NFC Task Launcher - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone using this with and S3? Any issues?
If not would anyone be willing to test? I could send some tags if needed.

I'm wanting to know this as well before I order some tags. It has the same NFC chip as the Galaxy Nexus & Nexus S, but I want to be sure it can write/edit tags by default.

You can, that's an Android API. There are some users already with the sgs 3 I'm just looking to pro actively find some bugs if they exist.

Any issues launching tags? Any fc's? There is an anr issue that's cropping up with some users that will hopefully be resolved in the next release.

Any sites that you recommend I order my tags from? I'm in the US.

I created a list some time back: http://www.jwksoftware.com/nfc-tags

I tried mine with xperia smart tags and worked fine with xperia smart tag app from the market, I guess it'll work with nfc task launcher with no problems

Mate It's garbage, i'm fairly sure its not usable on the SXS i read somewhere as it needs samsung specific libs/framework etc but seriously wait for jellybean's proper implementation to come in one form or another.

Currently, not even from xda devs.
But in future, yes for sure....
This feature would be so awesome on S3! This is the only feature that makes me thinking about buying note 2 =P
I wonder 1gb ram is enough to perform muti screen smoothly?

Well, you need to have NFC capable android device for it to work. But I do doubt about S-beam as it is Samsung proprietary, but the Android Beam feature in ICS and above may work.

As mentioned in GSMArena, NFC is mentioned as optional. So first of all you have to make sure it is an NFC enabled phone, so Android Beam found in AOSP ICS should work. In the case of S-Beam someone may have to port it to S2, for it to work maybe. So chances are less.

Note 2 on s3

Are there any developers out there that would be willing to make a galaxy note 2 Rom for s3 that has all the features and icons so pretty much looks like s3 before you turn it on and then when you turn it on its a note 2 if that make sence there are lots of people that would love this kind of Rom thanks
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Why would you want that?? All the important stuff has/is been/being ported....their is no need for a full rom as its virtually the same as ours....
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Because every time I try port the features they don't work

The features are in other roms in android development....like pop-up browser, the gallery etc....

In mine (omega EMB5) I have both - but Android beam is an sub-option under NFC, while S-Beam is an option at the same level in Settings as NFC.
I keep both "beams" stopped but NFC itself ON since that one does not seem to draw such a big amount of power (at least not in my configuration).
