Hello,
The problem seems to be calibration of the battery with the phone software.
After you root and install CWM, you can wipe battery stats. Doing that will erase all information of battery from the software and information will be made again as the cell discharges.
Other option is to root and get an application for battery calibration from the market. It also does the same thing as cwm.
Thanks,
Rick

i had 10% 'miscalibration', when charged to 100% and unplugged percents dropped suddenly in couple of minutes to 90%, and when battery was almost empty at 1% i could use phone for a good time playing 3dgames (just like it was 10% not 1%).
so when next time phone was about 50% battery i started cwm and wiped battery stats and then used it normally to full discharge and then full charge and now i have perfectly calibrated battery. when indicator says 1% i know it will be shutting down in a couple of minutes and when i have charged it to 100% it remains at 100% even for an hour if i leave phone in idle.
I got similar problem. I havent root before so i just make few fully charge and discharge and havent problem anymore. Just also try keep it loger on charger (even when you get 100%) i thing is realy dont need for most of this problem software tweak if you havent some defect mobile.

But the user just a floor down the quoted comment says it worked?
If not batterystats.bin, then there has to be some file from where the Android OS takes reference of to display the battery percentage? Or there's another possibility that the OS builds the percentage at real time, each time checking how much juice is left. Or is it something else? .
And this is a very common issue, as far as I know. How to get rid of it then? If wiping battery stats from CWM is not supposed to help?
Thanks,
Rick

Check your battery consumption, does your phone enter sleep mode or awake most of the time?
Any apps running itself on the background that maybe draining your juice, or maybe your 3G/Wifi/Bluetooth settings.
Its not about apps I thnk bro. Its a problem in the android OS Itself. That's why im looking forward to install a custom Rom. But I don't know a single little thing about how to install a custom Rom.

Go Here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1568792,
and check out the procedure to downgrade your firmware. Downgrade to .58 firmware. Then root using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1321582. So you will have .58 Firmware with Root Acess.
In case you want to update to .62 now, update over the air, using Update Companion.
Note: You might loose Warranty while following these steps

when you repairing your phone by suse
you taking the sim and memory card out before repair (service center way)
try this make sure its 100% battery
take sim and card out repair tthe phone
when done put sim and card back in
and test
if it still happens it could be a buggy firmware
lets us know how it goes matey

Have you tried battery calibrator included in v6 supercharger forum? Try to check it out though havent use it myself since I dont have problem with regards to battery. Also try to install/search battery drain app fr the market. You can monitor percentage drop per hour on ur phne using that. Mine had around 1.5-2% per hr on normal use and 0.5-0.8% on deep sleep mode. Average life of our battery is around 1.5day at normal and can reach 4days atleast when on idle(no activity). Readings fr here are taken not from airplane mode+stock rom and customized kernel.

For this kind of problems i recommand to you to:
- charge your battery until it's 100% fully charged
- remove the battery and wait its 100% charged
- then reboot in CWM and wipe battery stats and reboot, and unplug the phone.
its is depend on ure KErnel
.no need to wipe batterystats...i hAve facing more worst bttry clbrtion prob for a month..batterystats dun do anything with ur battery or else..its just a stat that tell u what app has eat ur batt juice..wiping batterystats can't calibrate ur batt..trust me..ur phone will calibrated itself
..
1.use u phone normally..
2.fully drain the battery until it shut itself..turning on back until it cannot be switch on..(completly drain)
3.open ur phone back rear cover.plug in ur charger..i recommend charge ur phone without turning it on(offline chrging).just wait until it fully charge.(green)
4.turn on ur phone..use it normally..if the prob still stick..do it again.
give me an updAte..and i give u another method..just keep in mind.android calibrate the battery itself..its been 2 month finding this solid fix and cause..i have more worst prob..u cAn check out my post..

