I heard something a long time ago about the Samsung Galaxy Note will ship with Wireless Charing you don't have to use a plug to charge your phone.
Has anyone made this yet?
All phones can do wireless charing. They do it all the time (charing = to do work). Then there is wireless charring, which can be accomplished with any lighter or blowtorch.
As for wireless charging, I haven't seen it yet for the Note.
good one!!
Maybe I was thinking of Samsung Galaxy S3 then not the Note which is my bad so sorry.....
Samsung dd make a Wireless Charing Device for the note it will sell pretty fast

^ Lol that gif.
Btw, there is a thread somewhere in accessories (Internation or at&t, I don't remember) about having the palm touchstone charger to work with the note. IMO, it looks like a fairly easy mod if you know how to solder and the touchstone charger is only like $15 on ebay.

While the GS2 is a few mm smaller than the Infuse I am wondering if it will fit into the Infuse Media dock at least for charge & sync purpose in portrait mode. Looks like it should.
Wonder if anyone has tried?
Referring to this dock:

If you haven't yet purchased it, I would just wait till they have the Galaxy S II in stock.

Except that doesn't work in landscape mode or have audio out but it does look good for the price (except for the big ugly EVO logo on it).
Slides in the dock fine for charging (no case). Might fit with an ultra thin case.
I tested it out at the AT&T store yesterday. It charges the phone and everything, just a little slimmer. They had it there for $29, which was cheaper than the AGF case I got.
Has anyone tried the dock for the SGSII from Samsung yet? http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/ECR-D1D3BEGSTA
It seems like it'd be worth the $49.

Meh... Without integrated HDMI and USB, not really interested honestly
I mean think about it. How awesome would it be to have the dock connected to a USB keyboard and mouse, and an external monitor? Pretty darned awesome!

Anyone know what the contacts by the SIM slot are for?
Looks like only the Verizon version has these.
All other versions have the wireless charging contacts to the left of the battery,
but not these next to the SIM slot.
Inductive charging contact pins.
See video for more info (Hardware section at around 1:40).

2 sets of wireless charging contacts?
It's been confirmed that the ones to the left of the battery are for wireless charging here:
Be wierd to have one wireless charging system that everyone can use (except Japan), and another wireless charging system that only Verizon customers can use.

Yeah, I saw that video too. But it makes me wonder if he got those contacts' purpose mixed up with the other ones cause of the other video showing the wireless charing in operation.

Ah, I see. I've never used the tech before, so I'm honestly not sure myself. But I remember seeing that video and thought that's what it is for.
Thanks for the info.
I've not used the tech either, but I thought I might try it once the Samsung version becomes available (depending on price).
Might be for this type of accessory

Hello,
I've never used the stock charger but realising it may be the cause of some poor performance, I took it out of it's box, plug it and then.. Nothing happens?
Actually the charger was in my former i9100G box. But even if the G version had a different charger, it's still just an usb charger and something should happen! Can I open it to check the inside?
Sent from my GT-I9100
You could, hell, you can do whatever you want.
Now, what you should do is to check info on this regard, G variant is underclocked so it might need less juice from the power socket.
Low charge is good charge in my opinion but then again, what the hell do I know.
I'm pretty sure someone else already tried this, it has to be in the interbet sonewhere.
Sent from the little guy
I've checked again, even though the charger model is SAME, the usb connector looks sightly different...
It could also be a fake charger! Writing on it is not clear as the i9100 charger.
Serial starts by DK, other starts by RT. Left is i9100, right is i9100G.

So return it to the seller, get a refund, buy one from someone reputable (And don't make multiple threads about the same issue, you should know a lot better than that given how long you've been here :-/)
Multiple thread..? Curious where you see that! Actually I wanted to post on the I9100G global thread but couldn't find it. Now I did

Okay I have to admit that isn't worth the money.
Which one did you get though???
Sent from my D6503 using XDA Free mobile app
something like the first one.
but i really wonder WHY it does that!
I mean... i used the original Sony Wallcharger! 1.5A and just pluged it (with the sony cable) in the back of the charger!
Then the phone wen't out of battery and died... restartet after 5 minutes, and then i booted into the OS.
Thats the only reason i can imagine why it would charge so slowy. i mean.. i used exact that same wall charger via microUSB and it worked fast and fine!
i mean, how the hell would they limit the Ampere flowing trough the dock ? some included resistors?
If i have to much time i'll try and open it. but i could swear the cheapest way would be a simple (two...) from the microUSB port to the magnets. And this is chinaware! gotta be the cheapest way!
