I'm looking for a Anti-Glare Matte Screen Protector. I've found a few so I'm wondering if any one has had a good experience with one they've purchased and applied.
Looking for something that feels like the film that was on the EVO LTE out of the box, the LOCATION PRIVACY warning one.
Long time lurker, first post wooohooo lol.
I'd wait for the Spigen SGP matte one to be released. Have it on my 3d and I recommend it with my eyes closed. Goes on pretty simple, hardly noticeable, matte feels great, easy to clean, no glare and fills the screen real estate nicely. Overall, perfect.
Zagg HD is fantastic..feels like glass and crystal clear. Love mine.

I always got mine off eBay, and they worked great!
I think they all perform about the same. If you aren't using the phone in the sun all the time, I'd recommend against it though.
But if working in the sun is what you need it for, you'd be much better off finding a really good pair of polarized sunglasses to with an anti-glare screen protector.
I used to have an awesome pair (before I lost them) which made the screen about as readable as if you were inside a dark room, and I think the screen protector was one of those cheapo made HTC ones.

He said anti-glare.
Thanks for the replies.
Well I'm not in the sun all day but I like the feel and the no smudge, anti-fingerprint capabilities.
I just ordered one from eBay for $4.95 and i'll wait for the Ultra Optics protector from Spigen to come out and i'll probably try that one out
I ordered this the other day
CrazyOnDigital Screen Protector Film Matte (Anti-Glare) for Sprint HTC Evo 4G LTE One (3-pack)
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007X6JQ7W/ref=pe_175190_21431760_M2C_ST1_3p_dp_1
Waiting for it to come in. I can't imagine 3 screen protectors for only $4 can be very good, but I figured I'd try them out. I couldnt find any Zagg screen protectors AT THE TIME, so this would hold me over until I ordered a Zagg.
Do the zagg screen protectors they have for the HTC One S and One X fit on the Evo LTE?
I also saw that one on amazon. I've seen a few that's why I wanted some 1st hand advice.
The one I ordered has a cut out for the sensor.
I read that people were having trouble with it because of the screen protectors.

Man, if you aren't in the sun all the time, DO NOT use an anti-glare screen protector. They aren't perfectly clear as a regular screen protector would be. They have this overlaid rainbow effect which distorts colors and visibility.
A perfectly white screen will not look white, but will have tiny red/green/blue sparkles all over.
clarivue makes the best. I always use them. Used them on the HTC EVO, EVO 3D, and now the EVO LTE. You get two "ultra clear" screen protectors for 14.00 shipped.

I'm not a fan but want to try another company. I tried Zagg a couple of years ago and it felt like rubber and had orange peel, pulled it off after a day.
In the perfect world I would get one that looks clear, feels like glass and helps with finger prints.
What is your favorite and why?
Thanks
I've tried Zagg and a bunch of others on my Evo 4G. The best one I had was this cheap 99 cent screen protector I got off amazon. Had it on for months with no scratches, and it looked and felt just like glass.

July 18th full screen protection . Works great with defender otter . I could throw my last one on eBay
I have ghost armor screen protector on my 3vo and they are the best in my opinion. Every phone I owned I bought ghost armor for them and didn't worry about the screen at all. Lucky for me, there is a ghost armor kiosk here in grapevine Texas so I just go there an they apply it professionally. I suggest it if your in the area.

Decided to go with Phantom Skinz since it comes with a camera protector and I've read good reviews on their products
http://phantomskinz.com/htcevo3d.aspx
I first got an Invisible Shield for my TP2, but there was too much orange peel effect and it was too "sticky" so I changed to Phantom Skinz. Phantom Skinz was much better.
On my Evo 3D I have a Clarivue protector now and it seems like it's scratched on the bottom side... I think I might change to Phantom.

Boxwave Crystal Clear.
The problem is, Boxwave has been really dragging their feet in getting ANY accessories specific to the 3D. They just finally got a rubberized case for it, but that's it. No screen protectors yet.
I ordered the BodyGuardz HD screen protector. These have anti-glare. Got it last night and it has a 'halo' effect. That is where the edges of the protector are not stuck onto the screen. It is not raised where it can easily become unpeeled. I wrote to BodyGuardz and they are sending me replacements that should work properly, which they claim are die-cut. A different manufacturing process that should work better.
Big plus for their customer support! I will post an update when I get them.
Zagg by far!

