Blue S 3 real COLOUR ??? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Could someone who owns a blue s3 please make a photo to show me once and for all which colour it really has now?
There are a lot of rumours that colour is kind of grey now (i would love it) with kind of blue frame (would not like it) and kind of violet Home button (would hate it).
THX in advance

No, its pebble blue...

In all the videos the S3 looks black. I got to hold a blue one in my hands and it looks like a dark but at the same time light shade of blue. This is as accurate as it gets.

I love this crome-blue shinny finish of the S3...the image shows it very well...

Check this out - Might be a new version of the S3
http://www.engadget.com/2012/06/04/galaxy-s-iii-new-color/

It's going to be one of those finishes that will look different depending on how the light hits it. Blue - grey - purple, it will al hit shades of all those hues.

Everything is kinda Blue

OK guys just got my vibrant, yay. But everything has a blue tint to it. Even things that I know are white have a blue tint. Anyone else have the effect and can I stop it. Thanks.

Honestly i dont notice the blue tint. Maybe its because Im parrially colorblind lol.

Even the home page to Google has a little blue in it. I'm going to compare this phone to a phone in a tmo tomorrow.

It's a product of the amoled technology. The blue in the pixels wears out at a much faster rate than the others so they add extra blue as a way to counter act that. It should go away with time.

there is some bleeding yes but that would have to be modified by whoever will make custom kernels
I notice this too, I think its just because of the similar color of led and face color. I'm sure its not as noticeable on the carbon blue. Slight side effect of such a great color.

Yea, did not have that issue with my blue one. I swapped it out for the white one yesterday.
I was jealous of my girlfriends white Note. Just turned the lights off. Issue fixed for now.

If you think that's bad you should see the white skyrocket. Now that was bright. Gnote is no where near as bright as the skyrocket. I think the skyrocket uses some kind of LED lighting which if you can get pass how bright it is, it looks a lot better.

I actually noticed them in the AT&T store. I figured it was a Samsung issue. I just turned off the lights. Don't really need them anyways.
This is a problem? Really??? Not trying to be an A-hole but I didn't notice it at all. The Beast needs bright lights! lol

LOL.. On some phones it's kinda overkill.. Just a stray bright light in the corner of your eye when you're looking at the screen.

Any complaints about the white S3 ?

ok,so I decided to get an S3 after a long confusion between it and the gnex but I'm still not sure which color should I get.I've seen both colors in reality and surprisingly, they both look much better in real life than in pics.I like both but I want to get the white 1 for a change since I never had a white phone.I'm just wondering if anyone with a white S3 got any problems with it like color fading/scratches on the brushed metal sides/button light or notification-LED bleeding into the screen or any other problems.
IDK about the white since i dont have one, but im sure as heck no one complains about the blue : D
Yeah, it isn't blue....
Seriously though, I own both colours. There is no noticeable difference in how they work, its just the colour... Get your preference...
There are many colours to choose now.

I got the white because I can't wait for anything, wasn't that keen to start with but now I'm really happy with it. I think it looks a quite classy now. I think I even prefer it over the blue... sorry blue fans

Just to be clear so there is no confusion for the OP. The "bleeding" is not into the screen its self but into where its white around the screen. And like Coreym said, it adds to the phone IMO, makes the whole white bezel glow. Not a problem for me.

OK,it seems that there aren't any problems with it except the button bleed(which doesn't bleed into the screen) but I can just disable the lights,or keep it cuz I might like it Thanks all, can't wait to get my hands on it
I bought the white yesterday. I'm loving it (except for the massive battery drain, it's the same as mi iPhone 3G).
Didn't like the blue colour, so went for the white. It's gorgeous.

You can under display - led duration
(On omega ROM anyway)

No real problems at all with the white, and I think the blue with the curved edges do make it look a little too cheap for my liking, especially on the back cover.

I disabled the lights too, every 3 seconds they went off... very annoying.
I have blue, my partner has white. Personally the white one looks cheaper with the back light of the soft buttons shining outside of the button stencil, but it sure as hell is sexy as fook.

Yep there is a topic on it in general section I think. "ink marks" or something. Personally I think it is not a major problem. I have 2 or 3 tiny spots but most of the time we don't use the phone in a pitch black environment, nor are we looking at a pure black screen (how often do you spend in the homescreen?). It would however be an issue if it was noticable during movies, games etc, where the viewing experience is paramount

Yes true, it would be an issue if it was visible while watching movies and such.. but question is how long should this ink spot last compare to the other parts of the screen?
What does this ink indicate?
Yes I have them and it annoys me. And I don't understand why people defend it and say it's okay, we've all paid a lot of money for these phones how is it okay or acceptable to have black dots all over the screen? Yes it's only under very specific conditions but that's not the point, it is extremely annoying watching movies when they fade to black, when in the app launcher under dark conditions. And it's not just 1 or 2 small dots it's like someone broke a black pen and flicked it all over the screen.
It's just the way how the amoled is made. Every amoled has it. Don't worry. U won't notice that after while

I've only had the phone a few days now so I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt since everything I've read is saying you get used to it but...... It's there..... There are dots on the screen every time there's black, how do you get used to that? I understand every AMOLED screen has it but don't you think that if it's that big a problem then the screens aren't ready for prime time and need to improved? I've found myself using white everywhere when black is what saves battery on an AMOLED screen and black looks good on an AMOLED screen but I can't stand the dots.

Dead pixel?

I've noticed on my screen when my screen shows black that I have like a dark little line on my scree about half a cm long and about a mm thick. Is this a dead pixel? When I do the colour dead pixel test it's fine but soon as it goes black it's quite visible.

Are you talking about the ones visible in dark environments with low brightness? Kinda like stains? If yes, that's normal
