I have a HTC Evo 3D that has been flashed to Boost Mobile from Sprint, the donor phone was a Sanyo Incognito. Everything seems to work sms, mms, internet( really slow like 56k),android market, and phone. But what I have noticed is that when I go to update the software, PRL, or any type of system update it seem to bring up error 67 (data call failure). How can I resolve this problem that is bothering my device.
Probably won't work cuz ur not on sprint. Root ur phone and change everything yourself.

Umm that's like never going to work because your on Boost.

Hey All, I'm new to these threads, but I do lurk around and read most posts. I'm having an odd issue with my phones for the past 3 months and no one knows how to fix it so far. I have an EVO 3D phone and I gave my old EVO 4G to my wife so we are on a family plan. So, about 3 months ago we suddenly started to have an issue where if someone calls my phone (EVO 3D) it rings on both mine and my wife's EVO 4G phone. If someone texts my phone it also goes to both phones. My wife cannot call me from her EVO 4G to my EVO 3D phone. When she dials me she hears a automatic message to enter my V/M password. I've been trying to get this resolved with Sprint for the past 3 months and all I get is run around and hang ups. I got to the point where I know I need to speak to a technical manager over at Sprint, but I can never get one on the line. Also, both of my phones are not rooted. I did a factory reset on my wife's EVO 4G, but that did not help. I don't want to reset my EVO 3D as it will bee too much of a pain to restore all my apps and settings/Data.
So, has anyone ever had an issue like this before and if so what steps did you take to resolve it?
I appreciate any help I can get as this is quite annoying and pretty serious as my wife can't reach me by calling me directly, she can only text me and even then it does not always go through.

Find a corporate store and take both phones with you and explain to them. With the phones in hand, they should be able to fix it. Or it could be a google voice issue if you set that up.
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
Thanks for moving the post in the right forum, I wasn't sure where to post it originally. Also, I tried uninstalling Google Voice and tested, still the same issue, so that wasn't the problem.
Thanks for the suggestion though. =)
msid?.....

Try going into the DATA menu ##3242# and doing a data profile reset on each device. You won't lose anything, it will just go through activation again. Have had to do it on my OG EVO 4G that I sold to my neighbor. When doing it on one fine, have the other completely powered off. And vice Versa.....let me know if that helped....

Tried the data reset
I have done that Data reset several times while on the phone with
Sprint techs. that's didn't resolve anything. Thanks for the advise guys. Any other ideas?
I say msid. Call them and escalate to someone that isn't a dummy. Then tell them to assign new msid's to each device. It's worth a shot.

Actually they tried that too they had me power one phone down assign new MSID and reboot. Done that on both phones still same issue. This makes me thing they got something crossed on their end. Figured I'd post here to see if anyone has ever seen such an issue before. =)
The device MSID values are not correct. Please check them in the data menu or in the about phone menu. Confirm with the Sprint that the numbers on the back end are the ones being pushed out to the devices when doing over the air activation.
So I flashed my friend Evo 3D to cricket. Here's the weird problem.
My friend had this old flip phone, so I got all the info I needed, flashed the phone, and now the Evo 3D connects.
This is the weirder part:
I send text: old phone gets text message
I call: old phone and Evo 3D receives call
Old phone answers and Evo 3D hangs up. Normal talking, no voice issues
Evo 3D answers, old phone keeps ringing. Evo 3D can talk, but can't hear other person using Evo 3D. On my phone, I can hear what my friend is saying on the Evo 3D and they can hear me. If old phone answers while Evo 3D is talking, the Evo 3D hangs up and the old phone connects call.
Any answers? Do I have to wait for the phone to fully move over to the Evo 3D? This is so unusual. LoL!!
U cloned the phone .... U shouldn't have changed the esn or the meid cricket would have added them they don't care turn the flip phone completly off and see what happens u can't have both on at the same time that's what happens when u clone a phone whatever one the tower sees first recievs the call cloneing is also illegal just an FYI

