If someone cannot install 4.1.B.0.431 on his neo v,it's because it is rooted.I was having the same problem until now.Restore via pc companion and update via mobile(not pc companion-it can't find the update for me-).Beware that you will lose your data and apps.(not on sim and sdcard)

Hi, guys. One simple question since I couldn't find a straight answer. My Xperia mini currently has 4.0.A.2.368 firmware. Today that I connected it with pc companion, the program informed me of a 4.0.A.2.377 update. If I update through PC Companion, will all my apps, settings and stuff be lost like in a restore? Or is like FOTA update that everything is kept? Thanks

When PC Companion detects my phone, it keeps saying a new software update is available for your phone (6.1.A.2.45)

No, it's always like this with rooted kernels.
Freeze update service via link2sd or titanium backup pro, it will stop bugging you.
Hi i have just flashed my Locked BL Xperia U from stock ICS to Miui Locked Bootloader version.
After flashing, i cant use pc companion to restore my files i backed up prior to flashing. PCC is not able to detect my phone and i am not able to access my phone usb storage as well, eventhough i have activated the option on the newly flashed MIUI firmware.
Is this a problem on the part of the ROM or is it in general that PCC is not able to detect phones running on custom ROMs?

Managed to get the storage workin.
But Pc companion stil cant detect my phone, keeps askin mi to update to the latest pcc version (eventhough it is the latest.)
Reason, y i wanted pcc to work is i have backup my data at pcc (where the extension of the backup is .dbk) Now i wanted to restore those important contacts and sms messages, but not able to do so.
I also searched on ways to try to extract my .dbk files and convert them to format where i can use 3rd party apps to restore them without pcc, but to no avail..... :crying::crying:
i was updating my xperia z2(D6502) to marshmallow and after downloading the file of around 1030mb on sony pc companion update failed.Now it is not even recognising my phone..Help needed urgent.

Try using different USB ports on your pc. If none of them works. Try Xperia companion. It worked for me.
