Ok guys i need help here
I tried different CDA and updated my phone several times but no can't get arabic Rom language
and as we know a lot of si didn't receive update yet
So i need of every on that updated his phone to official 4.0.4 and has arabic Language , share his CDA (in build.prop) cause i get sick of trynig.....!
I need help and please share information

Havnt got update yet.... dont know why sony is taking too much time for us to give update.... i want also some thing like this u are searching for...

Maybe to reduce pressure on their server
or they sort update by important countries (sales important)

This thread as of now is outdated. Binary has posted a tool to upgrade to 2.1 Nordic. Follow this thread only if you want to update to a UK firmware (1.6) and wait for 2.1 or get lucky as like some people.
Read carefully : IF THIS DOESN'T"T WORK FOR YOU , ITS BECAUSE YOU"RE DOING IT WRONG. DON'T SPAM THE THREAD WITH - "Its not working , you're misleading people " comments. IF it doesn't work for you ask help in a manner that people dont think you're an ass.( some ppl learned that lesson ). THIS is strictly for Indian mini's running 1.A.0.1.8 firmware with 1.6 . Good luck
UPDATE : This should work for all 1.0.A.8 firmware...not tested though!! Get your own build.prop for those who're not from India , or you can take risk and try this... no risk for Indian Mini's..
Getting fast to the topic without much delay!
Its been conformed that Indian mini's will get 2.1 only by November mid. I'm posting this tutorial because i successfully edited the build.prop to debrand the mini ( Thanks to the new method discovered - credits to the OP )
The debranding is to UK generic , which is said to receive the update very soon.
Things you need
1. x10mini with firmware 1.0.A.8
2. Root
3. Root Explorer ( search market )
4. PC companion s/w
Procedure-
Backup your build.prop from /system
Download the attached build.prop and move it to /system using root explorer. ( You have to put the attached file on the memory card obviously )
Without restarting , connect to PC companion and Repair ( Factory reset+repair )
Tadaa - You're new firmware will be 1.2.A.174 , update with SEUS and get 2.1

my phone is already with that fw version and wont update to 2.1... so what you are doing here isnt a 2.1 update tutorial, its just a generic uk flashing
I have updated with build.prop of nordic version, seems nice.

In Kerala anything from UK is considered one step above. Even 1.6 UK feels like 2.1 Indian

I dont have digital camera but a samsung corby.. i did the exact steps and i got the 2.1 notification and updated... pics attached...dont know why it doesnt work for you guys
In the pics you can see the current date , network provider (airtel) ...just to confirm its not fake..

please clear the contents of the db folder in the seus installation directory and try...
remember to give ur phone 2 restarts after changing the default.prop.

i have st15i with SI 1255-8757 (iran) from what i saw in XMP update, ICS wont be available for iran in the first release and im sure im not patient enough to wait for that and will force update my phone to some other region.
now my question is will i be able to add support for persian/arabic lang? i dont care about the menu, just need to be able to read and write persian & support for right-to-left (RTL) langs. can someone give me a tutorial?

Arabic ROM ?
ICS Supports arabic but for websites ,not for "Menu"'s or Apps or stuff. Officially you can just see arabic websites perfectly and/or have an Arabic Keyboard.
Though there is an app that will change the whole system language,i think its called "Select language and locale" (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.softwaredesign.SelectLanguage&hl=en) but its a paid app so it depends on you.

2- Rooting voids warranty. Don't do it unless you know what you are doing.
3- Arabic is not available in Android 4.0.4 as well.
First of all welcome to the community, greetings from Israel
Bear in mind that Rooting is not hard but can be dangerous.. If you root you can flash custom ROMs/Kernels/mods and so on (if you don't know what those are you can find the definitions by googling it)..
Hope you'll be able to get along ;p

U can't off the light bar. There no options to switch it off.
And one more thing, use Sony PC companion (pc software from Sony) and install it on ur pc, use it to update ur xperia U to android 4.0.4, latest firmware.

Its an officail Rom. So it should have all languages just like other official ones

In the first that's what i thought, but i flashed the Xperia P LT22 6.2.A.0.400 World Generic JB on xperia p phone
And i couldn't find arabic language in it so that's why i am asking
So if you had this rom on your phone please tell me if there any arabic العربية language ?!

My appolosizes. You are right. Even this rom doesnt have arabic language.
Guys will I lose root access if I flash this official update??

yes. its stock firmware, always unrooted. make sure you also flash the kernel from the ftf file.
Any difference between this and the european? Maybe on battery? Cause with the Euro I'm getting serious battery drain! Please some help?
Oh I think almost the same. I m experiencing no drain. I wiped all data+apps while flashing. using sliding kernel 8.3 . Feeling like butter and no battery drain for me.
