[Q] Music Player Question - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

When playing music on the Galaxy S3 and you turn it over or put your hand over the screen, it pauses the music.
If I put it in my pocket (whether jacket or back pocket) will the music pause then too?
Also, does it matter if you have the headphones plugged in?

Please move to Q&A
Thanks

Bump

No...
Not if the screen is turned off before you put it in the pocket.

Thank goodness! And thanks for checking.

[Q] Parrot Zik Bluetooth very slow

Hi
I have just bought the Parrot Ziks, (gosh are they expensive :s)
However i have noticed that the bluetooth functions take a very long time to take affect.
For example, when I pause the music it what feels like a long time to actually pause the music.
Is there a way of speeding it up from the phone?
**EDIT**
btw. I'm using PowerAmp
Sorry I can't give you an answer yet!!. I ordered mine today. Can you give any comments on the headphones as a whole? Particularly sojnd quality, the weight and comfort. Thanks.
And they were expensive!! A birthday present so I got lucky.
the headphones themselves are awesome. the sound quality is superb and they feel very comfortable..
even after hours of listening my ears don't hurt, which is my problem with on-ears headphones.
battery life lasts me about 12h which is more than enough to get me through 3 days of listening (way to work and back)
i hope you'll find them as good as I do..
have fun

So I got my pair of Ziks yesterday. Truly amazing headphones. I can honestly say that the sensors are working great for me and the reaction time for pausing, skipping songs, volume up and down are virtually instantaneous for me.
It did take 30 seconds for them to connect to my phone. Which was a while compared to the first time which was like 2 seconds.
All in all.. I am beyond satisfied and with the purchase. Viper sound mod and all the studio irs settings just make these sound even better!!
Btw.. Thanks for the feedback!!

Another question for you, have you charged these using a car phone charger or anything other than the pc usb?

[Q] How do you stop the buzz for any played audio?

No matter what ROM, player, or equalizer there is a horrible background buzz and "watery noises" . Even in speaker I could hear it.
EDIT: Wrong section...
maybe your speaker is blown? Do you get this sound when using head phones aswell? The audio circuiting on your board might be a little bit wack

Yep. Is this normal for this phone? I did accidentally play a song at max volume which once. Could this had affected the phone?

[Q] How to fix the speaker volume?

Hey guys,
I've been having an issue with the volume on my phone. There is very little sound coming out through the speaker on the back. To be able to hear anything at all, I have to stick the speaker right up to my hear and even then you can barely hear any sound even though I've put the volume on max. When I plug headphones in, the sound is fine. Only when I'm trying to listen to music without earphones or trying to hear my notifications and ringtone when someone calls me, it gets very little sound. I'm using AOKP Jelly Bean 4.1.2 if that helps. This starting happening when I was using my Nike+ Running app. Music was playing while I was running and then all of a sudden the music stops. I found out that it didn't stop because my music was still going when I plugged in headphones and the sound was still coming out of the speaker but very low that you could not hear it. If you guys have a solution, please help me out. Thanks.
I did have something familiar and was the headphones cable not properly connected...

I'm assuming you've tried doing a full wipe before posting this question, as if that fixed there would be no reason to post this question? If not, do that. That's always a trouble shooting step that should be done before posting. If it doesn't fix it, it could be a hardware issue.

Edit: Did a full wipe as well as unroot. Still doesnt work so I assume it is a hardware issue. Thanks for the help guys.

Had the same problem on a captivate one time. There was lint in the port for the headphones. Cleaned it out and speaker started working again.

if you sent it in for this buzzing then it will get sent back. Possibly a new device, but will still have the issue.
it happens when the speaker is producting static and no output. until the speaker turns off.

Thank you. It's especially noticeable when you put on the sound clear audio + options. Also when I listen to some music with this enhancer it like crackles with the enhancer on...like.streaming tv it just sounds strange. Guess it's similar to the image/video enhancer which makes some stuff unbearably grainy
I do hear some buzzing if I play a song and there are some quiet parts in the song, but it doesn't buzz after the song is finished. Same with YouTube. I can only hear it if I hold the speaker up to my ear, and since I just noticed it now and I had to "look" for it, it doesn't bother me since it's not noticeable under normal usage.

Same here, i only hear it when it's ultra quiet in the room. Not annoying to me, gives me an analog feeling

I have received a new phone from warranty and it does not have the buzzing that I was experiencing with the previous phone.
I'd link an audio sample to my issue, however xda won't let me.

Help!!! Little noise in ear speaker!

hi all, my ZU is new, have it a week ago and im love with it but today i notice a strange noise on the speaker on top, the one used to listen in call people!! is a type of static noise, nothing i can listen when i have in my hands but when i put it in my ear i listen!! and that noise only appear when device is locked with screen off, and with no in call. i want to know if anyone notice that in our device?! i cant say if its normal or my devide have a problem!! help plz, sorry for my bad english!
Isnt the volume too high?
Perhaps there is something in "settings>call settings" that may be causing issue. I Read somewhere of someone who turned off both 'Microphone Noise Suppression' and 'Speaker Voice Enhancement' which cleared up sound issues with the ear speaker.
Could be worth a shot

I know what you are talking about .... It does not come only from earspeaker ... but from the whole top side. It can be heard only when you put the phone close to your ear. But it is annoying during the call.
I think it is badly shielded antenna. The sound it makes sounds the same like interference fom 3G/WiFi/Bluetooth in this video (but less noisy) ... watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKP5KmPRvHQ
I have the same problem as other guys on that czechoslovakian forum http://forum.xperia.cz/viewtopic.php?f=82&t=14223 ... they bought their phone in the same store like me
