Hey man thank you for letting us know. I've been waiting for this game forever. @$6.99 not too bad at all.
I have had issues playing some games on a tablet. Mainly because of the touch screen. Maybe use a bluetooth mouse? Would that work?
Data download is taking forever. Must be bogged down. It needs 1.7gb of space so make sure you have enough in your Prime. I'm almost maxed out from all these game's data.

Finally done downloading data after 1 hour 40 min. Graphics arent bad at all. Mass Effect has slight edge. Game play is pretty good just like nova 2. I do see lag though. Not as smooth as MC3. Overall not bad. Now time to go play.

I'm not sure about gamepad but I'm sure sixaxis with ps3 controller will work. Almost the same button config as MC3 so it should work. It actually kinda reminds me of MC3 since youre on earth but youre just in the future.

Ok got it back working. Had to go to settings then apps and cleared cache and data on the game. This next step might not be necessary but I renamed the game folder (/android/data/com.gameloft.ANMP.GloftN3HM) to something else then opened up the game. It tried to download data again but I cancelled after several bytes. Went back to game folder and deleted the newly created one and renamed the original back. Opened game again and it redownloaded about 10 kb more then the game started. Had to start all over but hasn't locked up yet. Maybe my first download this afternoon wasnt 100% complete and was causing my lock ups.

I have no idea why Gameloft doesn't leverage Google's free hosting for game resource files. I can't stand the way EA and Gameloft do things.

i just wasted 5,5€ on this game. FPS is so low its not even playable (way below 20fps by the looks of it). graphics looks good, but its hard to play like this. i was hoping that tegra3 would run it faster then this.

It's not the Tegra 3, it's the optimization of the game. It's not optimized at all for our processors..
as i know gameloft, we wont be seeing any optimization in long long long time
btw anyone noticed that there is no blur effect on tf prime version? it actually looks and runs better on SGSII... wth?!

Yup They don't support for very long that's for sure. I can't play NOVA2 because it doesn't support ICS, so I'm SOL on that one. But Nova 3 is working just fine for me.

Ya I noticed that too. I wanted to see how smooth the ipad version was and besides the blurr effect added to it the game is much smoother on the ipad. But we all know Gameloft is apple whores so ofcourse they're going to make their game more enhanced on ipad (referring to the blurr effect).
Its kind of a bummer though that we have tegra 3 device and although we get additional graphic enhancement on Tegra 3 optimized games yet we lose out on the ones that arent optimized for ours and suffer in performance. Id rather lose all the fancier graphics over better performance.

I'm sick of s-s-stuttery framerate on my Nexus One when playing Dungeon Defenders, and the game was practically made to showcase the Tegra 2. So, how does the Folio 100 deal with games in general, and Dungeon Defenders in particular, with or without a custom ROM (which I'm going to flash as soon as I unbox it, if I do end up buying the Folio)?
After CES2011 it will be doing fine, but most HD games out from gameloft are made for the snapdragon cpu, which is not 100% compatible with tegra2.
so the binaries compiles inside the games app's are not working and crash..
some older gameloft games and quite alot market games works fine..
like PocketLegends, but sadly not all the new gameloft updates..
facts, but maybe not good news for gamblers on folio.. but im sure gameloft will fix it when the new tegra2 tablets arrive.

Dungeon defenders works PERFECT on my folio (still foliomod 1.3)
No framedrops, no hangs, just perfect

No, no. Dungeon Defenders is pretty much born for the Tegra 2 (not made by Gameloft either) and it's mostly that I'm interested in--it uses Unreal Engine and all. If I want to play Gameloft's much uglier games, I can do it on my Nexus.

I havn't scaled anything up or down, I haven't even opened the settings menu. Just like you i actually was interested in the unreal engine. (i don't like the game so... )
The folio has a crappy '() lcd screen with terrible viewing angles. It is captative, so it responds as it should response, really good. Colors are good to, but the viewing angles...
It is really easy for me to advice you. If you don't care about the screen go and buy the folio, development is already going on and other tablet manufacturers will use the same chipset for now, so we won't miss any special software on the folio.
If you care about the screen and have a couple months patience, than wait and buy the LG/motorolla/acer/... tablet that will be presented on the ces Those will propably be 99% identic to the folio (in hardware)

totally agree, Folio is a good "starter" pack getting to know the hardware, but the actual LCD screen is really poor..i survive but i love my GalaxyS samoled, and really hate folio lcd but the rest is for sure great..

Aw, shame. Yeah, I do care about screens--it's part of what I love about my N1, whose AMOLED is a considerable step up from the LCD of yesteryear. Thanks for all the feedback!

probably a bit late, but here's a screenshot from the folio running dungeon defenders. graphics are pretty smooth, with framerates around 25-30.
Everyone here knows about netflix, but I noticed that many other apps and games are missing from the market when I search them on my Evo 3D too. Asphalt 5 is on there but not 6, Need for Speed Shift is missing as well, as well as nearly every game that is considered to have impressive visuals.
Is there any way I can see the apps that the market is hiding from me due to which device I'm browsing with?
Come to think of it, I know know, the phone just came out and its one of the first 3D phones, so there will (hopefully) be some software for it, but as of now there isn't even a single 3D app on the android market is there?