I have always used Zagg until I tried XO Skins. I was going to buy a Zagg for my GTablet, but someone posted the XO Skin for it on sale, so I gave it a try. It is somewhat like the Zagg InvisibleShield, but has that glass like feel with no orange or yellowish tint over time. It is a wet application, but when it cures it looks like nothing is even there. They also have a lifetime warranty just like Zagg, so if anything ever happens, you get a free replacement.

I got my screen protectors on Monday and I have to say it is horrible. You don't get fingerprints on it but it looks like it is dirty all they time. IMHO they suck!
I had a Casemate brand protector on my EVO 4G and loved it. Now I have a Clarivue brand on my EVO 3D and love it just as much.
No tacky feeling, no orange peel look, and no adhesive/water required.
Anybody try OEM screen protector that Sprint sells?
http://shop2.sprint.com/NASApp/onli...=Carry+&+Protect&selectedAccessoryID=ZCH5009V
Absolutely horrible, do not get. They scratch so, so easy....can't even use a credit card to smooth out the bubbles. Several people in the forum have said the same.

Do they sell any good aftermarket ones at Best Buy or something? I just got my phone today and I want to protect my screen immediately instead of waiting for shipping.

Anyone used this screen protector before? Nice price...but that makes me worry a bit about the quality.
http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=skinomi&aq=f
I have one on my Transformer and Nexus S 4G and I'm happy with both.
They don't feel quite as durable as Invisible Shield (yet far, far more durable than the cheaper adhesive plastic models) but the installation is easier and the price is nice.
I have one arriving on 7/12 for my Evo 3D. I'll make a post related to my first impressions on it if you like.
I would appreciate.
Not as durable, what do you mean? I have never used a screen protector. Screwed one up when I tried to put one on my hero. Almost think it would be worth getting a zagg at best buy and paying to have it installed so I don't screw it up.
I just haven't heard the best things about zagg.
Thank you.
Skinomi are nice. I like them better than Zagg. They scratch fairly easy though. I'm using Clarivue screen protectors and like them better than Skinomi or Zagg. Skinomi has a lifetime warranty, like Clarivue and Zagg.
It's the material they use. Zagg's InvisibleShield feels like a thin rubber sheet while Skinomi's are a little more rigid (but less so that the dime a dozen cheap ones sold by Sprint). Putting a noticble, permanent scratch onto an InvisbleShield takes some serious effort. Overall, some things that will put a scratch on a Skinomi won't on a Zagg. For the money I think Skinomi is pretty solid and a far better investment than the thin velum ones (by Innocell and Writeright) that the Sprint stores in my area are pushing.
InvisibleShield does make the screen feel a little a little bumpy, almost sticky, when swiping (the "orange peel" effect some people refer to) whereas the Skinomi is totally smooth. I've never cared either way but some folks do seem to have a preference.
I'll post here again when I get my 3vo Skinomi and let you know what I think.
Sent from my 3vo using XDA App.
I've had the Zagg screen protectors and really didn't care for the feel. As stated above than can feel sticky when swiping, etc. I found some decent reviews on the Phantom Skinz screen protectors and decided to try it. Much better feel and once dries is hardly noticeable. Also seem to resist scratching very well. Plus you get 2 for the price of 1 and protectors for the glass on the back camera. Check them out:

Ive had skinomi on my evo4g since day one and put it through hell. Not a mark on the screen yet. Feels smooth too!

Got it today. Will put it on later and let you all know what I think?
Put it on, feels great. Look horrible....but I am assuming what appears to be moisture, scratches, and etc will disappear in a few days?
Screen scratched....but they are sending a new one.
Got a zagg installed. Love it. May keep this and give away the skinomi.
If anyone wants it, ill consider giving it away, you pay for shipping.
My small contribution to xda.
I actually got the full body film and it was fairly easy to install. The only thing I don't like is the ridges in the back of the EVO 3d turn out white and sustain the moisture from the solution. But the cut outs are perfect and the screen and camera protectors are nearly invisible. The touch to the screen protector is nice and smooth with no catch whatsoever. Also the film on the body give it a nice glazed look that I've grown to enjoy. I give this product an 8.5 out of ten. The screen protector on its own is 10th out of 10.

Is it on your Decepticon or Autobot? Because I always wanted a Prime.
My last phone was scratched, and among other issues with it, so I returned it for a new one. The scatches bummed me out so bad I made sure this time I'll get a screen protector. Bought the Zagg Smudge Free one for my phone and the feel is awesome, but it looks like ****. Everything is grainy and there are lines throughout the screen, so looking at 3D pictures and stuff sucks. If anyone can suggest an awesome screen protector that doesn't mess up picture quality, let me know.

