[Q] P7500 with AWS radio? - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a P7500, and actually wanted to know if anyone had attempted to flash the radio to support AWS bands. From what I have read, the T859 is the same Tab with the exception of the bands.

Going by experience of other devices, the frequencies of the networks require the bands to be physically supported at hardware level, of which, the radio hardware will be physically different, so flashing a Radio firmware other than the one you should be running, will probably only end on tears.

No it is not.
To clarify on the post above me.
CDMA(Verizon) =/= GSM(Tmo)
You can google the differences between the two networks if you like if you want a more detailed answer.

If it was possible, then only another carrier that supports 700Mhz LTE would be able to be used. ATT would be the only other option to try since they will also be using a 700mhz spectrum. But still, it isn't very likely that they can be unlocked.

Question about Samsung galaxy note 2 changing from CDMA to GSM

Please help I bought a US Cellular Galaxy note 2. I didn't know it was CDMA. Anyone can help me. I just wonder if there's anyway to change the note 2 from CDMA TO GSM?
Don't know if all note 2s have this, but the Verizon Note 2 has global radios and will operate on gsm. No lte though i imagine

Does it have a SIM card slot? If not, you're boned, sorry buddy.
This site is pretty reliable in my experience with their phone specs and it lists as not supporting GSM bands

However, the phones do have the SIM card slot so it most likely just needs a flash or two.
I would hazard a guess that Samsung would not use a different chip than ours for the provider...just block it via software.
Would be interesting if an international rom and modem update would take care of it, don't know though. Just thinking out loud. Which usually gets me in trouble.
I think this will point you in the right direction

[Q] 1900mhz TMobile data

I live in a refarmed area (jacksonville) and I just switched to tmobile today. I can't get anything but EDGE. Is there something i should have to do to make my i9300 use TMobile on the 1900mhz band?
please ask in the correct section
I9300 can get only 2g data over tmobile, not sure if it will change when they change their infrastructure,
I can just say you sir made a huge mistake hehehe

So, that is not true. T-Mobile, in an effort to steal some of the unlocked iPhone business from ATT, has been moving "refarming" their 3G/4G network to the 1900mhz band, which is what ATT uses for 4G. So, if you live in an area that has been refarmed, which I do, any phone that works on ATT's 4G HSPA network, should get HSPA from T-Mobile.
With that said, I am only getting EDGE, and I live in a refarmed area. So, does anyone knowledgeable on this subject know if there is anything I need to do to my phone to make it use the 1900mhz band with T-Mobile?

[Q] Switching carriers

The answer to the OP question is NO. ATT is GSM carrier, Sprint is CDMA. There is no current "unlock" to allow the international GSM portion to work on USA networks.
Sorry.
