Hi,
Although i have free space on my evo, i can not install any new application. What problem should it be? I can move some apps to sd but it should not be necessery if the device has enough free space.
Please check the screen shots.

When mine was that full, it gave that error even with space left. It seems to be when free memory around 10%. I think it does that leave room for caches and such.

From my experience, yes, it is normal. I'm not an Android engineer, but I believe it is leaving a little breathing room for caches, temp files, and such.
I am experiencing a similar issue that maybe someone can help me with.
I still have the free space, 148MB on-device and 4.45GB free on my 8GB SD card. However, it will not let me install apps. I tried moving as many apps to SD as I can, but I'm running into another problem here. I have a few apps that are 160MB+ in size, and it just won't let me move these apps to my SD card. If I try to use Settings > Storage > Make More Space, it will tell me there is not enough space on the SD card. If I go to Settings > Apps and check an individual app, then tap Move to SD Card, and it tells me that it couldn't move app.
I then tried another app, DroidSail Super App2SD (Root). For smaller apps, it gets SuperSU permission successfully and moves the app to the SD card. However, for the 160MB+ apps, it fails on me too, this time telling me to make sure I have root and USB Debugging enabled, which I do since I could move the smaller apps.
Is there just a limit to the size of apps you can transfer? Is there any other way I can transfer apps to my SD card and have more space?
My device is Sprint EVO 3D, running stock ICS OTA with 4EXT Touch Recovery and SuperSU root.
You can also try to remove some system apps, jetcet printer etc

While that does give me a little bit more space, I still have the problem where I can't move large apps. Thanks for the suggestion though.
Same thing happened to me. Any solutions? I tried moving apps to sd card

I'm using liberated 008 and seems like no difference if i move apps to SD or internal storage. I have 15 megabytes left on internal storage and i moved almost all applications to the SD card and i still have 15 MB free space. Do i have to do something special to use this feature? I've tried to move apps with titanium backup and via manage applications. Seems like they moved and i still have low space. Any help will be appreciated, thanks.
Yes, my phone is rooted.

Is there a way to transfer all my apps from my inspire to EVO 3d. The only ones that show up in my market app list are the ones purchased.

personally, most my apps i pull down thru the market so i don't usually copy/move around the apk files manually.
on internal memory, apps have two main directories where they are stored, /data/app and /system/app. some apps are stored on the sdcard by android. but moving the sdcard *should* move the apps, but i haven't tried so can't guarantee that.
if it were me, i would copy the apk files over to the new device. either by adb pull onto a computer or thru phsyically moving the sdcard.
i'm sure there are tools in the market, like titantium backup which might work but i haven't used any of those.
hope that helps!
Ok thanks for the reply. I just finished installing a custom rom with tb and will try that.

The only preloaded movie is The Green Hornet 3D. You'll need to dl a file explorer from the android market and delete the file and/or folder. But why would you want to delete a free movie?
you will need something like root explorer or es explorer to do this, go into the root of your sd card and search for .data press it then go into HtcWatch and then preloaded movies, just delete the preloaded movie folders brah. if this helped hit the thanks button ;D
download TB - Titanium backup Very useful! You can delete bloatware using TB
email it to me, I didn't get it!!!
Wait, can we remove movies and bloatware with es file explorer and TB, with a factory stock non-rooted ROM?

Yea you can remove movies but not the bloatware you need root for TB.

You don't need all this mumbo jumbo, just go into the HTC Watch application, press on the three bars on the bottom left hand side, press menu, and select Delete Downloaded Copies. I had to restart my phone after this to show the free space. Why make it so complicated?

Two answers:

You can always purchase a 16gb or 32gb sd card, I have a 32gb sd card and have converted 5 movies to 3D so far with no space problems

How many apps do you have? There's a few gigs reserved for apps, isn't there?
Try clearing the Market's data in the manage apps menu, and try again. If that doesn't work, uninstall the apps you don't use!
link2sd buddy
How the hell did you fill up 2gb worth of app storage already? Damn
Impressive that you filled it up already. I think I have 70 apps and I still have 1.35gb left.

Unless specified other in the phone storage options :
Your pictures should go to the /sdcard/dcim
Your micro SD card files are located in the folder: /sdcard/ext_sd/

I found a solution and made a thread here. I haven't tested it on our device yet but I believe it should work.
It looks promising though and it does address these issues.
You can go into settings>apps, and move some of the apps (internal storage), to phone storage (sd1 10gb). Basically I have around 12 GB to work with if I move stuff around.

I hv a 64 gb class 6 sd card which has been working fine. However sometimes when I try to install a large file, it won't install it right away. It takes several attempts to get it to install. Why is this happening? I seem to remember someone saying before that titanium back up may be causing it. Can someone please elaborate or could someone please put me on the right path. Thanks
