[mod] Turbo Prop - TouchPad General

I've tested this on my TP AOKP build, and seems to work great.. I'm curious to see who else can confirm its helping out and not just a placebo effect. It's built for he HTC Rezound but is generic enough to apply to other androids.

I've had a look at the zip and I'm by no means an expert it seems like it just adds some extras to the build.prop so yeah the tweaks work.
Ive installed the famous V6 supercharger script and its made a massive difference
The tweaks in the zip will certainly help out net based stuff

no you should be fine, and it will support it
I'm not sure if the 11.1 glitch kernel will work or not, but I'll test it anyway.
EDIT: Maybe it's just placebo, but I seem to be having occasional lag now that I've flashed this tweak.
EDIT2: Actually, forget my above comment, things seem to be working fine. I don't see much of an improvement, but then again, my phone was already running super smooth.
Runs.
Better or worse who knows, I cant tell.
To me its about the same speed but the data seems more stable.

[ROM](FINAL) SUPER Open Source Rom, Add Swype, 2.3.7 EGL tweak w/supsettingsV20

This is a port of the SuperOSR or super open source rom. It is developed by the super team. Here is there description quoted from their web page
8.6-AW SuperAosp Samsung Galaxy S
Notapor superatmel "June 10, 2011, 16:02
SuperAosp
Special thanks to the creator of the theme inexus from which I was inspired to give a graphic touch to the rom.
This rom (not a mod) has been developed entirely from the source of Google and very little of Cyanogen framework.
Thanks to Cyanogen and all his staff for the contributions received.
This rom I have installed three terminals, a free Poland, and two orange, one with a month and another one day, the three smoothl.
I used Atinm CM& rom to port it to our device.
I did not hellraise as that didn't work for this one, But I have ported this rom to another device so was aware that the CM7 files and SuperOSR files are very compatible.
I like to think that SuperOSR is a colorful and interactive CM7 that is easy to use. Instead of CM7 settings you have supsettingsV20
A LIL ABOUT ME
This is not my first rom, but I have only had the phone for one day before making Rom. I have modded and/or ported roms for the x10 the motorola bravo and now the thrill 3D. This rom is visually made to be caught up to mu thrill rom so i can update them around the same time. I am slowly getting used to Samsung files.
Thanks to all the other developers in the Infuse/sgs2 forums. My base file is stock gingerbread modding tricks from several developers. You can use most gingerbread kernels with this rom.
Must have cwm recovery to install. This install does not erase data but always remember to manually delete data if you are not coming from a CM7 based Rom... and backup your data and rom
HOW TO INSTALL
Prerequisite: You must be running a kernel with CWM.
1) Download SuperOSR ROM and place it on your SD card.
2) Power off your phone.
3) With the phone powered off, hold both volume buttons and the power button for about 10 seconds and then release all three when you see the Galaxy S II logo disappear and reappear. This should boot you into CWM.
4) Select "wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache, wipe advanced/dalvick".
5) Select "install zip from sdcard" and navigate to and select VISION_ROM
6) Once done click Reboot System Now
7) when first start you must pick lancer of choice as default or will lose home button.

Waiting, almost patiently for this.
Could someone enlighten us on SuperOSR? Did a little research and looks like the core project is out of Spain (most of the core documentation is in Spanish so I couldn't read it).
Looks like it's an offshoot of CM (sort of like MIUI)? Is that right?
UPDATE: I was able to gleem this info: "SuperOSR is a rom based off a mix of AOSP & CyanogenMod sources, with own modifications made by SuperTeam"
Yes.. I ported this on x10 days. Like a more interactive colorful cm7
I couldn't hellraise it but was able to blend kang cm7 with it to port it...

I installed v6 supercharger and haven't noticed much of a difference. However I'm not sure I installed it correctly. Any advice on how to make Ics passion on my vibrant faster. Btw oc'ing seems to fail for me on Ics
It should help with memory management but you have to change services.jar for supercharger to fully work. Full tutorial on supercharger thread.
CPU are different some phones don't like oc. Changing arm and interbal voltages may help.

You guys got supercharger v6 working for euphoria?
I supercharged 2.2 roms before with no problems, but all these extra steps for ICS is way over my head. I really want to get it working, but I know I'll mess something up.
Just supercharge as normal and you end up with 50%. You don't have to do the jars mod but you won't have hard to kill launcher but can bulletproof

You shouldn't use Compcache with the V6 supercharger because it interferes with the way V6 allocates memory as well as low level memory groupings. If you want some tips for improving the performance on your Droid let me know .

You are the man! Thank you so much!! I've got the Droid 1 and have been scouraging through this forum, looking for what I thought was the best. Being new the forums in general its tough to know what is already outdated, even if its only been a few months since the post.
Tell me what you think of this, I am running Steel Droid v11 with the V6, using the kernal that came with v11. As of today I'm 100% supercharged with my launcher at Bulletproof! It actually seems to be running pretty smooth, a few FC's once in a while but running the emissions script fixes those until reboot. Is that the latest and greatest as of now? I know that not a whole lot is happening on the Droid 1 so I want to have the best I can.
Thanks!

I don't know if you're still around, but I have CM7.2 and the deprimed kernel. Basically I'm replicating what you had on your OG Droid. I'm having problems finding some of the build.prop tweaks. Hey I'm still around I will be playing with my Droid 1 forever, good droids never die ! Getting to your question which build.prop tweaks are you having trouble finding and can't seem to locate? For the build.prop tweaks you either edit an already existing value for example if you wanted to change the Dalvik Virtual Machine heap size from 32 MB to 48 you would change the "dalvik.vm.heapsize=32m" property to "dalvik.vm.heapsize=48m", and so on with the other build.prop variables you want to change. If there are build.prop variables you want to add that aren't included add them to the end of the build.prop after leaving a blank line then the build.prop variables you want to add. Let me know if you have any more questions .

[TWEAK][APK] Seeder entropy generator to provide significant lag reduction

Original Post | CWM
Guys check this out
Best result on Android 4.+
Description
Hey everyone,
So, I was experiencing significant lag as we all do from time to time, and decided I was going to get to the bottom of it.
After tracing and debugging for hours, I discovered the source of 90% of Android's lag. In a word, entropy (or lack thereof).
Google's JVM, like Sun's, reads from /dev/random. For all random data. Yes, the /dev/random that uses a very limited entropy pool.
Random data is used for all kinds of stuff.. UUID generation, session keys, SSL.. when we run out of entropy, the process blocks. That manifests itself as lag. The process cannot continue until the kernel generates more high quality random data.
So, I cross-compiled rngd, and used it to feed /dev/urandom into /dev/random at 1 second intervals.
Result? I have never used an Android device this fast.
It is literally five times faster in many cases. Chrome, maps, and other heavy applications load in about 1/2 a second, and map tiles populate as fast as I can scroll. Task switching is instantaneous. You know how sometimes when you hit the home button, it takes 5-10 seconds for the home screen to repopulate? Yeah. Blocking on read of /dev/random. Problem solved. But don't take my word for it .. give it a shot!
Update!
I've built a very simple Android app that bundles the binary, and starts/stops the service (on boot if selected). I'll be adding more instrumentation, but for now, give it a shot! This APK does not modify /system in any way, so should be perfectly safe.
This is my first userspace Android app, so bear with me!
Note that this APK is actually compatible with all Android versions, and all (armel) devices. It's not at all specific to the Captivate Glide.

Well yeah lol, but this isn't just another build.prop entry but a full-blown hack. As the OP states, it technically lowers security and other randomized accuracy in favor of performance.
