Just download the newest version of Unlockroot. Then plug your phone in to your USB port without debugging mode on. Wait for the phone to be recognised and turn on file sharing on the phone. Open unlockroot. Then finnaly turn on USB debugging mode on the phone (it will let you at this point. Click on root in unlockroot. (make sure you have internet connection on pc). Wait a minute or two, unlock root will ask you if you want to intall some software on the phone, answer "no", when it asks you to reboot the phone click "yes". Your phone will shut off but not reboot. Just unplug it from the USB, and manually turn it on. You are rooted. Have it on my Hisense U2 working like a charm. Now just need a digital signature to install updates from SD card. Any help?

the actual flash process does not require usb debugging on, as long as the phone enters flashmode(hold back and then insert usb cable) the flash shud work, when the phone turns on and has been setup then u shud do as flashtool says and tick usb debugging on
so just to reiterate, open flashtool, press flash select ur desired firmware, press flash, flashtool prompts u to enter flashmode(hold back button then insert usb), flash will automatically begin, once flash is complete unplug usb turn phone on, wait till its booted up and gone thru setup NOW u can selct usb debugging and unknown sources
Hi,
i have the same problem here, it's been a week since i started trying to flash this bloody X10a. Still no success, i can't even turn it on! Everytime i try flashing, i get this:
20/006/2011 16:06:55 - ERROR - (X10flash.java:260) - Error flashing. Aborted
20/006/2011 16:06:55 - INFO - (FlasherGUI.java:826) - Now unplug the device and power it on
20/006/2011 16:06:55 - INFO - (FlasherGUI.java:827) - Then go to application settings
20/006/2011 16:06:55 - INFO - (FlasherGUI.java:828) - turn on Unknown Sources and Debugging
So, my question is: Is it possible to turn on Unknown Sources and Debugging with a phone that won't do anything else than get into flashmode after 20-30 minutes of USB Charging and back button holding. The phone won't charge the battery either.

Root
The only way I can help you with is how to root your LG E510 and do it at your own risk. (I DID NOT DEVELOP ALL THESE STEPS)
BEFORE YOU START ANYTHING, DON'T CONNECT YOUR PHONE TO THE PC.
1. Download android drivers for LG E510. You should see the steps in it. ( You'll need to restart your computer after installing the drivers.)
2. Download the latest version of superOneclick and extract the files to your desktop.
3. Put your phone in debugging mode. (settings>applications>development>and check USB debugging if it is unchecked)
4. Now you can connect your phone with a USB cable.
5. Open SuperOneclick, then click on root. leave the phone alone until you see the confirmation message. During the process, your phone will restart by itself. REMEMBER TO NOT DO ANYTHING TO YOUR PHONE WHILE THE ROOT IS IN PROCESS!
Now your phone has been rooted. I hope this can help.
Ok so I have a problem and was hoping this would be a good place to solve my issue. Ok so after I rooted my Nexus 5, I decided to download the 4.4.2 update manually. But somehow I lost my root access, though I'm still rooted if that makes sense. I want to reroot my phone again but nothing happens when I plug my phone to my computer via USB. Then I discovered USB debugging won't turn off, and every time I try turning off developers options or USB debugging, my phone reboots itself. Please Help .

I guess the only option now is to download ODIN and the specific firmware of your phone type and carrier and then inject it to your phone via USB cable.
I have an LG L7 II Dual P715, and I was in 4.4.2 before, now I downgraded to Jellybean so that I'll be able to root it [I GOT THE KDZ FILE OF THE JB FIRMWARE FOR MY DEVICE FROM THIS LINK http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=21 ]. When I connected my phone to my laptop running windows 7 32-bit without turning on the USB Debugging yet and keep it in MTP connection, my phone got recognized immediately by the laptop (because i already had the drivers installed even before), but whenever I turn on the USB Debugging, when i connect it to my laptop, it just charges and it doesn't automatically enter the USB Connection Type where in i supposedly have to choose whether to use MTP connection or LG Software connection etc. unless I manually go to that section in the settings of the phone.
I have downloaded the driver of my phone. I even downloaded a universal driver of LG yet I still get the problem.
so basically, the problem is I CAN'T CONNECT MY PHONE TO MY LAPTOP IF IT'S IN A USB DEBUGGING MODE. I opened the Device Manager and I can't seem to find any trace of my device when it is in USB debugging mode Except if It is TURNED OFF.
What do you think is the problem with this? Is it my LG phone or the computer who has the problem? When I was in kitkat, I never experienced such issue, but when I flashed it back to JB, I cant rid of this problem anymore, PLEASE HELP, I badly want to connect my phone to the laptop while the USB Debugging is turned on.

If all you need is to root your device then you don't need USB debugging. You just need to use copy Framaroot's apk to your device and install it, and that you can do in MTP mode as well.

Never had similar problems with the USB drivers nor needed LG's tools, so can't help you there.
