Sourcecode and previous release can be downloaded here
Sreenshots:
wll it play mp4 smoothly?
no match with coreplayer....
And with this the suposed "TCPMP 0.81" release is history
Great release! Skin looks great (and I didn't notice frame drop while playing)! Just needs to have a stop and a mute button (maybe the speaker image in the landscape view... needs to be added to portrait). Can't wait until we get it for the playlist and file browser!
Only thing I notice is when you press the video "window" it goes to fullscreen but doesn't start playing automatically. Also the bottom system "taskbar" doesn't redraw after skin is applied (if you didn't have a skin at launch and apply it using the browser in the player the bottom system "taskbar" will still be the one from the old TCPMP). But it's just tiny things (should be easy to fix).
About language.tgz could you add two more variants to the possible wma and wmv dlls? At least in my ROM (official WinMo 6.1 ROM from Samsung) and other WinMo 6.1 they're:
* wmv9decoder.dll
* wma9prodecoder.dll
Congrats and thanks for all the hard work!
PS: Noticed it has a skin selector. But can it revert to classic view (no skin) whithout deleting the skin file (or reg value)?
Thanks for share, great news for TCPMP lovers (the best audio/video player for Windows Mobile - my opinion).
Thanks again

Well I must admit that my photoshop skills aren't very good so we need someone to volunteer and make official skin for tcpmp. I would be glad to provide info on how to make it.

oh about that, the original sources offered the mechanism for skin support (and were meant only for main screen), but original developers removed sourcecode which would parse skin file load the skin and handle screen taps. So I've reimplemented that functionality using common sense with minimal changes to core components of program. To make whole interface skinnable it would involve to dig into core components and perhaps make program slower, this scenario isn't very attractive

Will fix the fullscreen taping behavior
About the bottom taskbar, restart of application is needed when skin is loaded

Yes it can revert to clasic by pressing skin... then cancel
Wow, this is great news! Thank you for your work on this.
One thing though -- will the AVRCP plugin work with this? Bluetooth music control is really a killer function for me.
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-avrcp-control-plugin-v0-6-alpha-for-tcpmp-0-72rc1.html
thanks!
All .plg plugins should work with this version, those addons wich consists of midified common.dll interface.plg player.exe etc. might work but will result in missing features of this build such as working equalizer, subtitles and skin support and this is the case for avrcp addon. In order to make it work in this build the sourcecode is needed.
I bet there will be new gfx for this (I think ppl have been dying for skins in TCPMP). Also the xml seems easy enough to understand to make new themes just by playing with it (though it lack stop and mute buttons).
About the other elements skinning all we need is a bigger (more touch friendly) playlist editor, browser (bigger folder/media files icon... stuff like that)... Maybe tweak them a bit (custom scrollbar, backgound color/image, font size/color... if possible). That's really what I meant.
About AVRCP I'm afraid it won't work... It was built into interface.plg and some lang files...
However the author xiaojin1985 uses this forum so he could be contacted. Also he has the code (or part of it) a his homepage.
any way to make last.fm scrobbling from this app?

Thanks for this!

TCPMP is alive...
Thanks.
Here is some info on how to make skin for tcpmp
Attached files Info.txt (explained syntax, keywords and functionalities)
SkinExample.zip a good example on what can be done (this skin was adapted for tcpmp by original developers, skin images was used in PocketMVP player and credits for this skin belongs to Marcelo A. García González)
For those who have tried this app how is the playback speed of this build
are there any noticeable speed changes in flv playback?
Hi bro,can I help you for adding AVRCP support?
About AVRCP
Yes ofcourse, any help is appreciated. As i can see your addon consists of modified interface.plg and some aditional lang files. So the best way, I guess it would be to apply your changes into interface sources of this build. pm me or for further details.

