i just bought galaxy SII and i dont know what is kernel and how to root im using gingerbread i want to upgrade to I C S and yes i want to delete some preloaded apps. please help me out

first thing is:
questions go in the q&a section. reported.
and as stated above, there is no need to rush into this. all the information is here and only if you are capable to read up on it, you will understand what you are doing. only then should you start flashing roms and root your phone. without the basic information you are likely to destroy your new phone.
1) you don't need to be rooted to update to ICS. Select the Samsung ICS Stock rom for your place from this link and download it. Don't worry the guide for flashing through is there in the link
2) you can then download the kernel from this link to root you phone. The guide is there for this too..
enjoy your S2 with root. It is definitely worth it..
Though fair warning.. You'll lose your warranty.

this is not a froum where you're spoon fed on infromation. You want to know something? Google is your friend. You want to find something? I don't see why Google wouldn't be capable of that either.

Hello guys, i bought SG 2 a week ago, there is android 2.2.
I have some questions, how i can to patch it? because i know that, there are more updated versions of android. Another question is, am i need in it?(patching)

Read the stickies, and check out Intratechs thread there is a guide in there in how to update a stock ROM, I suggest you try a stock ROM first.
It's in the original Android development thread.

what it means?
the simplest way to update the firmware would be to plug it into the pc and connect it via samsung Kies and it should automatically tell you that there is an update available just download and install it however please backup ure data before doing anything.

you dowloaded cwm after rooting?
better you stay away from rom manager, root with CF-root, you will get the app CWM manager with similar functions to Rom manager, will work withall the custom kernels for SGS2

Your first problem is, you can't read or follow simple instructions.
Goto the thread link in my previous post, go to the first page and follow the instructions carefully
You don't need root to do what you are looking for.

Which is the best to choose?
Should i do backup first?

How can i add the S3 function with s voice on my phone? What others app should i add too?

first enjoy ur new phone with 2.3.5 for a while, then u update ur phone to android V4.0.3 from 'KIES and stay on it for a while
after that u try to explore the possibilities of rooting and installing Custom Rom/Kernel etc ma8
its a sincere advice for a new member ma8 u can take it or live it though

just visit the 'Themes and apps' section ma8, u find a lot info regarding apps including S-voice of S3 ported to S2 there

Ive made a pretty stupid mistake with flashing, and now my bootloader seems to be gone, can anyone tell me where to download a working (preferably stock) bootloader for my UK GT-I9300 that I can put straight into odin?
I'd like to use either ICS 4.0.4 or JB 4.1.2..

well, if you asked this in the i9300 forum, you would indeed get the correct help, but this is the S1 forum, so most will not be able to help.

Sorry, I thought I was in the I9300!!!
Stock rom from sammobile includes bootloader, but I seriously doubt you've actually broken the bootloader. If you have then you'll need more than just an odin flash to fix it.
