[Q] question about movies - HTC EVO 3D

I'm watching a lot of movies on the go, but what annoys me is the two black stripes on top and bottom of picture. Is there a program that could get rid of that so the picture fills up the whole screen? I know you can adjust the size from the player's settings but that only zooms in and cuts away portion of the picture.

Download mx player from the market and that video player can stretch your video without cutting the corners off

Actually this is what I use to watch the movies but if I stretch the picture, well the player does it without keeping the aspect ratio everything is stretched out, and it looks funny, then if you hit the button one more time it goes to zoom, and although it returns original shapes it cuts away the corners.

is there a way where i can convert videos that will fill up the screen in full screen mode? I converted some video files to WMV but when it's in full screen mode, it doesnt cover up the whole screen. only about 3/4 of the screen is covered and centered in the middle.
well unless the video is widescreen and you rotate it
then it can never fit the whole screen unless it have the stretch the video leaving the people pretty tall and thin
to convert it you will prob need a video tool on your pc

[Q] Video Camera Background Effect

Anyone figured this out yet? My kids love the funny face effect but we can't seem to figure out the background effect. You choose one and it says to get out of view and put the Prime down. We've done that but when you pick the Prime back up to shoot the effect is only shown where the picture is dark or black. I don't get it. It's really no big deal but my kids love stuff like this.
Set up the prime where it can stand by itself (set it up where the background isn't moving). Then turn on the effect. Stay out of the view of the camera. Then go back into view after it displays the Image you chose on the screen and record yourself. Its not actively fun because you cant use it and see it at the same time. It acts as a green screen though. So its fun for music videos or little plays.
Edit:
You can also put it over your own videos in the pick your own video one so you could make a face to face with yourself video.
Also shadows will be interpreted as new objects and in turn not be "Green Screened" so pick an area where the is minimal shadows.
Thanks, I'll give that a try tonight.

[Q] "Videos" stock player bug?

Hey guys quick question for you.
I download youtube videos on my computer and load them up on the GNote and watch the clips using the stock player.
Sometimes when I select the next clip I want to watch, it would play a video that I captured using the GNote. Does this happen to anybody else or is it just me? Also, is there are way to default the screen orientation to landscape?
I could use MX Player or Doubletwist, but I like the stock player because you could lock the screen. This function is vital because I hold the phone with my thumb pressing the softkeys on the bottom.
As always, thanks.
What about flipping the phone around so your thumb is resting on the top of the phone, by the carrier logo? Then you don't have to lock anything. The area is just as wide as the area used by the buttons so there is plenty to hold on to. Just keep your thumb to the left of the logo and not to the right so you don't cover up the sensors.

It's just the settings on your TV.
You will need to choose a different aspect ratio on your TV settings
That's what i thought, but when i when in the image settings, i just saw things about color, brightness... I got a bravia...

I don't use Sony but there will be a settings for aspect ratio somewhere. Take your time and look for it.
There are many options on Samsung; full screen, crop, 16:9, 16:10, zoom etc

If you have had a thorough look through the image settings then it may just have it's own dedicated button on your remote.
I have a Panasonic Viera and I have a button on my remote which is called "16:9". This is the only way I can change aspect ratio.
Look on your TV or your remote for a dedicated aspect ratio button sometimes it's a square with an arrow in it. Obviously it's differnet for different models.
Either look in your manual, or google it.
Your TV will definitely have a way to change aspect ratio, you just have to find it.
I found the button, few choices but.none that makes it fit or even smaller...

Stretched landscape videos when viewing vertically

Viewing a video that was recorded in landscape while holding the phone vertically completely stretches the video to fit the screen instead of just displaying a small landscape video in the middle of the screen.
Any idea why it's doing this?
Its called stretch to fit. Tap bottom left corner and you can change the viewing mode.
I pretty much feel like a ass right now. Smh. Thanks
