has anyone successfully printed from the lte to a wireless printer on your network? i have sent the pdf to printer and it is stuck at 3percent...i cant figure out a way to kill the document stuck in the queue.
I have not. Though, I have printed using cloudprint from the play store.
Allows you to print to any printer that you have access to via a computer that you're using google chrome with.

i tried today and it never printed directly from the phone and the feature remained "stuck" at 3%. i rebooted several times and with no success of cancelling the doc. the only way i was able to stop the queue was to manual go in and kill the feature i have tried the cloud print but i dont find it reliable...it prints at will.
when you use it how long does it take for you to actually get your doc printed?
thanks for the reply!
I have had no problem with cloud print. Prints within moments.

So since I've been using tablets since the xoom came out I always wanted to be able to send texts through my tablet but have them send with my phone's number. At first there was syncSMS, which was pretty good but required drop box to sync up messages. Then I started using Text tab which would pair the devices with BT. The app was ok, the interface wasnt that great but it did the job. I just bought Tablet Talk from the market and I have to say I LOVE this app, not only does it give you the option to connect via BT or Wifi(must be on same wifi network) but the interface is much better than text tab. Plus you can control your mobile phone. Meaning, if you want to call someone it has a dialer and when you dial from your tab it will place the call on your handset, you can even activate speakerphone on your mobile phone. Granted you need to have your phone close for the calling stuff and I am wondering if you connect the two via BT if you can actually use your tab to talk(I havent tested on BT yet) but I think it's still pretty neat. And when you get a call it displays the caller id number on your tab so no more having to pull the phone out of your pocket to see who's calling.
I have been using it over wifi since last night and havent even seen it eat much battery at all and I left it running all night. Anyway, I would HIGHLY recommend this app... It's the best Tab/Phone SMS app I've seen so far
ok so no audio routing when connected via BT, but it's still a pretty cool feature
When I get a call it shows me who is calling on my tab, and also rings on the tab. You can answer the call from the tab but it activates the handset, but as I said in the OP from the tab you can also activate the speakerphone on your phone
Try...
Tablet Talk
Routes calls and texts.

it routes the audio as well?
edit: My bad... that's the app I have.. lol I dont know why I thought it was Tablet Text. I dont see a way to route the audio though. It just activates the call on the phone
Is there a way for it to recognize the hotspot app on your phone as the wifi network? I have the hotspot on my phone enabled..but it still ask me to connect to a wifi network.
Have you tried the Sidecar app? It is available in the Play market.

hmm not sure.. I havent tried.. but why not just connect via bluetooth?
I haven't tested it extensively, but it definitely looks like a good app. I will be testing it more once I start making progress on installing the tablet in the car.
I bought it the other day and wished I did the trial first. It does work well, but my phone seems to disconnect often from Bluetooth. So then I have to manually turn the screen on and reconnect.
Guess I need to fool with the settings on my phone some more. It's very useful, except for this little quirk I'm having.

hmm that's odd. Email the dev, I emailed him a couple of questions and he replied pretty quickly. The first time within hours of my email, the 2nd one a day or two after.
It seems to be an ics issue on the Evo 3D leaks. All of them have this issue for me. That's why I think I need to play around in my wifi settings a bit. Thanks for the suggestion though

Does anyone out there with a new Evo have a Ford Sync radio? Does the text messaging work? Any problems setting up? It took a long time to get all the features working on my OG Evo and want to know if there are any issues before I upgrade.
Sent from my Sony Tablet S using Tapatalk 2
I have SYNC but I haven't had time to set it up yet. Did you ever get text messaging working with the OG?? I tried forever and never got it.
It does not work with text messaging. Everything else works fine. The text messaging I havn't seen work with any phone...even my wife's ....GULP...iPhone.
Text messaging worked with my EVO 3d with sync...haven't setup my EVO LTE yet for text.
In the bluetooth advanced options their was a setting that had to be checked with my EVO 3d.
Mines doesn't work but I think it's because I have the first version of Sync in my 2010 Taurus.

It works with MyFord Touch. I did read somewhere that Ford released an update for Sync a couple of months ago. Not sure if you can update that yourself or if the dealer needs to do this.

You know, you can download updates to Ford Sync online and load it into your car via USB (if it has a USB port). Updated my Fiesta that way.

