App data is stored there and also on sdcard/data

System/pre-installed apps are installed in /system/app
just pack any app back into .apk using bluetooth file transfer

You need to mount the folder with write permissions. Click on the RW button at the top

Sorry cannot help you with that... But there must be some other way to install such apps. Maybe some files are missing... Must read up on it....

You said file names. To change album name etc you need a id3-tag changer. Search for that.