I changed the playback from direct draw to raw video buffer, and it plays flv videos really well for me.
Edit: GAPI seems to be the best setting. I benchmarked a .flv video dumped from youtube with the four driver choices: direct draw (25%), Raw Frame Buffer (95%), GAPI (145%) and GDI (80%). The GAPI driver had the highest average speed, and clearly looked the best. This is on a fuze (Raphael) with 6.5.5 (23529). Changing the buffer size and switching to microdrive in settings didn't do anything.
Hi ,thanx for your great work !
I can t download the src code from windows live, i don t know why !
Can you pm me a link or give us a new file provider ?
Thanx

It's way too basic.
No undo/redo.
No automatic cloud backup.
No selection tool.
No thickness setting for the pen.
Unable to create separate notebooks.
Unable to insert text.
Those are just the basics that I found to be missing, but it really lacks so much. S Note is fantastic and came free with our phones.

My Xperia Z Ultra (C6802) received the update notification for Movies and Video Unlimited, when on Android 4.3.3, but I didnt install it, as my 4.4.2 update was also released at the same time. Post installing my KitKat, the update for Movies and Video Unlimited is no longer available. Anyone facing the same issue?
Awesome Pop-up Video is a video player unlike others. It plays the video in pop-up window, floating above other applications, just like on your computer. Some even call it "Picture-in-Picture mode".
Multi-task! Why stop watching your TV show if someone sends you message, or get new email?
Why Awesome Pop-up Video is special?
When you watch video in applications like Facebook, Twitter, Vimeo, Google Chrome or standard Browser, Vine etc. you will get notification to pop-out the currently being played video or directly download the video on your device.
Combine this with "Heads Up Notifications" Xposed module or other with this feature and you will be able to pop-out videos in one tap.
*Note: This will not work for applications that have implemented custom video player like VLC, MX Player etc.
Extra modules to enable video detecting in applications with custom video player:
YouTube Module - not working with the latest YouTube version
Twitch Module
Facebook Module
Open videos in pop-up from your device or open videos from the Internet without downloading.
Also you can enter video url in the application from your favorite video site like TED, Vimeo, IMDB… and "Awesome Pop-up Video" will try to show the video in pop-up.
Download it from Google Play, it is half the size because it has binaries just for your CPU architecture, not like the attached apk in Xposed repo, which has both armv7 and x86 architectures.
Features:
• Log in with YouTube, easily access your personal playlists, more networks to come
• Playlist support + special eye candy if you have Android Lollipop
• Awesome Search - search for videos from YouTube, Vimeo or enter link to pop-out the video
• "First row" tab. One stop hub to get the trending videos around you. Saves you a click
• Chromecast™ support, currently available for external videos. Happy chromecasting.
• THEMES, customize the player colors to match your phone theme. It's Android, right?
• Hide videos, except YouTube™ videos :
• Snap to edges. When the player is near screen edge, it snaps right to it. No more trying to align the player with the edges.
• Multi Window™ ready = Maximum multitasking (only for devices that support Multi Window™)
The application has in app purchase which removes these limitations:
Download videos is limited to premium users*.
*Downloading YouTube videos is not supported.
I have spent many many hours to develop this mod, purchasing supports the further development of this application. Thank you.
Must have for tablets, so much white space on the websites, apps,... why not to use it?
Thanks to rovo89 for the awesome Xposed Framework.
Thanks to VLC media player for making video playback made possible. It plays any video format you throw at him.
In Downloads tab you will find special XDA version of the application.
If you like my application, please consider buying the Pro version, it keeps further development of this application. Thank you.

Nice Module, i really like it. Well implemented and easy to use.
I have 2 additional Questions though.
1. YouTube seems to be limited to 1080p Playback, why don't go higher? I realize the differnce is not really visible in the little Pop Up Windows, but if it's possible why not!?
2. Any way to get back to the Fullscreen Video (App), e.g. back in YouTube with some sort of a Button!?
I've noticed when I played your demo video from imdb it didn't continue playing with the screen off even though I have that selected. Sorry no debug available.
Also I can't seem to change the download location.
Purchased.

