i have st15i with SI 1255-8757 (iran) from what i saw in XMP update, ICS wont be available for iran in the first release and im sure im not patient enough to wait for that and will force update my phone to some other region.
now my question is will i be able to add support for persian/arabic lang? i dont care about the menu, just need to be able to read and write persian & support for right-to-left (RTL) langs. can someone give me a tutorial?

hey all
after a lot of searching i was using the Arabic fix which was only contain a file called libskia.so,and that was OK but have a problem when u use numbers or when u write part of the text in English and the other part in Arabic,
but now i just found out in a Persian forum this file which i uploaded and try it on trip miui 1.5.6 and its really great,it fix the whole bugs,but there is just a little problem in the end of the line the last character is missing sometimes (depends on the line long ) but any way it much better
but still no support in the original browser and Gmail,but am still searching ,for me am using Mozilla firefox and it serves me well for Arabic browsing

It's said clearly in the title (language - arabic/persian support in MIUI 2.2.1) which means only for 2.2.1 ROMS ;-)

I tried different CDA and updated my phone several times but no can't get arabic Rom language
and as we know a lot of si didn't receive update yet
So i need of every on that updated his phone to official 4.0.4 and has arabic Language , share his CDA (in build.prop) cause i get sick of trynig.....!
I need help and please share information

so its the official Lww ICS firmware for middle east & north africa,
- Arabic and Persian Display
- ftf file
- its the official so its not prerooted
installation:
download the both files
1- WT19i_4.1.B.0.431_MENA.zip.001
2- WT19i_4.1.B.0.431_MENA.zip.002
join them with hjsplit "download from Here "
unzip and u have ur ftf file ready to flash via flashtool.
for the official MENA GB ROM u can find it here [Firmware] WT19i - 4.0.2.A.0.62 (1254-1848) .ftf -Arabic and Persian Display

It is official stock 4.1.B.0.431 firmware, just with other languages, everything else is the same.

as Someguyfromhell said, its the official Lww ROM , the Middle East North Africa version.
the only difference it has is the Arabic and Persian Display languages.

Just to let you know, all that is needed, is someone, that can "type" what is on the keyboard and people to test the final keyboard layout.
With this, I hope that Arabic will get more support by custom ROMs.

Arabic ROM ?
ICS Supports arabic but for websites ,not for "Menu"'s or Apps or stuff. Officially you can just see arabic websites perfectly and/or have an Arabic Keyboard.
Though there is an app that will change the whole system language,i think its called "Select language and locale" (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.softwaredesign.SelectLanguage&hl=en) but its a paid app so it depends on you.

Its an officail Rom. So it should have all languages just like other official ones

In the first that's what i thought, but i flashed the Xperia P LT22 6.2.A.0.400 World Generic JB on xperia p phone
And i couldn't find arabic language in it so that's why i am asking
So if you had this rom on your phone please tell me if there any arabic العربية language ?!

My appolosizes. You are right. Even this rom doesnt have arabic language.
Guys will I lose root access if I flash this official update??
Actually I want to unroot my device and relock my boot loader as I have to give it back to Sony...

yes. its stock firmware, always unrooted. make sure you also flash the kernel from the ftf file.
Any difference between this and the european? Maybe on battery? Cause with the Euro I'm getting serious battery drain! Please some help?
Oh I think almost the same. I m experiencing no drain. I wiped all data+apps while flashing. using sliding kernel 8.3 . Feeling like butter and no battery drain for me.
