I live in the UK and am considering changing my current bank account. I'm interested in hearing from anyone that’s had any experience in using a mobile banking application.
I figured, in looking for a new account – it would be a bonus if the bank provided a good Android app for mobile banking management. I would of thought it would be useful for checking things while out and about.
Are any of you aware of any UK banks that provide this? And if they do, are they any good?
I believe for example, RBS have one for the iPhone. I’ve no idea how useful/worth the time it is though.
Thanks.
What is the best (safest) way to do it security wise?
Through the browser? Through the banking app they have? or remote desktop?
I use browser n apps like pageonce or the corresponding app to bank. browser is secure. just make sure you see the padlock icon on browser URL.

Neither of these are the safest way to do online banking.
My bank requires additional secutity measures other than just providing login id and password, i.e. a second one time password that will be sent to your mobile phone for you to input each time you do a banking transaction.
agree with what the rest said:
use the app specifically released by the bank (the best I think)
most banks here in the UK are using two-factor authentication - so I am using the stock browser at the moment - but... this still leaves a door open for the man-in-the-middle attack, so just an extra precaution, i set my DNS to OpenDns.
additionally, I normally clear all before and after banking session all the cookies/form data/cache - i am not sure why i am doing this, but it does make me feel better
If the bank is worth a damn both the app they provide and their sites should be secure. Just do not use on an open wifi network as your communication can be intercepted before it's encrypted with ssl through say the webpage. In fact I personally would not log into anything with an open wifi network.
Mint works pretty well.
Does anyone know if it is possible to enable (only software wise) NFC on a non-NFC phone?
I would need this because I want to install an app, which needs NFC on the phone. I don't want to use it's NFC payment feature, only the other features for transferring money from the app.
Can anyone help with some ideas?
Thanks

NFC is a dedicated chip. Poco doesnt have it. It's impossible.
Hello,
I need a free Android emulator that has all security components required to install apps like Citrix Secure Hub or home banking services.
Can you suggest me one that is easy to install and configure?
Thank you,

Nox player and memu for windows pc. I use them both, pretty light and fast both
Sent from my LEX820 using Tapatalk
Thank you, I'm testing Memu right now.
By the way, can those emulators be really trusted? I don't mean to offend anyone, but I'm a little wary about feeding sensitive data to applications developed in China...
Best regards,

bet365 has released a location confirmation app on your phone. I need to use a fake location due to restrictions in my country, but the bet365 authenticator app sees developer mode enabled, so this simple method didn't work. I spent a few days but I was able to install magisk on my phone. GpsSetter(LSPosed-zygisk) does a great job of fake location, but bet365 authenticator detects active magisk. I've tried Shamiko and MagiskHidePropsConf but it doesn't work.
same problem. any solutions? Ready to pay if someone can reverse their app an get algorhytm of generating request when scan qr. Final goal is to generate requests without using app at all.
