Does the light on the front of the phone suppose to blink for new notifications? And if so how long? I have been reviewing multiple texts and emails and no light. Any advice.. It does light up when charging though.

It does not flash for any notifications, Only lights up whilst charging, It's the same for all wp7 phones until it's incorporated into a custom rom maybe?
This is my second Titan. My first had to replace for a screen issue. But I could of sworn it would blink when receiving notifications. It does say notification light in manual though. Lol

I like having the notification LED. I've customized it with Light Flow and it works great. The only issue is that the LED doesn't do anything when the screen is on. Is there any way to get the notification LED to work when the screen is on?
Might I ask why you need it on constantly? Is it just for looks?

Yes there is, and your half way there. In LightFlow, general settings, check compatibility mode, check run as root. The light will stay on now even when the screen is on. The trade off is you only have 3 colors now.
I don't want it on constantly. I just always want it to blink when I get an Call/SMS/email, even when the screen is on.
And thanks for the info, WiredPirate. I guess I can take away the Battery Charge colors so I just have SMS, Gmail, and Missed Call.
Okay, now I have a new issue. The Compatibility Mode Light Flow notifications work just how I want them to...until the phone is plugged in. When the phone is on the charger, the notification LED ignores Light Flow and reverts to the default notification colors (green for charging, white for missed call, cyan for SMS, and yellow for Gmail). Is there any way to get Light Flow to take over when the phone is plugged in? Or am I out of luck here?
And now I'm confused. So, disregarding Light Flow, the Atrix's notification LED only works when the phone is plugged in and charging? That's stupid.
Hi all, is there a way to make the notification blink more like stock? coming from a Droid 1/2Global it blinked until you looked... The rezound only blinks like 3 times.
Do I need to install an ASOP rom to get this, or is there a way to do it non-root?
It all depends on the app. My SMS notifications blink forever in Go SMS.
Mine blinks until the email/text/Facebook alert has been addressed.

When i turn off the Screen of my S3, the notification LED starts flashing red continuously... battery is charged and there are no missed calls either... why is it flashing?
Hmm... Have you looked, to see if you have any e-mails, SMS or anything comparible?
If yes, that would answer your question
If the mobile is charging you will get red notification . You can turn it off from led settings if you dont want it

Anyone know of any apps or any way that you could have the screen turn on for 5 seconds or something when a new SMS comes in? Love everything about the phone except for the fact there is no notification LED for incoming messages.
The screen does turn on when a new toast pops up

That's very upsetting for me: no led notifications on Nokia Lumia 920, no missed call, no sms, no email notifications, this phone is like blind and mute. If somebody knows some app that could help light the fire, would be nice to post here. Or maybe some dev. could invent something to use the led lights for notifications...
The title probably says it all. Now before I get attacked saying there are already options for it... you're only half wrong.
There are options for missed calls, emails, and something else. What I am looking for is and app or mod that will allow the back led to function for messaging, Facebook, Skype. That sort of thing.
I have 0 experience in programming and wouldn't even know where to begin. I frequently have my phone face down as I keep it in a case with holster combo most of the time. It would be awesome if that led worked for all events so I don't have to constantly check my phone.
I have verizon, I'm not 100% sure if the att, t-mobile and international versions can do the same.
Asking a dev to help me out and I hope I am not the only person requesting this.
Thanks.

Are you rooted? Have you tried something like lightflow?

Not rooted. I've looked at some of the market apps to control led's. But most say they don't work at all on lg devices besides the nexus

[REQ] Rear notification light (power button) for all notifications?
Didn't get much attention. Hoping this thread is more successful.

Got Light Flow to activate power button led on incoming text. It just required turning on the 1st and last LEDs on the list of additional LEDs found by Light Flow (not sure which one did the trick) and setting Light Flow to work via root access.
But there were problems After receiving the text message and seeing the power button led illuminate, the screen would not respond to Knock On and would turn on for a moment upon pressing the power button but turn off almost immediately.

Well thanks for being brave and taking a hit for the team. Hope you didn't have to restore from recovery to get beyond that? I suspect one of those LEDs is the one Promising.

I had the exact same problem when I tried using Light Flow to setup different color LEDs. Thankfully, if you can actually get the screen to stay on you can uninstall (or change settings) Light Flow to fix the problem. I had someone call me so the screen would stay on.
