isn't right, lucky patcher can remove only the ads, then you check apply to boot, so when you power on the phone you don't find the ads

Lucky Patcher does remove some adds but not for all apps. It only works on the green marked applications in the list when running Lucky Patcher.

I mean, when I create a modified apk is invalid.

Try AdFree

Just use Adfree.
It's the best app for removing annoying ads.
But you need to be rooted.

You shouldn't really remove ads from games, after all they still support the developers and help them make new apps! If you don't want ads you should buy the ad free versions or contact the developer so they make an ad free version.

This is true. Not everyone make apps just for fun and as a hobby. If you really want your adds to vanish just use your phone offline.

Jelly Bean and taskbar ads

Hello everyone.I'm looking for a consistent method to fully disabled the system area ads that many apps make use of and this at the end goes far beyond spam.
In ICS we could uninstall the adservice and ads were gone. Jb doesn't have this but you can disable individual notifications which is still not enough since the service still runs in memory.
I haven't managed to locate this service or to find any method to disable ads (except from notifications option) so, if someone finds a way, please share

Nope, that will only work for ads within the app. I have always been using it but taskbar ads use a different agent

That did not do the work.
says it can not detect anything, when you run it it loads up but does not find anything framework related to these ads.
for instance i always wanted to know how to remove them aswell but couldnt find a way very annoying they are they start up every time you reboot.
for instance a game called : CK Zombies installs its own ads service that runs in the background constantly called :GluNotificationService
Real annoying and no way to perminently remove that i have found yet.

Problem donation

Bug Hello, I had instal greenify beta 3 and buy the donation version, I have a Samsung S5 ( G900F) with Android 4.4.2,I had instal wsm tools, it is the xposed , when I want to enable experimental settings the application said me to buy the donation version who is installed...
I'm getting this too now... help! Not sure when it started happening, but definitely with the latest beta! Samsung Galaxy S4 with 4.4.2
---------- Post added at 08:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:44 PM ----------
@oasisfeng this is happening even though I purchased both Greenify and donation package from Google Play... a long time ago!
There is nothing wrong with beta3. It is working alright for me.
Check if you have Lucky Patcher.
If not, uncheck Greenify from Device Administrator and Xposed and uninstall both Greenify and donation pack.
Reboot. First install donation pack, then Greenify and enable in Device Administrator, Accessibility and Xposed and reboot.
It should work now.
it works with lucky patcher !
Damage to crack an application that I bought !
a quick update !
The problem is Lucky Patcher. Open it > tools > disable 2nd and 3rd options. Close it. Now Greenify will work fine with donation package

That's the solution thanks man !
No change to get donation working. I unchecked and uninstalled both for more then one times and after reboot, checked in xposed and reboot, after that starting greenify and it says "Thank you for donation...". In "About Greenify" it says "Thank you for your donation". But if I want to set experimental features, there is an issue "donation couldnt be verified check your connection or try later".
I have no lucky patcher and I tried definitely with (working) WLAN and mobile connection (all other Apps have access to internet)...
Have v2.5.beta4 (also on 2 other devices with no problems)...
Did you cut off the links of Playstore for IAP?
Paid apps check the payment status with Playstore every time the paid features are invoked. It seems that Greenify is not able to do that check in your case. It may be a problem with your Playstore if you had meddled with it before.
To cross check, try accessing the paid feature of any other app you have. If you get the same result, then you have a broken Playstore.

Yes, you were right. I had cut off IAP from PlayStore, cause my Launcher starts it all the time... :good:

Good to hear.
Instead of cutting off the link, try to greenify the Playstore ignoring its state so that it will run only when the screen is on.

hi, new to this thread -
ends up i had lucky patcher installed (backed up/restored from many old nandroids = also decided that it was time to pay the dev's BTW!) so removed it and was able to get my Donation Package working, to a certain point - don't have any widgets such as my "greenify now" button. i haven't messed with google play or such, any hints?
not sure what AIP is? Thought I was android literate but not sure now:

The dev has not replied to me concerning this so looking for help: BTW running HyperDrive RLS19, GS4, MK2, etc.
Lucky has been removed, rebooted, and will never be used again for now (not necessarily against it for trial use, but am against it for continued use - just my personal opinion, the same for pc use).
EDIT: yeah, I F'ed up. Searched for a shortcut instead of a widget and found the "hybernate now" button. Just happy I was able to fix the Experimental features issue... and in the long run only from your help/reading the thread. I just love xda.
thanks.

How to find out which app is putting ads on my lock screen

Lately, I've been seeing ads on my lock screen. And I almost always inadvertently hit a link when unlocking the phone. I haven't installed anything recently, so a fix is not as simple as changing the settings or uninstalling something recent. Is there any way to find out who is the source of these ads?
Battery savers will do it.
Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk
I fond it in ES File Explorer. A couple months ago, I saw this same problem on my Samsung S4, and after I uninstalled the ES App Locker the ads disappeared. Now to see the same thing from ES File Explorer is disappointing. It was a useful tool.
Looks like it was Purify. Somehow, the 'charging lock screen' setting was changed. Looks like another misbehavin' app for the trash heap.
I don't have any idea about how to find this app. But you can remove this ads;
Install AdAway. Activate the app and update your hosts file. Almost all ads on your apps are completely blocked by AdAway.

Just an FYI...
Refrences to Lucky Patcher is not allowed anywhere within the XDA Community.
Though, I am not personally against that app, the features of the app is frowned upon by the individuals who run XDA.
You probably didn't realize it as i was PM'd by an administrator when i was an XDA Noob explaining this.
Anyways, keep on rocking!

