I bricked my phone by Flashing pudding with RSD LITE before I unlock my bootloader. Someone told me I should flash pudding to unlock bootloader. Flashing procedure has failed and I got this at the end : http://tinypic.com/r/2lfk1/6
I was on gingerbread 4.5.91, rooted ATT device. I bought it from USA and I'm in Turkey now. I cant send it to warranty.
Is that a soft or hard brick? Can I fix it?! Please say yes.
Please, Help me! I am waiting your answers.
(I'm so noob about the phone, please tell me with more informations)
Does this look like a hard brick to you?
(If you can't tell, the answer is no.)

Wait, what SBF did you use? This **** is important.
i think you can still unlock your bootloader through fastboot,
and then flash system image..
Boot into fastboot mode and use the fastboot OEM unlock code from your computer, please read all the instructions in the pudding thread before panicking

Lol! Don't panic, I just got out of the same situation a few hours earlier. Get your atrix into fast boot mode by pressing power and vol up buttons while placing the battery. Then proceed to unlocking your bootloader. Flash a boot image to get your atrix to boot into OS again, follow this http://www.android-advice.com/2012/flash-the-motorola-atrix-4g-back-to-stock-4-5-91-rom/ if you break your wifi like I did, just follow "Alaq's" Moto-Fastboot: Stock Restore. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1421522 or you can just flash the 2.3.6 from this https://sites.google.com/site/motosbf/atrix-sbf-files using rsd lite, open rsd lite, turn on your atrix and connect to your computer, you'll see rsd will still recognize your atrix, then flash the sbf file.

Eek. I'm not sure if you can solve this. If holding Power+Volume Down after the green light shines displays the word Fastboot, there might be hope.
Thanks

Exactly...I too tried to flash my phone, OS got corrupted and followed the same procedure to recover my phone, without any single data loss I got back my phone.
Main thing that we want to note while flashing the phone is Version of the flash file which we are trying to flash, if it is downgraded version then there is 80% of chance for OS corruption. so before flashing check the version.
It's a softbrick
get into fastboot using volume rocker keys.
use command line on windows
fastboot oem unlock
fastboot oem unlock ################
done.
Thanks,

I just tried unlocking the BL from my official AT&T gingerbread using this guide, I tried flashing the sbf file with RSD and it got stuck and now my phone stays at this with the difference that mine gives me the option to try fastboot, RSD mode, Android Recover and another pletora of options I'm not sure i want to name.
So being able to try RSD again, i tried flashing this and it was appearently working but when it tried to set the device on BP Pass through mode, the device would go back to the Infamous screen and it wouldn't move from there.
Am I screwed? Do i have option?
I'm going to try to flash the stock FW to see what happens

use the automatic unlock tool found here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1182871&highlight=automatic
do option 1 then option 3 (only use option 3 if on gingerbread) and you're good to go
Fastboot then use fastboot oem unlock command on PC. Reboot and it should work.

Noob Killed his phone
Hello, First time Poster here, please bare with me...
I really shouldn't of touched this.....
I have an Atrix w/ the newest updates to it, and attempted to unlock the phone. Everything started well, then it failed while writing to the device. Now, when I attempt to boot, I get the similar message of
SVF:405;1:2
Failed to boot 0x1000
With a 14 available options. I can get into fastboot, though I honestly am not sure what to do from there. I have the fastboot s/w downloaded, along with the gingerbread OS.
Did I just kill my phone?
I haven't still fixed mine because of the battery, I still have to find an external charger. Though, you can try the link from above.
Ok, I did the steps and now my phone is at a screen with the motorola logo with the dual core name on it and it has the word Unlocked on top of it.
What should i do?
the boot screen with motorola logo and unlock in corner will take awhile to load usually like 10 minutes but if it doesnt load for example i let mine sit for an hour and never loaded i just took the batter o and restart it and it rebooted and worked but use that as a last resort give it some time!
Omg i just fixed it!! Thx for the help!!

i think if the phone can be detected by PC, it should be a soft brick.. it is unfortunate my phone is booting loop and can not be read by PC, you're better than me..
Hello, I have a customer's Photon that is bricked beyond the grave. The story is this guy was trying to complete a software update and since then his phone bricked itself. I asked him if the phone was rooted and if he was flashing roms ect (I don't care obviously) and he repeatidly said no. So here is the deal, I would really appreciate any help.
Currently the phone can boot into fastboot mode with vol up+power.
If I hold JUST power I get
SVF: 108: 1: 2
Failed to boot 3
Starting RSD mode (never gets to starting RSD Protocol)
Now I can at least get RSD Lite to recognize the phone and begin the flashing with the SBF file ( I have tried them all btw) and the creating image process will get to 100% and then will fail at the re-enumeration process. This is with all SBF files from 154 to the latest 198_7.
I have tried multiple versions of RSD Lite, Reinstalled 64bit drivers and rebooted my PC, and have tried different USB ports. With everything I do the farthest I can go is to the re-enumeration process and RSD Lite Fails every time. I cannot even get into Stock recovery to perform a factory wipe either. The only key combos that work for me are Power only, or vol up + power. When I get into fastboot mode there is no option for anything like getting to recovery. And pressing power only gets me into a semi-working RSD mode.
I am completely stumped, I have successfully used RSD Lite in the past with no problems on multiple Motorola phones but cannot get this Photon to flash any SBF File. Please help!
This is what happens when you flash an Electrify ROM onto a Photon. There is no current solution, because you need a 2.3.5 ROM to fix it...and the only one is of course the US Cellular ROM.
Hi.please help me about idea: I Can flash file SBF (photon original) with model Electrify? I flashed but " Fail" That's why?