Correct to a point. Those are only gameloft 3D games, but nfs shift is ea and not in 3D so it would normally be on the market, and wouldn't be in the 3D games app.

Im not sure about need for speed but i bought the game when i had my og evo. I did show has a purchase game in the market. After the update the games works beautifully. 60fps with antialiansi. It runs 3x smoother than my og evo. This evo3d can do some great graphics. To bad that every 3d game has to render the image twice so they run kind of choppy because they are to tasking. My advice is to try and get the games made for the sensation and that thr 3d version of it. Is not really woth it

They are coming out, also check for games that support sensation as well. Asphalt 6 3d, myth defense, assassin's creed 3d, dungeon hunter 2, eternal legacy, field runners hd, guerrilla bob, gun bros, pocket legends, robo defense, samurai II, trial x, zenonia3, and etc... are all "hd" games that works just fine.
Need For Speed Shift Doesn't work, the game itself says its not supported.
I like Asphalt 6 3D better anyway.
it works now for the e3d. I just downloaded and installed it last yesterday, or maybe even saturday. Still has flaws though, while driving, the screen will go to sleep. So you have to tap the screen to keep that from happening.
I just did a search for Need for Speed on the market, strange, its not on there.
Not for me either. Looking for games on market is depressing. I've given up. I want dungeon hunter 2 3d. Not lame golf game and whatever else they've got. Dungeon defenders doesn't work. Guess we just have to wait. Honestly I think ill ditch EVO for photon. NVIDIA gaming app show a lot of great stuff. Way better then just gameloft and that's it.

Look at the reviews on market. Crap loads of 3d are randomly exiting the game. It's a known issue just like the sgs2 before they patched it earlier today. Patch doesn't fix EVO though.

Yes, I have the 3D and its the stock market app. The pic from earlier shows (iirc) the new market app, so both seem to have it.

This is a pointless thread. This is like me saying my Alienware M17x R3 laptop has amazing graphics and games are out of this world or heck my PS3 for that matter. I wouldnt buy a tablet for gaming I doubt many people do that being said I want a PS Vita but I am not interested in any of the current games I will wait for a 9-10 score out of 10 game.

Lol, I got a vita and a prime. Enjoy both for gaming and both serve their purposes. I love my prime for playing retro nes,snes & n64 games. Especially using the HDMI out. I love my prime!
I drove my car to work instead of riding my bike its much better at getting me there on time!

Exactly. I got Vita at launch and even though I love it, it is cannot replace Prime. Both have their respective pros and cons in regards to gaming.
Lol..he getting flamed left n right. I'm sure the vita is probably better since it is a "Dedicated" gaming system. If i had to choose between one or the other, I'd pick the prime all day. Its a way better value and runs circles around the fits based on all the different things it can do and its features. Plus I haven't seen one vita game yet that looks better than Shadowgun THD or Riptide THD. Plus Sony PS games coming to android anyways. The vita has developers dedicated to only making games. I'm sure once time passes we will also have games that look as good or better than the vita. Specs are similar with the prime being alot more powerful in alot of aspects. Prime is best of both worlds. Plus ill take the larger better quality display of prime over a small 5 in. Anyday. Vita Is a great device. Even considering getting one. But as i think about it more, I can get games just as good on the prime. ANDROID apps n games will sell alot more than vita games. Meaning these games will reach more users or gamers. Alot of people ditching console systems now in favor of mobile gaming on IOS or android.

Yeah, the VITA screen is awesome. They have zero light bleed because of the screen technology. And everything on mine worked as advertised out of the box, even Wifi and GPS on my 3g Model.
It is a great piece of hardware, but it is a dedicated gaming device. The Transformer Prime wears quite a few more hats.

UMvC3 is awesome on the Vita!! I can't believe I am playing it on a portable in all of it's glory. I just got time to sit down with Uncharted.........AMAZING! Wipeout 2048 is the best portable game graphics wise. The only problem I have is that everyone playing Vita online seem like Pro's...especially in UMvC3...lol.
I'll add you now, this badboy has insane multitasking capabilities. I hope Sony gets Kingdom Rush and Riptide on the Vita. Those are the only 2 games I miss. For gaming on the go, obviously the Vita owns. Sony is spending 50 million on the advertising campaign. I can't wait to get my TF700t w/dock to compliment the gap between my Vita and M18x.