Hello, I managed to install the actual CM6 on my X10i(flashed to .58), but now I have the battery drain Problem... lost 20% in 40 minutes... :S
Flashed it actually down to .54, doesn't look much better...
yes, I did read this advice:

, but here's my problem... I have no plan, how to reinstall the OS, google and Forum search did not help... tried SEUS, tells me, I have the actual software and does nothing more...
so, I would be really thankfull, if someone could post a noob-friendly tutorial for this...
When you connect to SEUS, once it detects the phone, it will notify you about your current OS and it will also give you the option to reinstall the OS, which will result in the loss of all your apps. You will also lose root. So you'll have to do that again.
But before you do anything, give the ROM some time to settle down. Many people on wolf's ROM have observed better battery life after its been allowed to discharge a couple of times.
It has also been said that the .58 basebrand could have possible quick battery drain.
Had this issue too, the only way I found to resolve it was to start from scratch; i.e. back up, re-flash from seus, root and so on. Works a treat, though it's a pain...

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't is just easier to go to xrecovery, factory reset, wipe all stats and caches and reinstall the ROM. Is there any advantage to reflashing 2.1 first?
Tried just re-flash, no joy; still high battery drainage. I've found that in a few roms, if you re-flash the same one you get issues...!

yeah, debranded to .54 yesterday, first seemed to be the same, but now, 7 hours without recharge, 59% left, listened a bit to music, did some installations and some short calls in this time... so, it's close to the unmodified performance and not critical anymore... gues, with the cracked bootloader we will get an update soon, with no more problems like this
My battery is fine and I used. 54 BASEBAND. I SUGGEST FLASHING THAY BASEBAND ON. And you should have no problems. I have had my phone off charge for 6 hours now and I have been on the phone, listened to music, watched a few video's and been on XDA app and my battery has only dropped 31% so mine is fine. Hope it works and if not PM me and I will see what I can do

Xrecovery
I flashed the stock rom, rooted an everything else. When I try to boot into Xrecovery, I can't. I tried reinstalling Xrecovery, but it wouldn't take. Anybody have any ideas? I want to put Wolf's rom back on my phone, but I am stuck in stock 2.1 right now.

you will have to manually place those xrecovery files in the respective folders using root explorer. Thats the only way to make it work.
Take them from the SD card and put them in system/bin?
Edit: I got it now. Thanks for your help!
What busybox is installed on your phone. Is it v1.8 or higher if not you need to install that again using busybox installer if that fails then you will need to do what the last post says. Hope this helps.

It could be that you have a similar chipset that my x10 came with.
these are usually defunct and should have the mother board swapped by SE.
Trust me when they sold the x10 alot of damaged motherboards made it on the market.
Pathetic battery life or restarts are symptoms of these crappy boards.
Just wanted to ask...i read that wolfbreak rom battery life will get better if u use it for a couple of days..i wanted to ask do we still to do the wipe battery stat in xrec and discharge and charge the phone a couple of time or just let the system running...i ussualy charge my phone at night witout switching the phone off..is this ok..previously on 4.5 rom,the battery was great...
well,.. I actually just let the system run and I still have great battery life...but usually it's best to discharge the battery a couple of times...
Try wiping battery stats

already wipe the battery stats a couple of time...well..i just need to wait a couple of days and see how its work...now i try to discharge and charge the battery...
today,i charged my phone for 5 hours after discharging the battery to 1% last night...then,after plug out the cable,i turn on the phone and my phone fully charge..then,i wipe the batt stat using xrec and restart my phone...after restarting,my battery indicate 1%....why is this happening...try to wipe again, the same thing happen...then,i decided to recharge while the phone is on..after 20 minutes of charging,my battery rise to 79%..what does this mean?
You mean discharge and recharge fully a few times....
Hello,
I am new to SGA and didn't find anything in this forum about this "bug" in froyo 2.2.1 stock rom. The battery status is very inaccurate it goes down from 50% to 40% in less then 10 minutes without any use at all, or from 70% to 90% after 2-3 minutes of charging .
Is there any way to fix this problem without changing rom ?
Thanks.