Just bought the golden ticket! This is freaking amazing dude. Mad props! Wow!
Really good app just a few suggestions
1. To hide video completly and enable only sound. For example if i wana hear a music clip but i dont want to see the video, there could be a button to switch to sound only.
2. Youtube app to work with screen off that would be amazing.
3. A button to return to the youtube app video
Thanks and keep up the good work
A very good module...

Eventually this app may be pulled off regardless on the Play Store. Look at what happened to TubeMate. And with the new YouTube music subscription coming out they'll be even more strict. I'm glad you made this for xposed however.

I love the app, How simple it is to pop up a video.
But I am having serious rendering issues. So far everything from youtube app to browser videos are skipping 2-6 seconds in frames or just stops like it's buffering then plays for 30 seconds max then stops again.
I have a Samsung galaxy s4 Active 4.4.2 stock
Plan on getting the gold ticket, but to much stop and playing going on
You should buy the golden ticket and then upgrade your Internet service. No issues here at all
Ok so, there's definitely a playback issue. Doesn't seem to happen all the time. Least for me
And crashes in snapchat. Maybe you should have a default preset apps instead of having them all selected. Idk just a thought. Might very some other apps that will crash it.
Also on dolphin browser, if flash player is enabled, Doesn't let me pop out the video, there's no notification for it.
I'm looking for a good music app with a fairly decent and modern UI? My favorite music player is n7 Player, but it's not compatible with Dolby Atmos and disables it, so everything else sounds horrible. I've also tried it with v4A, and it does something to it when you get a notification or call and you have to restart your phone for it to work correctly again.
I've tried A BUNCH of them, let me list what I have not and what I've tried.
What I have:
Could Player (by Double Twist) - My current main music app = Good features, but fairly "bland" in the UI dept, but not ugly or outdated - just "bland"
Shuttle + has been my simple, backup player for over 4 years - Just not a not of features, but very reliable and I never have problems with it
XenoAmp = I just started using this one last month, still not sure about it?? Very different, not too logically laid out
What I've tried (most, just this week):
The stock app... Nobody uses the stock app (I don't like it)
PowerAmp (alpha) - Can't stand the UI
Neutorn - Can't stand the UI, reminds me of an 80s video game
Pulse - Is basically like Shuttle
Music Player (by Ankit P Agrawal) - Just found this one, evaluating it before I purchase it
Timber - Not all the album art downloads
AIMP - Didn't like
PlayerPro - I bought the pro version this week, way too laggy and buggy - freezes up, won't change songs
JetAudio HD - Nice, has a noticable volume drop on the speakers - Also has a boring UI
Rocket Player - Love it, but the Cloud Expansion pack crashes the app and makes it unusable. Without it, over half my album art is missing.
Wave Music Player - Don't like
Minima - Still in beta and not a lot of features
Black Player - Didn't like
Pi Music player - didn't like
Flatnote - Didn't like (not all album art downloaded)
Stellio Music Player - I bought it over a year ago, just don't like it
Dub Music Player - didn't like
Phonograpy - didn't like
Vortex - Didn't like
Crimson - Didn't like
Abbey - I wanted to like this one, but didn't load all album art
There's been so many more I've tried, some I didn't like, about 4 or 5 completely disabled Dolby Atmos...... But maybe someone has one I haven't tried?
If you ask what I like??
I want n7 to work again, dang it!
Dark Theme
Easy access to Artist and then an album lay-out under Artist
I'd like an EQ I can use along with Dolby, that doesn't disable it or override it.
A nice "now playing" screen
Album and artist art download for all, or most, of my 2500+ songs
Try Music from Sony. Either search for a port or use the one which can be installed during the installation of Viper arise.
They included one more optional music player called Esira. Just tried it once but I prefer the one from Sony.
Google Play Music is compatible with Dolby and it gets the job done for me.
I'm also using sony music app

