Galaxy S Player 5.0 int. doesnt work. - Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0, 5.0

Hi. I'm new in android, so I want your help. Please.
So, I was playing MC3 (Modern Combat 3) on my SGP 5.0 and BAAAM!!! It just freezed. Waited about 2 mins till' shuted it with power button. Ok, it shuted down, but when I tried to turn it on this m'fu... didn't response to ANYTHING! Tried to wait 5 mins while holding power button, tried to enter download mode, but NOTHING (._.') . So is it hard bricked or soft bricked and USB jig will help me? Thanks for ur answers.

Do you have recovery instaled to factory reset it..or if you dont try this...connect it to usb with all drivers install ..try to turn it on and in command prompt and type "fastboot -w" so if it can send command it will factory reset it.

Try Adam Outler's resurrection tool. It's in one of the last dev pages. If you can get into Download mode, you should be able to use Odin or Heimdall to flash the appropriate files to your galaxy player. Be sure to use the int. files. Doing otherwise could be bad.

*BEEP* Guys, I SGP doesn't not respond to ANYTHING... ITS DEAD. It can't go "download mode", it can't be connected to PC via usb or other bull**** because PC doesn't see it. All I have for now is just a piece of plastic box with touchscreen

Bricked Vibrant

Hi everyone, i need ur help please. I have a t-mobile vibrant (sgh-t959). I tried the CM on it. After installing the su kernel, it bricked. Now it keeps rebooting with the samsung galaxy s gt-I9000 screen (the vibrant screen no longer comes up). I can't even get to download mode by pressing vol up + vol down + pwr buttons. Please help me. I m kinda desperate ...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=836815&page=6
Although I didn't have the exact same problem, I had a very similar problem. The above link will give you more details about the problem I was having and how I solved it (thanks to click1's suggestion).
I could not get into download mode no matter what sequence of keys I pressed and my phone hanged on the "samsung vibrant" screen. IF your phone is detected by Odin or the computer when you plug it in (doesn't have to be in download mode and your computer doesn't have to be able to show you the usb drives - just as long as there is a confirmation that a usb was connected is enough), then Android SDK will help you force the phone into download mode.
If this doesn't work, your next bet is to physically make a JIG for it:
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=819551
From what I have read, this last one physically forces the phone to go into download mode by using the 5th pin on the MicroUSB key.
I know how you feel - I just got my fixed last night and my problem seemed very unique, I wish I could offer more help but I hope these will work for you.
Thank you very much. It finally came back to life. Feel so much better now!
downnload mode, I hold both volume buttons in and connect the usb and it I get into download mode everytime

No problem, I'm glad that solved your problem. I'll see if I can put this solution on the Noob guide so others can see it easily before they resort to making a JIG.

the newer vibrants are hardware locked so you can't get into download mode that way. This is why you have to use the SDK to do it.

Does this mean if the sdk will not recognize that the device is connected then i have to make this JIG Thing? because my phone is stuck at the connect phone to pc screen.

Yes, make it or buy one. I know who sells them for a VERY reasonable price. If you're interested Pm me for more info.
okay found a solution for now, my issue was related to ROM manager with the SD card, kept getting wrong MD5 Sum!! Really pissed me off about this since I was running through ODIN correctly,
Solution...
Updated the rom with Eugene froyo!! This brought me out of boot looping and now I have a rom on my phone so I can go back to the basics of flashing I hope, I am going to give it a try to see what happens

No...being the noob that I am, I'm constantly finding new ways to brick my phone. So tonight, I bricked it with the phone to PC screen. ADB can't detect it and neither can odin. This is FIXABLE, I tried the method here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=771247
Method 3 worked for me. Even if you have a hardware locked phone, I think there is a method around this which involves taking the battery out and putting it back in but I don't remember where I read this in the forums....I know I did read it though, you have to search to find it. Try these before you resort to making the JIG.

Brick? Help please!

Possibly i did the most stupid thing in my life.
I accidentaly started to odinflash a p1000 firmware on my s2 i recognized it at the do not turn off sign no process has been done nothing has been flashed i pulled off the cable. And the download mode was still on. I wanted to restart download mode so i used the 3 button combo. The screen went blank and didnt turned on again.
The reason i tried to flash this **** cause i work with phobes and i handle loads of firmware. What can i do? Its not my phone tbh .
Please any idea?

