I was looking for an app that shows the realtime internet bandwidth Upload/Download in the status bar. Does anybody know if there are any apps out there?
Unfortunately, I have seen this only in iphone, I have attached a screenshot that shows what I'm looking for.
DU meter
Check DU Meter - it is available at the Android market (I cannot post links)

Couldn't try it because I can't purchase in my region. But I still have to pull down the notification to see the status, which can't be the case while using some apps. Thank anyway

Thanks. That's useful for me also.
From this thread I got an idea: It would be great to have a stylish widget that shows your down/up traffic. There are dozens of clock/weather/news widgets but if there is one for bandwidth just let me know.
or you could try this app http://goo.gl/3Pbzq
Network Speed you need to scroll down the notifications though

Try using smart statusbar, it allows you to pull down the notification bar in all applications

dude u can use this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nqmobile.antivirus20&hl=en
it has got floating bandwidth status bar u can put anywhere on the screen
Thanks guys, you've been soooo helpful
I have tried all, Network meter proves to be the most relevant to what i was looking for .. yet, it's missing basic stuff like multiple options for traffic measure units (Mbits/Kbits/ .. etc) and then the floating bar to be available in the status bar.
Network Monitor Mini.
Light, accurate and free. Keeps the upload and download status on your screen, not the notification bar, so it works in full screen games and apps.

If you have root access to your device then you can use Xposed Mod http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
this will give your device various mods lie network meter in statusbar, transparent statusbar and navigation bar and many more..
Old thread but ...
I have been using network monitor mini pro for a long time
but if you want an app that really stick to status bar network speed indicator xposed module is much better.

Without having to flash a whole theme.. anyway to just get battery percentage mod on CM7?
I use "battery notifier" its only 55kb in size and requires no permissions, it gives u a little battery icon in notifications and u have the option to place the percent on that little icon I dont think you will be able to mod the actual icon or do much to to the status bar without a flash

Second theme down
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=945548
I already removed the 'theme manager' and all that business. There really isn't any flashable zip like the bar battery floating around? I have it set to always show on my lock screen, but locking and unlocking to see my battery percentage is getting old.... :-/
I figured it would be included in cmparts, but it wasn't. Was there a reason for that?

Really? That's very interesting...it's such a simple improvement. Who wouldn't want to know their battery percentage over just a shaded battery icon? It's practically useless. I can't tell the difference between 50 percent and 30 percent...it looks the same! lol

I'm with you there. I'm not much of a 'theme' guy. If I want something changed, I'll change it..but I'm not one to change everything just so I can have the battery percentage. I had it on the stock mysense rom, so I'll just wait for it to show up in cm7. ....sigh.....one can only hope....
so i know they are all over the place and i have found some that i am looking for but i need some help finding these apk's( if they got any)
Inverted Black clock
Removed "4G ! antenna is on" icon
a way to get a different font
transparent notification
flashlight in the notification quick settings
if there are some that come together thas even better... the ones with stars have higher precedence to me.
domo origato in advance.
The quick settings and pull down bar are in SystemUI.apk you'd just have to change stuff there for transparency and flashlight.
is there a post that explains that?
Why don't you just flash a ROM that has all that? Also, S_E_A_R_C_H for stuff.

1 - Any way to remove the vibration notification? I like to have vibrate on all the time, but I'd like to remove that icon.
2 - How do you set a full wallpaper? Even the ones Samsung gives you can only be snipped. I'm currently on Go Launcher, and those wallpapers are full sized. Anyone know how to make all images full size?
Thanks in advance.
you have to have the proper resolution for the wallpaper the samsung ones wont strech because of it.

I don't think I'd want to do that. I just want to get rid of unneeded, persistent icons. Especially since so many apps stick things in there just to prevent from closing.

Sorry but another guy having problem with notification item. Certain apps like GTA 3 will stay on my notification bar after exiting the game. I tried the clear button but it won't go away until I reboot my phone. Any alternate way to get rid of?
Errrrrrr sorry I couldn't resist my question when I saw notification question.
First off, hats off to Shoman for producing one of the BEST ROMs available. If you use his ROM make sure you thank him.
I recognize that his ROM is tailored to meet his personal preferences and I would not ask him to change that, so I tweaked a couple of things in the ROM to meet my personal preferences. I've been running this for most of this week and figured I would share with the community.
MOD: Power Menu Tweaks
Tweaked power menu to use the stock theme (colors)
Tweaked power menu to only include "Power Off", "Reboot", "Recovery", & "Download" options.
MOD: Status Bar Tweaks
Statusbar (wifi & radio) reverted back to v2 layout.
Tweaked status bar to use ICS theme color the the time.
Tweaked expanded status bar to include long date.
Tweaked expanded status bar to include "No notifications" text.
Tweaked expanded status bar to appear more ICS.
Removed the AT&T logo from the expanded status bar.
PACKAGES
There are 4 flashable packages available:
All Tweaks (includes both mods above)
Power Menu Tweaks
Status Bar Tweaks
Remove Tweaks
Downloads
HOW TO DOWNLOAD FROM GOOGLE DRIVE
1. Click on the zip file listed in the left pane. The right side will display the contents of the zip.
2. Click the "File" menu item below the ZIP file name and select download.
Just in case...

Thanks. I've actually been thinking about removing the "No notifications" text... basically reverting back to how Shoman has it. I'll probably post an update tomorrow evening.
Would you consider adding back the carrier information? It's a serious hindrance for me personally as I am continuously roaming (out of the country 340+ days/year). I need to see what network I'm connected to as I frequently have to switch as I move about.
Thanks!
EDIT: Alternatively, do you have any idea whether it would be a simple thing to edit the stock ShoStock 3.0.4 status bar files to remove the roaming "R" without changing anything else? That's really the only fix I need from 3.0.4 but I can't really bug Shoman about something so minor, although I'm guessing he will include it in the next update. I'd be eternally grateful if it's a super quick thing and you could send me a zip just with the R gone.
One word. Perfect. I love shos rom but his theming This is exa This is exactly what I've been looking for. Thank you thank you thank you.
Hope we'll see an update for 3.0.5.

Still some badass tweaks. My wife just ogt her a SGSII as a replacement for her Inspire and she hated the wifi and data icons. She would only stay with Shostock once I showed her this mod.

Exactly. I don't want to wade through my sea of icons to find my battery life. I also don't want to have a graphical battery icon and a percentage taking up two spots....
Pictures like that of the mobilesyrup review seem to show a newly released device that's [most likely] not rooted. Does the LTE SGS3 have some different ROM on it with that battery icon included?
