[Q] CM7 & ICS Screen Boot Glitche - Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet

Hello all, i just rooted my nook tablet (8gb) and flashed cm7 and ics nightly and both are giving me a wierd boot glitche, it dosent freeze on boot but it hangs up and the screen jumps all over the place, so if anyone can help that would be great!

Maybe re-flashing the ROM could help? Did this start after you did something on your Nook?

I don't believe you can flash CM7 to the 8GB Nook. It has to run from SD.
Also did you build the nightly into a ROM?
Bill

This started when I flashed cm7, now cm9 does it, It lags like that and stays there
I downloaded Cm9 0.0.4

Thanks for that link and info, I tried it and still dissent work, I think my tablet is bricked (not because of Cm9) I made a backup and I flashed it back and it just sits at the N screen, I try cm7 and that only works when the tablet is plugged to the computer...I'm having bad luck with this

if your partitions are still okay... i would flash ( all the way back... ) to stock as a beginning point.

to be honest, i think my tablet is semi bricked. It will run cm7 on sd only when a usb or charger is pluged in, i trie restoring my stock backup in cwm and nothing happens...like its bricked

[Q] LG optimus V black screen

Hi,
I need some help, i flashed my optimus v to rodimus just now with ROMTOOLS, but it went to a black screen after a LG logo, i can go to recovery and I did flash the stock rom but the same thing happened, I also tried to change the bootanimation thinking that was the problem but it didnt fix it.
Oh and I reinstalled the stock rom this way:
recovery menu->install zip from sdcard->choose zip from sdcard->ROM.zip
I hope im doing it right,
Thanks!
Can someone please help, i really need to do this, help is appreciated!
There's a thread in here about that. I believe its something to do with a kernel issue between newer and older V's. Did you do a nandroid backup before you flashed? If so you should be fine

Help Please... Stuck on Boot

I recently rooted my galaxy gt i5503 and tried to install the CyanogenMod 7.2.0-RC0 – v2.1 for Galaxy5. I made a nandroid backup, I did everything in the tutorials but my phone got stuck on boot. I tried reflashing, still no luck so I decided to restore my nandroid. My phone is still stuck on boot. I got the phone here in the Philippines and it was never updated. It's still on 2.1 eclair when i tried to update it. Please help me. I just want the phone to work. either it go back to previous state or gingerbread.
by stuck on boot, do u mean that its stuck on the ANDROID screen or that it goes to the blue android skating animation and loops from there?
Try installing a compatible baseband. A "wrong" one prevents CM from booting.
Have You cleaned catches?

Are you upgrading from a stock rom? (2.1/2.2) in that case, you will need to wipe data, cache, dalvik cache and battery stats before you upgrade. you can do this via the recovery.
Ask me if u need detailed procedures.
press thanks if i helped!
same problem...stuck on white android screen.
i can use android 4.4.4 but i wanted 2.3.7 bcuz of memory problem.... any solutions
Format the data partition to ext4.

- my windows doesn't reconize the phone, i tryed different drivers/samsung kies and so on, but nothing worked, i keep getting this
my phone is currently in downloading mode and i got everything sorted (odin3 v1.85, PDA etc) but i can't get to it... Any help will be appericiated, thanks in advance.
Here is a pic:
img34.imageshack . us/img34/6538/pdr6.png
EDIT: I fixed it by putting the usb cabel when the phone is not turned off, weird... anyway i tryed flashing CyanogenMod again and i bricked it again lol, i did evrything just like the guy on the video, any suggestions?
Do these
1.Search for Multiformater Tool (Link is broken in that Op so go to.last post some had reuploaded)
2.Goto CWM and then flash that zip in that zip.choose Format data all to RFS 2nd Option
3.And then Goto Stock Recovery (Red one) Do wipe data/cache
4.Now you can Restore your Backup of Custom Rom
5.Thats it if you want to goto CM7.2 Then just Follow beil's video After Doing Wipe data /cache in Stock recovery
Thats it

Actually he said suggest, not which is the best so it's OK.
You can try Touchwiz Resurrection if you like TouchWiz UI and also smoothness. But if you like Holo you can go for Cosmic v2 for simplicity or AceJB.

Thank you a lot, one more thing i wanna ask:
Is there anyway to hard-brick my phone by trying out ROM's? And is there any point of boosters like pureperfomance X/or kernels(and which ones you suggest me to use) for the custom ROM?

So far, our phones can't be hard bricked by installing our ROMs or kernels. Phone can be hard bricked when you use ROM Manager or when you install other roms of different devices.

[Q] Touch Screen Not Working After Temasek Unofficial CM11

Hello everyone, I was using ultimarom till now and it worked like a charm. Today I thought hey lets upgrade to android 4.4 so I found temasek's rom and it seemed fine. After flashing the rom, it got stuck on boot screen. So I reflashed the stock rom (btw I wiped everything as required) and it was working. So I retried flashing the Temasek's rom and it booted this time, only thing is that my touch screen was not responding. The capacitive buttons are working also the touch screen is showing everything but not responding to anything. I searched a little bit, and it might be possible that my digitizer is broken which I hope is not since I am in a different country and it will be a pain to do it here. Also I read that if you tried to install Note 2 kernel/rom this might happen but I know that temasek's rom is definitely for s3 so it shouldnt be the case for me. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Bektas

I tried with both stock and temasek once again and the touch screen still does not respond. I always used cwm for recovery though, and did a factory reset on the stock recovery once to see if that works. I can flash ultima as well I suppose but I am not sure if that will fix it.
Edit: I tried to flash ultima but the installation steps required the use of touch screen so I could not proceed.
Are you sure that you download Temasek's rom for I9300 not for another model? Because Temasek supports more devices.
And on Temasek's thread I didn't find any user complaining about touch screen issue after installing it,so I think that you flashed it for different model.

Flash back to stock with odin if problem is still there then it is hardware issue....
I rechecked and it is temasek for I9300. I restocked ofc with odin and it is no use tbh. I mean it is weird as the first time I flashed stock rom the touch screen was not working for 30 seconds or sth than it started working so I was really happy for a second.. After another flash it was not working and I was like yea it will work soon, but it didnt. I tried with loads of roms and kernels and it is still no use.
Any help? I have no idea how to fix this! I may have to send my phone for replacement which will be costly I suppose.. Any little tip will be appreciated.

Didn't u install the new version of Cwm? I'm using ultimarom v16 & I try to use Android v4.4.2... It seemed good to me

Solution
Hey dude, I couldnt find any solution to that problem. What I did was to send it in for replacement but with warranty. For that you need to triangle away your phone and also install the official firmwares. I had to use a mouse in order to do that but you will need a usb to micro usb converter, which is not that hard to find( and also cheap). They couldnt tell that I installed unofficial firmware, I replaced my screen flawlessly. You can find how to triangle away your phone in this forum and also sammobile is the place to look for official firmware.
Cheers