My M18x w/2960XM and 580M SLI plays games better than all those consoles and tablets...lol....and my ALX w/990X and 580 SLI plays games better than my M18x..............this could go on forever. Lets keep it DTR/Portable....lol.

no gameoad support I believe. plus its not needed. the touch controls are great. anywhere you touch on left side of screen an on-screen analog stick will show. transparent. you use that to move. right side of screen you can use your finger to pan around the scene. or tap that side of screen to arm your weapon. then tap again to fire. its very simple and works great. I love that game. have it on my Ipad and now on my prime. still haven't bear it yet. game can get very hard and sure to scare you. best played with headphones on for the full fear and scare effects. plenty of times my woman heard me violating..lol it'll really make you jump..
I can't wait till Dark Meadows optimized for Tegra3 finally releases. they said Q2 in tegrazone.

That is the EXACT type of control scheme that works better on a gamepad. It works "well enough" on a touchscreen, but is by no means at all the better way of controlling. However, you did basically affirm that I will be able to use a touch profile with the game, so that makes me very excited!

You can buy a game that is compatible with any device you currently own. Once you have bought it it can be downloaded to any other devices you own, or may own in the future.

I picked up Dead Space last night and played it some and it looks like it going to be Great game. Quick question is there a way to stop at a point in the game and Save it there to resume later? Or does the game have certain points in game play that it Saves itself?

As you progress there are points where it'll save automatically. Another place where it saves is when you reach the limitless booth area to upgrade you Welsh n armour with nodes. Also the store to purchase new things at. You will see them if you haven't gotten that far yet.
Bought it since it was on sale, and while the controls are awesome, I really wish it was a port of Dead Space and not just a typical mobile game out of the franchise. I'm sure since Dead Space is a 7.5GB'ish download off Steam that it's sure as heck not gonna be as small a download as Dead Space Mobile, but hey, $10 more than the games usual price and I'd certainly have bought a reduced-graphics-quality port, and already own a copy of the PC version.
I also think the controls would be rather easier to use on my phone than my tablet :'(.

Server probably slammed due to sale. I would just try again later at night or tomorrow.
it crashes to homescreen for me, too, when it tries to DL files. Gee, I wish EA could afford better servers /s

Dead Space doesn't start on my prime, it crashes just after the EA logo during the loading screen. Anyone else got that issue?
[EDIT 1] : Going to Developer Options -> Force GPU rendering , fixed the problem.
The game is silky smooth now , with no lags or Hiccups anywhere.
Anyone facing the jerkiness can try that. :thumbsup:
Hi Guys
Yesterday I downloaded the game The Dark Knight rises from the play store.
So today,I fired it up.
As soon as the cut scene started, it was playing horribly. 10-15 fps at max. Totally unplayable.
So then , I cleared up the ram. Loaded up "All in one toolbox" and killed off every background process.
I fired up TDKR again , and it was little better this time , Around 15-20fps i Think, but still unplayable.
Really frustrating. And this is after I have frozen all unwanted junk.
What's the use of quad core, if it can't play a popular game like this??
And that's not all.
I want to task manager in between game to see how much Ram is it consuming.
It showed up 131mb ram. And after few seconds the game was Killed off.
WTF? And the launcher too. :crying::crying::crying::crying:
What kind of memory management is that??

But Android thought its better to kill of the latest Foreground process and the launcher , and let all these things alive.

It's more like: They released a game which is poorly optimized and need to serious work to flatten out bugs and performance issues, and only then will it play on the highest-end devices. Like always with Gameloft's new releases, they're packed with bugs and performance issues and the like.
1st off, Gameloft Games do suck in performance.
2nd off, Apps dont take advantage of all cores unless the app is coded to use them, they have to be threaded. And there are like 2 or 3 phones that are quadcore. So they arent gonna code their apps to use all cores until there are more phones.

Who said? Nexus running great here. Gameloft has the highest quality. Even sht iphone has locked 60fps. Don't blame Google. Blame Samsung. They screw up the mali drivers.

Yeah Gameloft sucks ... except both the Iphone and Galaxy nexus run the game just fine esp the Iphone 4s ..
I think the JB stock rom is at fault , it can't even run its own widget drawer smoothly .

Exynos is fine . optimizing the software has never been samsung's strong point however .
That's it. This is the last Exynos device I'll ever buy.

Neither can I. I have an iPod touch and OMG...it's so boring.
The OS is kinda bland and frustrating.
But at least all apps will run smoothly and it never ever lags.
If I'm running a heavy game and press Home button in iTouch, it immediately comes to home screen with nice animation.
GS3 would just take a second, the animation will chop and launcher would redraw. How fu8king frustrating.

Well iOS prioritizes the UI. Apps are frozen immediately when the home button is pressed, but as a result it breaks multitasking. Android has fully working multitasking, but the UI suffers. To compensate for this, Google made JB have vsync, tripple buffering and that UI processes are allowed to use more CPU power.
Today is the first day I regret buying this piece of **** crapsung phone and I now wish I had my Gnex again. At least it had super-damn-smooth fully working awesome JB with the sexy stock look and not the ugly upscaled over-the-top buggy stuttering bloatwiz.
If GS3 can run NOVA3 or Asphalt7 smoothly then why not TDKR? Read user review on play store and majority is appreciating the first two games. I believe its the game itself that needs improvements and with time gameloft will release updates that will solve the issues.