Have u flash your rom before? If not, maybe u should just try rooting and calibrate your battery..
The battery doesn't drop normally. You will see percentage jumps, I have had 12% jumps sometimes. You'll see the settings does not even include battery status and percentage while other phones will have it. This is one major dislike I have for ace, otherwise I love the phone.
And no you cannot solve this if you're on stock rom. Flashing another rom won't help too if it was based of stock firmware.

hey,
I've a problem: When the battery of my X10 is under 20%, the phone shuts down automatically. When I start the phone again, it works till the next shut down. (this can take 5 minutes or 2 hours. Its different)
When I use the phone without turning it in standby, I can use it till the battery complete empty.
Is anything defect, or is it normal?
rom: WB V6 on stock kernel, but with stock rom, it was the same.
sorry for my language, I'm from germany
greeting, Tobi
Have u used battery monitor widget to get that it always shutting down at 20% , mine does it at 40% . Mines fine if im using it but if its in standby . . . Shutdown ... I then switch it on and says I got 20-35 battery and phone charges very fast back up to 100 . I think my battery is buggered which is what I think is wrong with yours. I could recommending a temp fix of freezing it battery overnight then charging for like 8 hours . Sometimes helps ..

You could try flashing another rom on a ftf file with flashtool.. but try to charge phone when its off.let me know.

yes I mean battery level. I've only flashed wb roms. Bevore, I only used stock se rom, so I must have the stock kernel. In settings is written: 2.6.29-00054-g5f01537 SEMCU .........
Do you mean only charge when phone is off could be the solution? I will try it...

yes I used a widget, so I saw the battery level. 20% was an example, I remember I had the problem between 20% and 30%, too! But the most time its when battery is under 20%
What do you mean with temp fix of freezing it?
I think I had the problem since I've the phone. So you think my battery is defect?
So you also had this Problem with the SE rom? If not, try to wipe the battery stats with xrecovery before flashing a new rom
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
I definitely heard this issue on old roms so make sure you flash the latest patches updates for that rom and follow well the installation procedure(factory reset, wiping cache, dalvik, bat stats)
If after charging the phone (offline) it does not charge, try to flash a ftf firmware with flashtool.
I have this too on all Roms but it starts at 35 and keeps doing it until 0, bad calibrated battery i think. Had this on 2.1 once and it was gone without me doing anything, weird Battery.

Yes I had the problem with stock SE rom too.
I already tried battery stats with xrec, but same problem.
I've also the newest updates for my rom ( wolf v6). Do you think I should try it with another kernel? Now I have stock.
Or I flash my rom & kernel again..
and can someone say me how to calibrate my battery correctly?
thanks

Keep your phone locked for sometime, maybe half an hour, don't use your phone.. Then check the Battery history details and see if the phone's awake even when the screen's off.
Problem with all ICS ROMs.
Restart after charging via wall charger, then it doesn't happen.

No, it is not the kernel. It is a bug in the ROM, that hasn't been found or fixed yet. Restarting resets certain phone data.

Restarting does the deal. I restart my phone every morning anyway, to clean up the memory/CPU, so phone will be faster.
It dosent happen with stock extended kernel..earlier it happened to me when I switched to krsh kernel aftet that I flashed extended kernel and and install custom rom like rs lite. With wipe data and format and this bug dissapeared..then it never came back
Hope it helps

In my experience so far concerning battery life, the kernel plays a huge role.
Stock kernel is a big drainer. Rage kernel is very good with battery life, as is KRsH kernel.
Flash a custom kernel, and set CPU governor to smartassv2, svagedzen or brazilianwax. Those 3 are in my experience the best.

No, it is not the kernel. It is a bug in the ROM, that hasn't been found or fixed yet. Restarting resets certain phone data.

Thought so.. that it was related to the Kernel.. I'm on extended stock kernel now and the battery life isn't as bad as stock ICS. Although I really haven't kept track of the exact battery life on this kernel, but it's certainly better than Stock ICS.

I've had similar problems when my usb port got burnt, and battery indicator constantly kept showing 'charging' icon, even thought cable was unplugged. Apparently some process/service (related to USB connectivity) prevented OS to go to sleep, and that kept draining the battery... Thanks to warranty, phone got fixed, and since i havent experienced any battery drain. Last time i checked, i got up to 3 days without recharging the battery