Going to try it. loving neutron at the moment, wish they cleaned up UI.
Update: listened it for a bit... I approve the app, will be buying pro version to show support.
I've been using Rocket Player and Jet Audio and I like them both. However, I also have ARISE installed and let that take care of audio enhancement. For me, it comes down to which UI I like best.
Poweramp paid version
I've got the paid/pro versions of:
Jet Audio - Didn't like the fact it didn't load all my album art
Rocket Player - If I want my album art, I have to use the Cloud add-on and it constantly crashses the app. Support thinks its some of my song causing the issue, but can't tell me which ones (even with a catlog).
PowerAmp (my first Android purchase several years ago) - Can't stand the outdated UI any more.
I tried the evaluation period of Neutron, exclusively, and tried to like the UI....But couldn't
This is the newest one I've found that I really like the UI on - But you can't use the built in EQ the same time as Doly: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ankit.musicplayer.pro
I'm going to look for the Sony app and try it.

Not sure why, then, Jet Audio won't load 75% of my album art, or artist art? May be because some of it is stuff I've had for 20 years?
But, in saying that... The other two players find 95% of the art?
In the pics, the 1st one is Jet, the 2nd one is Music (Ghost music), the 3rd is Cloud music (by Double Twist)
onkyo.
"err on the side of kindness"
Kind of liking Gone Mad Music player... It's pretty powerful and customizable at the same time, all while being 100% compatible with Dolby Atmos. So, you can leave Dolby on and turn on the Gone Mad EQ and tweak it more and Dolby Atmos stays on. It also populated most of the album art. Artist art is just a list, but I guess I'd rather have it all one way instead of missing an artist picture.
Double Twist Cloud Player is what I've been using for the past 6 months and still like it, I guess I'm just a little bored of the UI - But it is also compatible with Dolby Atmos in the same way.
I like the Sony music app (found it in the Apps & Games section here on XDA), but it only uses the system EQ (Dolby Atmos), which is fine for a quick and easy music app.....But I'd like to be able to use Dolby Atmos along with an apps built in EQ to fine tune my audio player without the need to adjust Dolby each time I need to fine tune my EQ, because Dolby is not the easiest to do a fine tune adjustment to.... You have to start all over when you touch it.
How did you install the Sony music player? Package installer says the app isn't compatible. Are you running stock?

I'm stock rooted 7.1.1.
Here's the one I used: https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...sony-xperia-music-9-3-5-0-0-port-apk-t3555386
The problem with most of the players around is that they don't play every format. I use VLC (nightly version). It just plays everything.

That'd the issue. I used the apk from APKMirror. Thanks
I've been using the Gone Mad Music Player for the past week now and I think this may have filled the void I was missing with a music app! Looks GREAT, sounds GREAT, very customizable, easy to use and all my album art fills in.
I have purchased gone mad power amp and neutron. After setting them up I like the sound you can get out of neutron the most. Ui is rough learning curve is rough but the sound is sweet.
The new very stable poweramp beta is amazing
Yep. I found an awesome solution. There's a stable beta in production of poweramp. I know... Great UI.... Mediocre sound, right? Not anymore. It's absurdly good. Whole new build focused on audiophile sound quality. Its literally the best sounding player I've used on android and I have some good earphones.
To get it to work with dolby atmos you need to change a setting. Under Audio/output / select high res output (experimental). Works beautifully on the axon. Poweramps eq is much better than dolby's 4 band and you can use it with dolby.
Under advanced tweaks / enable musicfx.
There is also an experimental feature to add more volume notches in the audio volume control in the advanced tweaks section.
With the right pair of headphones this player sounds ridiculously good! Make sure your axon is set to headset hi-fi in the sound settings.
Just Google search poweramp beta it might be available on the bottom of the poweramp Google play page as well.
Audio nirvana!
Cheers!