What are you talking about!? I watched the tutorial to flash your phone to cricket, and after that, this is what happened.
I NEVER even touched the ESN. So getcho face!! Thank you. Oh and it's not illegal to flash your phone to another carrier.
Hello all,
First post on XDA; I've been searching for this issue for the past 4 hours, and found very little. I hope I haven't missed anything.
Long Story
Had a rooted phone, tried to flash JellyBAM; worked, except that kernel got messed up (touchscreen didn't work). Problem remained even after restoring HTC Sense. I assumed it was b/c my phone still had S-ON.
After successfully running DirtyRacun on my Evo 4g LTE, I flashed JellyBAM 7.6.2 (using TWRP 2.4.4.0, wiped Dalvik, Cache, Factory Reset & System first). Everything worked fine, except that there is no mobile network whatsoever. When booting JellyBAM, it prompts me to activate my phone:
"A special call needs to be made to activate your phone service. After pressing 'Activate', listen to the instructions provided to activate your phone."
I do this, but the problem is that I get an automated message: "Your account is not authorized to make calls to this phone number. If you would like to have additional capabilities added to your account, please call Customer Service."
This is the same message I get trying to make any phone call. Nothing (data, calls, etc) works on the mobile network now. I called Sprint to see if they could simply de-active then reactive my phone, but it appears to them as already activated. The tech I spoke w/ thinks I may have deleted the Sprint programming.
This sounds plausible, but what's REALLY WEIRD is that *2 still dials Sprint perfectly, and holding 1 still tries to check voicemail. So clearly some aspects of it connect with Sprint still. I have no idea what's messed up, unfortunately.
I don't believe JellyBAM is the culprit here, b/c after DirtyRacun but before flashing JellyBAM, I still had this problem.
Helpful Info
Android Version: 4.2.2
Radio Version: 1.12.11.1119
Kernel version: 3.0.73-g5d13a2c
JellyBAM 7.6.2
Question
Is there anything I can do to fix this so that my phone can reconnect with and use Sprint's mobile network? I'd really like to preserve JellyBAM, S-Off, and Root, given the amount of time and effort it took to get those working. Thank you so much, any help would be greatly appreciated.
First, try updating your radio.
I'd say to RUU back to stock and see if the problem persists. If it does then take it to Sprint and they should give you a replacement if you have the YEP. I had a similar but not so screwey situation, a few actually, like yours and when I lost all network Sprint replaced my phone. I've always had success dialing my voicemail after attempted activations and then my phone would kick back in within about 15 minutes while keep texting and calling my home phone.

Thank you for your response, I really appreciate the help.
I updated my radio, which went smoothly, but unfortunately it didn't work. What's frustrating is that I don't even know what the problem is. I know it isn't the ROM I flashed (since it had the same problem on HTC Sense before I flashed JellyBAM). It seems to have started after DirtyRacun S-Off process.
I'm still pretty noob so I don't know what else besides radio it could be. I'm really reluctant to try and restore my phone to stock due to the amount of time I spent learning to root and S-Off it. Wouldn't want that to be in vain, though I might not have a choice at this point.
Is there something I should try next?

Before calling sprint, Google the 4g lte dialer codes, I'm sure there is one that activates the wireless reactivation process (that was the case with my old gs3)

I know after achieving S-off, I had to call Sprint due to a security issue. I couldn't make calls or anything.
It was painless and took all of 5 minutes.

Hello,
My brother recently has his Note 2 stolen. As a temporary replacement, I lent him my old EVO 3D running CM10. When he went to activate it, Sprint obviously could not do anything. He really needs this phone working ASAP as he is at work right now and needs to have a phone. I know flashing a Sense ROM could make the phone activate, but he has no network connectivity to download a new ROM.
Is there any way whatsoever to get the phone to activate with CM10? Maybe a ## code where you can change your number so Sprint will recognize it? The only thing I tried was doing a Factory Reset from TWRP, but that did not work. He did get signal after a factory reset, but it did not activate. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
