Hi,
Just got my S3 yesterday and loving it. One thing I don't like though is the green android smileys when texting. Is there a way to get other types on the phone?
Yes. Just edit the framework-res.apk and change the images
tapatalked from galaxy s3
Thanks that's great!

Hi everyone,
I'm going to get the Galaxy S 2 soon and wanted to know few things please.
1. I seen on my friend one all of the menu have black background. Is there a way to change these colour like to Light theme instead of dark on the settings page?
2. How is the batter like on that phone?
3. Can it really be fully customized like in having different themes not just changing wallpaper like iPhone 4?
Thanks for reading

Hi Everybody,
I would like to install the standard samsung keyboard on my CM7.
I see that this is possible in other similiar models like the galaxy mini but I dont know if thats compatible with my Ace and cant find a specific one.
Would anyone help me with this?
Many thanks!
I simply flashed the mini one a few days ago, it works but it has annoying bugs (e.g. gray letter colors instead of black on white keys)

The ICS keyboard is pretty good. Look up the theme in the forums and install it. It's great

Hello guys, i am a big fan of XDA and i hope im posting in the right area, i don't really post in these type of websites very often, but here is my problem and i hope it's possiable and someone can help me out or point me in the right direction. i have a samsung galaxy s3 running cm10, i installed widget locker (it lags way to much but im keeping it just because of the sliders) the moto default sliders that it has, is there anyway to replace the default slider of cm10 with sliders like that? so i don't have to rely on widget locker. i have speant the last 12 hours trying to figure this out, i am a noob when it comes to this, someome said Metamorph was possiable, but you need to do something with your framework-res.apk and i don't really know what to do there either, any help greatly appreicated!
I was somehow able to install the stock 4.2 launcher on my UNROOTED galaxy tab 2 7.0. I have no idea how it worked because the place I downloaded it from said it would only work on rooted devices but I was like "ehhhh what the heck....trying it out can't hurt..." So I downloaded it and it installed and it works perfect! I was amazed and it is smoother than any other launcher I have ever used. Just one problem......the dock icons are really small....are they supposed to be this small? Is there any way to make them bigger?

The problem is that your dpi is to low. Get a app called build.prop editor and edit this line:
ro.sf.lcd_density=
chane that to a higher number for example:
ro.sf.lcd_density=120
change it to 140, BUT DONT CHANGE THE FIRST NUMBER, just edit x20
Can I do this without root? Because I am not rooted.

And are the icons supposed to be like that? Like on a nexus 7 with the stock launcher are they that small?

First and foremost, my phone is rooted already. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7582 (S Duos 2 model) and its on 4.2.2.
I would love it if there was an update for it to the newer 4.4 version but unfortunately there isnt. I tried using a couple apps to replace the emoji font, but I still get the black and white robot emojis. I don't know what I'm doing wrong exactly. I don't necessarily need colour emojis, but I've heard there are black and white replacements that are much better looking than the robot emojis. I would like suggestions on how to solve this.