Get a usb jig and try that if you can't get into download mode normally.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA
If you can't get into download mode the usual way, jig is maybe a 5% chance of working (I'm probably being generous). JTAG repair - cheaper option or Samsung service center/authorised repairer - probably more expensive option unless they don't notice it's been messed with thru some miracle.
Definitely try a jig tho & while you're waiting for the jig to arrive you might as well put it on charge overnight & leave it alone, then try getting into download mode the usual way again.
if your phone gets detected on system? if so try the following adb command va commandline
"adb reboot download".
Thanks i hope obe of the methods will work. I tought jig is 100% percent stuff you serious i have 5% chane that it will work?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
Did you try hooking your phone up to your PC & trying some ADB commands as Bala suggested ?
If you get absolutely no signs of life from the phone at all, it's unlikely the jig will work. But you might as well try one.
when i plug the usb i hear no sound from my pc and i dont know if the phone is turned on or off cause its just blank screen.
in the device manager there is no new device.
i have efs backup
thats all
I think playing around with ADB is going to be a bit difficult to be honest (you'll need to find an ADB tutorial; search for one if you still want to try), so order & jig/wait for it to arrive.
If it doesn't work, either get it JTAG'd or send it in to Samsung.

1.Remove battery reinsert battery and use combo key for download mode(try to download mode of P1000 or try to download mod of Galaxy S2. don't care black screen)
2.connect usb phone and pc
3.see odin if ID com connected(yellow) you can flash Galaxy S2 rom
no nothing helps
you know when u plug something to yout computouer
you her a little "ding" sound
i dont hear that
how is the usb jig is working anyway?
i think i messed up big this time.
if i plug it in to usb the comp dosnt recognizes it but the phone is getting hot aroundd the camera.
only after 10 minutes of plugged in time.
still no idea ?
the service guy will come to us at wednessday soi just ask him to restore bootloader with jig? or what?
Just wondered if you have tried to boot the phone into recovery mode
Pressing and holding the volume up + home + power
Guess you probably have but its not mentioned anywhere so just a thought becasue you can do a factory reset from there if the phone will boot into it.
nothing helps, tomorrow is the day , i hope we can send it back to samsung to repair it ... or the usb jig thats my last hope.
thanks for the answers.
else i have to pay for a 300 euro phone that i have never used ... /cry

[HELP REQUEST] Rooted I9300 stuck in CWM 5.8.4.0

I had problems with my rooted S3 (International) earlier today, and that's why I thought that flashing a lower version of CWM may fix my problems. However, flashing CWM 5.8.4.0 actually made things worse.
I am currently stuck and cannot navigate out of CWM. Pressing Power or Home don't do/select anything, and browsing the menu is next to impossible, too (menu disappers).
Phone is not recognized by adb, it does not show in Windows Explorer either. Got a "failed to install" when I connected it.
When I try "adb devices", I only get "list of devices attached" without the phone showing.
Whenever I reboot [after bettery pull], I get back into CWM again.
CWM does not react to button presses as it should; doesn't go anywhere no matter which keys/buttons I press.
Battery pull doesn't do anything; neither does Power+Volume up or down
Looks like I am screwed... am I?
Anyone has an idea how I can get out of this and back to either CM9, or install a newer version of CWM (over the obviously dysfunctional version 5.8.4.0)?
Thanks!
flashed touch recovery?
No, it's not 'Touch'... I wish it were that simple...

[SOLVED] I9300 stuck in CWM > Back in ODIN mode!
Geeez... That was a close one!
Apparently, and in order to get into ODIN (Download) mode on the S3/I9300, one has to press & hold...
1.) Volume down
2.) Home button
3.) Power
Once I did that, my S3 (I9300) booted into ODIN Mode. [ Big sigh of relief!!! ]
I thought it was just Volume Down + Power... but apparently I was wrong. Guess that happens if you don't use Odin for flashing all the time.
Can't wait to get home and flash a proper recovery, so I can get my phone back into work mode. It sucks not having a working phone, trust me on that... ;-)
Thanks for your input, guys!

[Q] Is my phone bricked? Or do I still have a chance?