Debloat List for A2017U

I'm working on trying to make a custom ROM and I noticed that there is no complete debloat list for the Axon 7 that I could find. Honestly the bloat on this device really isn't that bad, most of the preloaded apps I actually use. Although I am learning about making custom ROMs and debloating is part of that learning, and I figure someone may find this useful. Now this is by now means a complete or thoroughly tested list. It will be it just isn't yet, so in the meantime feel free to make any comments that may help.
Without further adue, the list:
Bookmark Provider
Browser
Dropbox
Galaxy Wallpaper
Handing Paint
Holo Wallpaper
Noise Test
PhaseBeam Wallpaper
Themes (more files in "media/theme/themeinfo")
Touchpal (w/ Chat Pack, Cangjie Pack, Frencha Pack, Pinyin Pack, and Spanishus Pack)
Visualization Wallpapers
WAP Push Manager
Weshare
Google Apps
Calendar Sync
Chrome
Cloud Print
Contacts Sync
Docs
Gmail
Hangouts
Keep
Keyboard (Don't remove this)
Maps
Movies
Photos
Play Music
Sheets

Talkback
TTS (Don't remove this)
YouTube
ZTE Apps

MiFavor Video
Noise Field

Voice Print Service
System Update (ZDM)

Of course the google framework should be removable and I'm trying to remove it but it's giving me a lot of problems. Furthermore it is possible to remove Dolby Atmos, and thanks to lokissmile here's the explanation:
lokissmile said:
The Dolby apk's are in the /system/vendor/app folder
The files in the /system/framework/framework are dolby_ds1.jar and dolby_ds2.jar I keep them in my debloat for compatibly with sound mods that may use them but they should be save to remove if you are removing dolby and not using any mod that might require them.

There are a lot of ringtones and alarm sounds built in, they can be found at "media/audio". Clock Alert Tone is the really annoying alarm tone that you may want to keep.
Also it is possible to remove the built-in launcher if you replace with your own. I'm not sure how the process would work from within android, but if you're making a ROM there are 3 launcher folders in "system/priv-app" and 2 in "system/app". You will also find a folder "etc/custom_config/app/Launcher" that can be removed.
Another note, the messaging app and dialer can be removed but if you actually plan to use your phone you'll need to have a replacement for those. Personally I prefer to use Signal Private Messenger as my text messaging application.
After removing all apps on the list, replacing the launcher with Nova Launcher, and the messaging app with Signal I was able to reduce the amount of system data by ~1.2GB. There's a lot more I think I can get rid and I know the google framework is a sizable chunk, I'm just having a lot of problems with it.
Thanks to SuperR for a great Kitchen to work in, and thanks to lokissmile who's tennitive list on his HelsAx7.SubMix helped me start this list ( I also copied that first thank you from him too).
I also recall there being pre-installed apps for Dropbox and ZTERewards, but unlike the other apps they can be completely uninstalled from within the OS.
If you're going to remove "Toolbox" you need to remove "Calculator" "Plumb Line" "Protractor" "Level" as well. Those four are not usable if you do not have Toolbox installed.

basically anything but com.android.xxx and anything qualcomm related is safe to remove but if someone had a list of all packages on the phone I could skim through it and really tell you how much is removable.
For the google apps ZTE is required by Google to preinstall some of them for access to the Play Store and Google Play Services.

Uninstalling all apps on my list still allows you to have access to the play store. I do understand that ZTE had to include those apps for playstore certification, and I'm by no means complaining about the bloat. I just want to have a completely debloated ROM to use as a bass.

Oh my bad. I didn't read the part of you making a debloated ROM, I thought you were asking ZTE to remove the bloat. Sorry

In the settings make sure to uncheck the first box so it'll export the system apps. You can pm to me, I'll take your user apps out of the list (unless you want to) and give "safe to delete", "you might miss it" stuff, do not delete, etc. Most of the Qualcomm stuff it's difficult to discern and really I wouldn't want to get rid of those goodies because they're really to take advantage of the device. I also have a few question marks on some of the zte stuff but I guess you'll see once I can get a list back to you.
Other things that can be removed are sounds of course, but it's a matter of opinion and you sold at least leave one of each sound type. A user can create a folder on their storage drive with names of ringtones, alarms, or notifications and put audio in them and the Android media scanner will pick them up. Just an extra tip.
Also, personally I've simply made a script zip file which deletes stuff instead of making a whole ROM just to do the same thing.
Look for IHO poo remover on here. The links for the download might be broken by now, though.
---------- Post added at 09:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:48 PM ----------
If you want to do something even further you could make a Google spreadsheet and let people update it with further info.
Like columns for app name, package name, safe to delete, what it's for, etc.
I'm kind of an Android newbie, but still learning how to do all this stuff. I wanted to clean up / remove some of the junk that came with the phone.
Are these all apps that I could safely freeze/remove with TitaniumBackup?
I'm rooted, unlocked bootloader, with B15 and A2017U.
I use NovaLauncher for my launcher, Inbox for my email, so I don't want to have to keep their version of stuff.
Also there are some other things that came installed on my phone, like CamCard, TouchPal keyboard, or some other random apps I don't need/want.
Anyone have a zip you could flash to debloat stock rom?

Is there a way to disable Instagram ads?

So, as title says, is there a way to block ads on Instagram?
I think ads are tunnelled through own Instagram app since my modified hosts file wont block anything there. I only found fishy mods that does nothing against ads anyways. So after a lot of time wondering this i thought i would just ask it here...