Text messaging should work.. You have to go into Bluetooth on the phone, then advanced and turn on messaging access.
Next, go to your car and go into the SYNC options, find Advanced, and look for a Bluetooth MAP Profile option. Set this to on.
The Bluetooth MAP option might only be available in the newer sync versions, but you can check he www.syncmyride.com website for an upgrade to your cr.. Or call the dealer, they will do it for free.
I have it working with the OG Evo with CM7 and CM9, no sence roms seem to work

I havent tried text messages but streaming pandora, mp3, calls and voice commands all work in my 2012 Mustang GT. The range is great also. I've walked 40-50 feet away and still had connection.
text work if you enable map profile in sync settings and enable sms and email in bluetooth menu on phone.
I can't get it to work, my OG EVO works. Guess its time to root

2010 fusion here.
Do ya'll get something weird happening when you bluetooth connects where it automatically MUTES media volume? Does it on disconnect too. Damndest thing. My Evo3D started doing it too not too long ago.
I had to delete my profile and redo the pairing to fix that problem.
Got it to work, just need to make sure all options are selected before you pair the phone

I have been struggling with this for a while and finally got it working using your suggestion. I can't believe I never tried re-pairing it with all advanced options selected. I guess I had given up because I thought Bluetooth MAP services were required to make it work. I even considered trading in my EVO. When I downloaded my messages it only downloaded the last text msg and only the header. I am still playing with it but at least Sync recognized the phone as text capable.
It will only download new messages and not ones that you have read before getting in the car. I use it all the time when I'm driving

Text works for me too. Now I only wish song information would display via bluetooth streaming. I have the music on the phone and plays fine, but on the Sync displays, it only shows Unknown Artist and Unknown Song. Steering wheel controls work fine, so I know there is a 2-way dialogue happening. Anyone ever got this to work?
Downloaded the new update today (3.2.2) hoping for a fix, but no luck.
Ever get this working? Just got a brand new 2013 Ford Escape with MyFord Touch and everything works except receiving text messages. I can use the system to send a text message, but receiving it never is displayed or read from the system. Message Access is checked. And email to HTC says the Evo LTE doesn't support MAP, it also does not list MAP as one of the features on their Bluetooth feature page (it does for the EVO 3d).
For those with older gen 1 sync systems that didn't get the MAP profile update, this patch was merged in to CM10 a few days ago that looks like it might enable texting on the pre-MAP sync.
I have a Sprint 4G LTE phone that a user dropped and shattered the screen. Now the screen doesn't display anything. The user contacts and text messages need to be extracted from this phone
As a preface; its a stock phone and USB debugging is not enabled (tried ADB and can't enumerate). Tried DroidExplorer and cannot see the device either.
I've already grabbed the files from SD card
How do I go into the phone memory and grab other files?
is there any other way to look at the content on the phone?
Sprint support is ofcourse useless and they cannot provide any further support
any guidance is much appreciated

well first of all, i will ask are you certain the device is even turning itself on? if nothing is being displayed, how do you know it is powering up? could be more than a busted screen, basically....
I would say hook it up to your t.v via a mhl cable

I just got my new EVO LTE and still have my old EVO 4G. I've been doing some searching around for a good app to use on my old EVO in order to turn it into a security cam for at the house. Everything I've come across will only let you use it as such if your on the same network, I'd like to be able to access it away from the house. Also wouldn't mind being able to have it turn on only when I access it. Anybody have any good idea or thoughts? I've tried phido, ip webcam, droidcam, nothing allows me to use it away from the house.

Not sure exactly how much video u want, or if you want it realtime, but Cerberus anti theft can take a minute or 2 of video and email it to u.
You might be able to use tasker also to help trigger the events, (like auto answer of video calls).

This.
If you have a router, just forward a port and hit your home pc from where ever to monitor the cell phone.
Anyone know a good app that turns wifi on/off not based on location? So if I am connected at home and leave it turns off my wifi and then periodically checks to see if a known ssid is within range and reenables if one is found. I used to use one called Auto Wifi On off but don't see it in market anymore. I don't leave the location settings on and the couple I have tried that use that feature don't work to find my "home" location so never bothered to try them for long. Running Mean bean 3.6

You can do that with tasker...I've never tried it before, but I've seen examples where people have done it. From what I hear though, it's pretty hard on the battery and there's a fair amount of scripting to get it setup. A simpler solution would be to buy an NFC tag and use NFC task launcher to write a profile to it that disables wifi, enables mobile data, etc. Then you can just tap your phone to it when you leave the house. You can set it up as a toggle also, so it will do the opposite next time you tap it (when you come back in).
Tags are pretty cheap, and there's a bunch of other stuff you can do with them...one of my favorite features of this phone. Here's where I bought mine from:
http://tagsfordroid.com/store.html
8 bucks for 2 tags and a programmable keychain.
