I have three google accounts on my phone. ALL of them are set to not allow saved passwords in their account settings.
BUT, I still get the stupid Nag to save my passwords on my Sprint running LS99830a
What the heck? I cant find any other settings on my phone that seems to relate to it.
Bump.....Anyone?

I have had my hd2 for about 4 months now, and during this time it has worked fine with gmail, but in the past few days it keeps asking me to input the incoming mail server password every time i go to check my emails.
I have tried deleting the account and inputting the settings again, sometimes it works initially, but then asks for the password straight after. I have noticed that when i go to email / options, edit account setup and go through the stages, my password has always changed in there by itself, and even when i change it back to what it should be it changes again automatically.
I am not an expert with these things (obviously), but i have checked all the settings and can't find anything left to try.
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks Charlie
Sorted out
I realised what setting i had wrong, it was the outgoing server authentication box that was ticked, since i have unchecked it everything is working fine again.
Only bothered posting this reply to my own post i the hope that this helps someone else.
So my friend locked my phone out. I Knew the gmail account linked to the phone but i forgot the password. I resetted the password on a computer but when i enter the new password in the phone it doesn't work.
I tried all my various passwords, including the null and it didn't work.
I don't remember if my phone sends notifications for emails because i only made the gmail account when i bought the phone (therefore it isn't my primary account and no one sends emails to it).
I have wifi connection and also 3g connection on the phone.
I am thinking the gmail account did not sync, therefore my new password isn't working. How can i sync the account, or do i have a workaround on getting this to work?

Hey, try to delete the gmail account, restart your phone, and then re-add your gmail account with your new password. If that doesn't work, I suggest backing up all of your contacts and information onto your computer and then factory resetting the phone so you start with a clean slate.
how do you disable "Automatic Sign-in" in the stock internet browser? it keeps telling me its available and gives me the option to log in. I've unchecked the Remember Password box under Settings/ Privacy and Security, but it keeps giving me the option when logging into GooglePlay. It asked me initially if I wanted to remember the username and password, now I want to clear it out.
I know in my "Enhanced Email App" there is a checkbox to "Enforce Pin Lock Security Policy" I know there used to be a way to get around that, anyone know if there is anything recent as to get around the lock?
Edit: Wow, totally forgot to type in my subject. ^_^
yes - check this thread.
Hi all,
I recently lost or had stolen my S3. Its on t-mobile uk. Its been reported and blacklisted. Unfortunately due to the battery nearly dead and having it blacklisted and maybe the sim removed i could not track and wipe via Samsungdive. Could anyone please advise what will be visible on the screen etc. T-mobile have said only the phone connection, mobile internet and sms are essentially blocked. Im concerned about other data such as already downloaded emails, texts ect being visible and navigation around the phones file system being possible. Would someone be able to look at email apps(system default, gmail and yahoo) or the text app on the phone? Also if a new sim is inserted, would that by any chance effectively create a new profile thus preventing anyone from viewing my old emails and texts etc. I have changed all my passwords. However im thinking of transferring all my emails to new email accounts, deleting the emails from the old accounts and setting the passwords for the old email accounts back to the same as on the phone. Then if the phone connects by wifi the email apps should hopefully update and delete the emails on the phone. Of course hindsight is great and I know I should have had a phone lock in place.
Cheers
A
If you didn't have any lock at all then everything on the phone will be available, IMEI locking will only prevent the phone connecting to mobile data, making calls or sending texts. Inserting a new SIM won't remove anything.
If you had set the email client to leave emails on the server then you can download them to your pc, delete them from the server, which would delete them on the phone if wifi connection is ever made.
Unless you had your visa card details on speed dial I wouldn't worry too much, it's probably already been factory reset and sold to a mug in a pub.
Thanks for the reply. Ive just noticed....... I changed my google password as a precaution. Ive just switched on my nexus7 and of course it asked for the new password. Therefore I guess if the lost S3 makes a wifi connection it will also ask for a password.
Edit** Sorry it asked for the password because I was connecting to the play store not upon switching on the nexus