Plz Help if you can,
I have rooted my Verizon Note 2 and unlocked the boot loader and installed mean-bean - it worked awesome and should have stayed with it but everything went so well I wanted to try another ROM. The new ROM failed so I went back to mean-bean by selecting the backup I made on my sd card before I tried another ROM. My phone stuck on the "Samsung Note 2" boot up screen and never moved after mins. I did the "power + volume down + Power" and I get a warning asking me to press the volume up key to download a custom ROM or the volume down key to cancel. When I press the volume down button I get stuck at the Samsung note 2 screen, if I press volume up I get stuck at the downloading screen. When I connect the phone to my computer I can hear a ding in windows 7 64bit but am unable to see the device. I have read some of the forums and have downloaded a stock rom as suggested by several of them and oden 3.07. Oden does not show a com port as the posts suggest and my computer does not see the device. The forums that deal with not seeing your device says to download and install the latest usb drivers. I have re-downloaded the latest Samsung usb drivers and rebooted my computer. The computer still just makes a noise when i plug my phone in but does not see it in oden or in the computer. I have read so many forums and other peeps seem to still see their phone in oden. Maybe my phone is now trashed do I still have a chance or is it done. can anyone help a noob plz?
Thanks in advance.
Quick notes:
1: phone only boots to samsung note 2 screen
2: Phone will only go to download mode when I try to go to recovery
3: can hear ding on my computer when I connect but can't find see device
4: Oden does not see device

If you're not rooted you might want to take it in to be looked at.. If you don't want to do that..We can Odin a one-click onto it and get you back up.. From there you could root or put a custom ROM of you're liking on it.. But first if I was you I would drain the power all the way off it..( tape the power button down or use rubber bands ) for a few days.. Then plug it in..if the charging animation comes up then..let it charge..when it gets above 60 or so percent..you can try toturn it on.. If that doesn't work and you don't want to go the Odin route hit me back and we can try a factory reset.. I'll walk you through it.. Let me now you're decision...

Did you have usb plugged in when you tried to enter download mode?
If so, try without usb.

OK..I'm back home... .. So you have the device unplugged.. Then hold down the power button and volume down button( closest to power button ) at the same time...( hold for a min ).. If it starts showing the Samsung animation keep holding until a screen comes up with a box like object on the left and an android on the right..I think its an android on the right..Might be something else, but there will be just two things ( choices on the screen )...If you get this far.. I'll walk you through a factory reset..Or we might just wipe cache first and see if it boots.. Then a factory reset..

Put it on the wall charger and see if the charging animation comes up....if it does...let it charge.. I think we can get it into recovery or download mode if not recovery....if we get to recovery... You will probably have to do a factory reset, but I want you to tell me what options you have in recovery.. been a while since I seen stock recovery..can't remember ..We'll proceed from there..if the charging animation doesn't come up..let it charge anyway... I need to see where it stands so I can help you proceed correctly.......Just looked at stock recovery..we will have to do a factory reset...
@Gil81
If you need any missing files I can set up a dropbox (which I was thinking of doing anyway)...I have boot images, recovery images, system dumps from early releases, nvflash, boatloader and all the rest. Think the battery drain looks the only option for him at moment.

Ok so i get nothing on screen when i tried to power it up or boot in download mode. after a 1:30 charge time.
i let it charge for 5 hours and it didn't change anything.
I opened the tab and unpluged the battery press the power button for a few seconds and plug it back. Didn't change anything.
Is there something else i should try?
Thank you

Hi guys,
I'm have a GT-P7510 that won't power up. usually when the battery died i just had to press power button for 10 -15 sec and it boot up. But now, nothing. except when plug in a computer
the tab was shown as apx device in device manager.
i installed the apx driver and it is now shown as NVIDIA USB Boot-recovery driver for Mobile devices
I search for a fix but i didn't find any yet.
You guys have any fix for me?
thank you

Since you state that it powers up into apx mode and can't seem to get it to do anything else. I'm afraid you're in a situation I encountered over a year ago. I was unable to find anything to help while only in apx mode. I ended up sending it in for repair. The battery drain method has work for some and I used to point people to the post. It seems that most people having issues similar to yours were not getting any results from it recently.
Hopefully someone does have something that will help you get back out of apx mode.
I wish you the best of luck.

What do you mean ( opened the tab )...I got ya..had to re-read the thread..Sorry..but I'm helping 4 people in two different threads... .. I think the power drain might be you're only solution at this point...if you have already tried that by pulling the battery..then youre going to have to take it in I think...Sorry I couldn't be more helpful...let me now what ya think...
