I know in my "Enhanced Email App" there is a checkbox to "Enforce Pin Lock Security Policy" I know there used to be a way to get around that, anyone know if there is anything recent as to get around the lock?
Edit: Wow, totally forgot to type in my subject. ^_^

I wanted to know if this is a known issue or if other folks can reproduce...
As part of my EAS (Exchange Active Sync for corporate email) policy, I have to set a pin/password for the phone which is required after 30 minutes of inactivity. I found that the password screen easily be bypassed by selecting "Emergency Dial" from the password screen and then canceling/closing the dialer: it brings me right to the home screen.
I assume this has to be a known bug, didn't find any info searching here or google. Can anybody confirm this bug?
Running SCH-I500.EA28, OEM Verizon.
Was it because I didn't say "Please"?
Hey guys, I just got my SG2, coming from an iPhone 3GS. Not my first experience with Android, but it is my first Android phone. Because I do enjoy the iOS pop up notification system, I've installed SMS Popup from the market. Seems to work pretty well, except I cannot get it to pop up a notification for my SMS messages without unlocking the phone. I need to use a password for my phone per my company's security settings, and so the pop up notification won't show until I enter my password.
Is there a way for the pop up to show before I unlock the phone? I thought I set it up that way, but it's not working for me.
Thanks for any help!
EDIT: Found the fix by enabling the "show over lock screen fix" option under Popup settings.
did you try Handcent SMS?
this application has got "enable, disable popup over the lock screen" option.
Yes, I did. No luck there, unless I'm doing something wrong.
I saw another option for a "fix" for newer devices in Handcent, and that seemed to work. Looks like I found my own answer!
Yes, I know you may think this is a duplicate of how to disable the wifi popup. It is not. I know you can use anycut to disable the link to HiddenWifiPopup or whatever but that is not the question.
The questions is, does the setting under Settings > Wifi > "Notify Me" work?
For the verizon the pop up will still appear, even when notify me is disabled. Is this a bug or is that how it is for all carriers?
If it is a bug I would love to try and fix it in a more legit manner then using anycut.
I have three google accounts on my phone. ALL of them are set to not allow saved passwords in their account settings.
BUT, I still get the stupid Nag to save my passwords on my Sprint running LS99830a
What the heck? I cant find any other settings on my phone that seems to relate to it.
Bump.....Anyone?
In previous phones I was able to, on lock screen, input my PIN and it would go directly into the phone. Now I need to click OK. Every thing I've seen thus far tells me to go into the settings and into the PIN setup and click "Enable (or disable) confirm PIN without tapping OK". That doesn't seem to show up when I go into the PIN setting.
Also - When I go into Connections>Advanced Calling - Only HD Voice is available, not HD Voice and Video Calling. I checked my Verizon account and it's been applied to my line so I am not sure if it's something I'm missing here.
Anyone tackle these yet?
edit: I contacted Verizon via chat and they needed to activate the Video Calling on their end, even though it was active on my account already.
