The GS3 comes with gorilla glass right ? So is it necessary to use a screen protector with it ? Does anyone not use a screen protector on their GS3 ?
when using screen protector, the screen responsibility decreased right?
so it's up to you to add screen protector or not.
Responsiveness decrease. Looks worse. BUT seriously Gorilla is not perfect, had already 3 phones with it and after few months always had small lines on the screen!

I have. Looks pretty good, but is disgusting in sunlight. I wonder if it's even more reflective than just the screen itself....
don;t buy that one, no more beautiful screen
try cheaper screen protector from ebay or amazon
Hi does the sony logo in z ultra is baked on the anti shatter sheet just like xperia z had? I am planning to remove the sheet. Thanks

Your Phone. If you live in a free word, what you do is up to you.
Can you tell me one good reason why you plan to remove it?
Have you damaged it already? Do you hate the Sony Logo that much?
Other than the above two, there are no sensible reasons which I am aware of...
Some say even with screen protector on top of anti-shatter sheet, it is too sensitive.
I have both, it is perfect.
You can put 2 screen protectors, and it would still work...
I'm not a big fan of the logo thing. I like a clean glass front like on the Nexus devices or the IPhone.
But I might in this case use the film until it scratch up then remove it just because It's there on the glass when I buy the phone.
And yes OP from what I heard the logo is printed on the film, not the glass
I also read that if you remove the anti shatter film, it will void your warranty.. I put a screen guard on top of the anti shatter film and it seems to work great and feels responsive..

Hi i would like to ask if do we need to put a screen protector on our XZU?

Personally I would use the device like it is until it scratches up. Then remove the shatter free sheet and buy something else to put on there.
I don't like the idea of making a sandwich with multiple screen protectors like others do.
Personally I putted a screen protector and I do not have any sensibility problem. Better like to keep the anti shatter screen, a bit more protection for low price without inconvenient is a plus. Better like to scratch a cheap screen protection and replace it than scratch the anti shatter and have hard time to remove it (loose guarantee at the same time)

I completely agree. I actually cut up a Nexus 7 screen protector and put it over the Shatterproof sheet. There are definitely NO sensitivity problems with doing this. I have some sunglasses with metal temple tips. I have tried using that as a stylus and I can touch the screen as soft as possible where it feels like I'm not even touching the screen...and it still picks that up even with absolutely no problem.
That is to say: Yes. I think a screen protector is necessary for this phone. The shatterproof sheet is FUSED to the glass. It's very difficult to remove. It's basically part of the screen. That makes this a screen that scratches VERY easy, and as noted above it's much easier to replace a $2 screen protector than the shaterproof sheet or the entire screen for that matter.
It would be best to get a glass screen protector, that will give the best protection & feel like nothing is there, although I haven't seen any for this phone yet.
I agree with you guys 100%, I purchased my screen protectors(full body-front/back) from Xtreme -search them on ebay relatively cheap but very good materials used and applied them over the anti-shatter. Device is extremely responsive still and have the peace of mind of extra protection
i agree 100% with you guys! , now i feel stupid not installing any screen protection.. now its has 2 hairline scratches each about 5mm long just from wiping the screen with microfiber cloth because of these damn fingerprints!!! ... aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh

Yes it will get lte I'm using mine on T-Mobile right now.
It also has the shatter proof glass cover installed. I put a front cover and tampered glass on the back of mine.

It has B2 and B4 HSPA and LTE.
Be aware the anti-shattering coating is EXTREMELY scratch prone.

Anti-shatter coating isn't a thing. The Ultra's screen consists of:
1. Glass (Dragontrail, which is very thin but more flexible than GorillaGlass)
2. Anti-shatter film/plastic screen protector on the glass
3. Oleophobic coating on the screen protector
The plastic film is easily scratched, not the glass itself, and the oleophobic (anti-smudge coating) coating will also wear off after some time, but that depends heavily on usage and pure luck. I swapped the display in mine since it was defect, and the coating on the first screen disappeared quite fast, while the one I'm using now has been a lot tougher.
You can remove the screen protector, but you'll have to either live without oleophobic coating, or you can buy and apply it yourself. This is something that can be bought on Amazon and so on.
I'm not directing this whole post towards you personally, but to people in general
I personally have a screen protector installed presicly because people have said that it scratches easy. Personally I don't like the screen protector, since the one I have kind of sparkles. A glass protector would probably be the best choice, you won't lose much of the quality.
Hi there,
i found conflicting statements about the existing of screen protection. Some say it has Gorilla Glas same say it has not.
So whats the deal ? How sensitive is the screen of the Le Max 2 ? Any tempered glass screen protector necessary ?
Real world experience would be nice.
I will not give you advice since I always use tempered glass and even none of the cheapest

i never used tempered glass on my phones with Gorilla Glas protection.... was absolutely not necessary.
Thats the reason i asked
There is no official info on that... I couldn't take a risk so i put a tempered glass on.

the price of this phone is really attractive but there are some points that disturb me ... missing gorilla glas is one of them.
Lack of custom roms is also one point ....
I was about 10 days without screen protection. No scratches or so, but i couldn't take a risk.
You have EUI based roms, i really don't like them and you have CM based roms... I use Mokee official and i am super satisfied.

I think it's gorilla glass or dragontrail. I don't use a screen protector and it hasn't scratched at all. And it has that slightly plastic feel of gorilla glass rather than the cold hardness of pure unprotected glass.

Think I've had this phone about two months now. I used a tempered glass for a week or so, but it cracked on the corner so I took it off.
Thanks for letting me know about this, I do hate using screen protectors on my cellphone, I rather like using my le max 2 without anything on the screen, it feels better.
I will tell you how it is going after a week or two.

Please report this to GSMArena. So people don't get confused anymore.
The screen of my leeco le max 2 is just amazing, I dropped it from 2 mts (by mistake of course) and the screen directly crashed the floor with the screen, and result without any scratch and the screen wasn't even cracked, I have had it since 15 days ago without any kind of protection (case nor screen protector) and it's like new, whether the screen is gorila glass or not it is actually really resistant
I have used my phone for 2 weeks, and I don't know how or why, it has a line on the screen, I mean not in the software screen, in the hardware itself like if it was damaged with something... Can this happen with Gorilla Glass?
