ulefone to make a video how to open and solve the problem.
No way to solve by resetting or even flashing new firmware.
Ulefone is a real pirates company: I have two phone ,same problem in the same time (three months) I bought one again waiting for reparation in china the first, when their first come back repaired , the second falls in the same problem and now the one repaired is broken again.

How did you solved it? Did you open the parts and reconnect the camera connectors?
My back camera and flash stopped working and only the front one works and showing everything upsidedown. Flashing the rom from the beggining did not solve the problem.
I just reconnect the flex into the mainboard. I disassembled the phone and when I re connected the camera it started working