I have used Zagg & just about every other screen protector out there. I have found XO Skins to be the best. They are much like Zagg, but are smoother, clearer & cure much better with less bubbles & imperfections in it. Just use Google & you will find them. You can also find many coupon codes for them. If I remember right BYUBLUE will get you $3 off.

Hi,
i bought a screen protector for my 3D and the thing is, on whites, the image gets full of those pixel colors (green blue and red). It happens also on other colors but not so notorious.. 3 of these screen protectors cost about 3€ so they might be of not good quality.. any reference on any screen protector that will "respect" the colors and keep the screen quality? where can i buy them? ebay, amazon?
thanks in advance

Did you get a Matte/Anti-Glare screen protector? They are known to do that and its a drawback, but the positive is you get less glare.
Other wise get a crystal/clear protector, they will look just like the naked screen, with the same mirror reflection.
The zagg ones do that until they've dried or aged-----the one on my ipod was awful looking for a day or two until it just disappeared. If it was a applied with a liquid it might need to dry out a bit before it has its final look

Re: matte screens. I have the bodyguardz version and don't have that problem. If you look closely you will notice in white backgrounds. But not with other colors. I'm happy with it. Plus they offer free replacements.

It was the same with me in the beginning with the matte screen protector...but it seemed to have worn of lately with some use. I'm guessing the material on top of the screen protector isn't as sufficient as it was on day one

Easy to apply and once it's on, you can't even tell it's on there.
Hi All,
Just wanted to pass this on. I've tried the Verizon screen protector and it totally sucks. It's very thick and makes the touch display really unresponsive, so I pitched that in the trash.
Then I found Steinheil. The SGP Steinheil Ultra Crystal (actually, under color choose the Ultra Fine for an extra $2) It is a really nice, matte style screen protector with a wonderful added benefit... NO FINGER PRINTS!
They're not the cheapest, but trust me, I've had several and these are the BEST, hands down!
I am not associated with store or the product. Just a grateful user.
Enjoy!

I don't disagree on Steinheil having good screen protectors, but you thought the VZ one was too thick? I'm using the VZ protectors (came in a three pack, the standard not the anti-glare) and it's not thick at all. It is hardly noticable. Only thing I don't like is the way they cut around the top area, and there is a subtle rainbow affect. If you want thick - try the Zagg!
I bought the sgp ultrafine and love everything about it except it makes light backgrounds look all grainy.

Question though on the RAZR, how did he fit being the screen sort of tapers down at the edges? I was thinking of getting one too as I always do, but man I love the feel of its naked glass..mm.

I've just fitted the 3M Vikuiti ADQC27 and it's brilliant. Reduces reflection making the screen clearer and brighter, and the surface is less grippy than the bare glass. It doesn't resist finger marks all that well though.
It slightly overhangs the bevelled edges of the screen and won't stick to them, but as I have an S-line case on I don't notice particularly.

It's scratch resistant - not proof. I wouldn't worry too much dragging my keys over it but something like sand would likely scratch it.

Its uber scratch resistant. Sand shouldn't even hurt it. I've used sharp keys and tried on my SGS 2. My best effort is to leave impressions of scratches. That's it. If you don't mishandle these devices with the coating, you would never be able to scratch them.

From what I've read, metal is not the problem. But sand is. See Has anyone scratched their gorilla glass for one thread on the topic.
You see plenty of tests of GG with keys and coins, but not sand or sandpaper because it likely will scratch. And pocket dirt often contains sand. Even if you don't put it in your pocket, if you drop it like here, you still are at risk.
I wish this wasn't true, and maybe it's worth taking the risk, but it's worth noting that Corning does not say scratch proof and you never see them test it against sand or sidewalk/road grit.
I'm using an SGP screen protector on my og incredible and love it. It looks like they dont have one for the inc 4g yet. I emailed them and they said "As of now, we don't have any definite plans to make screen protectors for the HTC increidible 4g LTE. However, if there is increased interest from our customers, we may change our production plans in the future"
That doesnt sound good. in the mean time, I'd like to use something. I'm thinking of getting a screen for a different phone, whatever is closest and using that. Any suggestions for which phone?
I am using a skinomi screen and body protector and its really nice and easy to install. I love it because it feels like there is nothing there and the touch screen is still very responsive.

Once I put on $0.99 screen protector from eBay and I peeled off screen protective film? thingy, which covers both front and back of screen protector. After I peeled off that plastic thingy, it was very clear almost unnoticeable. I thought it was so nice for 99 cents, In fact, there was no screen protector. It was two piece of screen protective films putting together. That was the clearest screen protector that I've bought.