Maybe I got lucky, but I used the Electrify SBF, received the same error, and the phone still worked. The initial boot up when you flash the Electrify SBF is looooong, but will boot properly. Give it some time.
I just did this last night.

Yeah I figured it out. It took 6.5 hours since prior to this problem I had zero android knowledge as far as custom roms, flashing, rooting etc. I got my first android three weeks ago and when this happened I had to learn all this **** in about 5 hours. It was a stressful day.

Bricked stock MoPho. One day crashed and will no longer properly boot.
Cracked screen for a while now so warranty replacement not an option.
”Failed to boot 1” appears on M Dual Core screen on regular power attempt
“Failed to boot 1
PwrReason: PWR_KEY_PRESS
Starting Fastboot protocol support” appears on M Dual Core screen when hold Power and Volume Up
Screen briefly flashes and then goes black when hold Power and Volume Down
I have already attempted to flash stock Photon sbf file. Failed message after 99%
I have also attempted to flash stock Electrify sbf. Failed message right after process started.
Tried to flash on both regular power on and also on Power and Volume Up
Using RSD lite on windows7 64 bit.
Any ideas?
What was your build number?
Which photon sbf flashed?
Which electrify sbf flashed?
We need informations.
bull the battery out of the phone. plug phone into the pc then put the battery back in the phone. the phone should boot to the m logo and say failed to boot 1 it wont say rsd mode but its in rsd mode if you open rsd lite on the pc you will see the phone.

Ok, this looks like you're on the same boat with me and you need to unlock your bootloader, nothing more. If you want to use 4g, than there is no other way, only upgrading to the world of 2.3.5 sv2 locked bootloaders. But I suggest you, don't do that.
Thanks anyways guys.....still looks like I'm stuck with a worthless piece of equipment.
I don't think so, but you need to read in tegra sbf thread in development section, did you try to unlock?

Another one with this problem :S
I was trying some JB ROMs with Us kernel. After restoring my CID and flashing an ICS kernel, I tried to restore and nandroid and when it finished, I rebooted and the phone went to that boot failure screen.
I'm able to flash ICS via RSD, but on first reboot it goes back to that evil screen
And I don't understadn what does that "invalid cg: webtop" mean, as webtop is not used on ICS

Well, I'll try this guide from therazrguy posted here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2078021
If you guys want to go back to ICS, then
1. Flash the fastboot files using rsd lite
2. Reboot using bp tools
3. Root your device
Remember while rooting when the tool reboots your device press the vol- and vol at the same time when the phone switches off to enter in boot menu mode and reboot using bp tools mode, other wise u will see a black screen everytime u reboot.
4. Once done restore your cid using terminal emulator.
code: dd if=/sdcard/cid.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk1p18

This means exactly you lost your webtop partition. hsd pilot already posted the solution somewhere... so search in the forum or ask him

You may be right, but I think that the main problem is that my phone thinks he is a CDMA one, as it shows so when connected to RSD lite.
So I'm not sure if it will be related to webtop partition or is a "secondary" effect.
I'll search and try that solution anyway, thanks!

No, at the moment I really don't know what to do...
At least, things didn't get worse and I have a factory cable.
But don't know what to do now... Tried flashing with RSD Lite, from fastboot, tried to get into recovery with that "empty_radio" and no way.
I'm only waiting for someone to reupload the webtop files by hsd-pilot. If this doesn't work, I will start thinking that this is a true brick...

You're right. I only can boot into that "fastboot flash mode (flash failure)", that is the one the loads automatically on every boot, or I can power on using vol+ and vol- and select "ap fastboot mode" and the i boots in the usual fastboot screen.

i have a U.S cellular Motorola electrify running 2.3.5 ( which recently found out was unrom-able)
i got it rooted using one touch method--
Then not thinking -- ( ive rooted and installed roms on other phones never a Motorola) didn't know it needed a unlocked bootloader to function and get roms installed.
i knew i needed a clockworkmod on the phone and i read about the app that boots into clockworkmod bootstrap--apk
did that and it worked--
here is the problem..
didn't install the bootloader.. and tried installing Cyanogenmod10 unofficial rom from photon development forum
rebooted-- got Failed to Start2- starting rsd mode -- if i dont press anything
if i press down it says NV recovery but does nothing
if i press UP it goes into Starting usd recovery ( sorry not exact words not with my phone at the moment)
ive been reading guides.. downing the lock unlock from the bricked guide.. RSD lite would read the phone in the usd recovery
try flashing the offical us cellular back but get an error
wont show up in command prompt
not sure what to do.. please help its hard to function without a phone i hope its not fully bricked
Can you get into fast boot by pressing power and volume-down? If so, you just need to wipe everything using "fastboot -w" and rebooting into RSD mode to flash the uscc sbf.
When you flashed cm10, the kernel is not compatible with the bootloader you're on.
If anyone has the 2.3.5 electrify boot.img, you could probably flash it through fastboot if it'll let you
