T-Mobile TV - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

Is there anyway to get T-Mobile TV to work for the note? I downloaded the app from the play store however when I open it, it says not compatible with your device. I know their are a lot of T-Mobile users and was wondering do any of you guys have this working. Or is there any possible way to get this to work?
Thanks

It only works on certain T Mobile devices. Also there is SD and HD shows that are also only able to be viewed on certain devices. Most standard def channels can be watched on all the devices that T Mobile TV works on but the HD channels can only be watch on a few devices as of now. I doubt we will get this working on an AT&T Note. There is a list on the T Mobile site that will show you all the devices the app will work on.

Maybe a build.prop change that makes it look like one of the approved devices.

Ah okay that sucks just thought it'd be a neat thing to have to watch some random shows when I was bored. A build prop change seems too much of a hassle for this small thing plus it might cause some other apps to stop working.

Is there any more news on this? I really want to do the same thing. Even if we flash a t-mo radio? really? It would truly be nice to watch.

yeah what the heck is this about. maybe the app need a update for our phones
any update on this? I am having the same issues...can see other party but they cant see me.
update: searched the forums more and found this fix?
Its working now, you can change the build.prop file. (/system/build.prop)
Change the line ro.product.model=samsung SGH-i997 to
ro.product.model=SGH-T959V (no samsung in front) then reboot
not sure if this making this change impacts anything else though.
Tango works great.

i find skype still works best on our phones but people have reported crappy battery life. I personally like ooVoo PC software better so I tried their android app but the I appear upside down to the other parties. So I reported this to ooVoo and apparently they said they will have an update by next week. I was surprised how quickly they replied to me and told me when they *hope* to have a fix.

Thanks for the tip. Tried with my wife's iphone and it worked right out of the box! The app is pretty rough around the edges in terms of GUI but I will take it!

App compatibility

What's with my market saying everything is not compatible with my phone? For example, todays 10 cent app list only shows 4 apps. If I go to them on my computers browser it shows them all but it says they are not compatible with my device. I know they are compatible because I can aquire them by other means and they work just fine. It has to be a bug or something. Its really pissing me of too because here I am wanting to pay for an app and it won't even let me. This forces me to get the app elsewhere. Anyone know of a fix or having this same problem?

Xfinity Player for Comcast

Those that have Comcast might want to check out this app. Comcast actually released a decent app.

Lol I hope, with what my parents pay we could use some sweet stuff.
The app does not work on my phone. It gets stuck at "Verifying application integrity". I'm running RezRom S4.
I'm just wondering why the app requests root permissions. Good app though.

I suspect that asking for root is a security check. Content providers are very twitchy about this on demand from anywhere stuff. I denied it. No reason for it to have root except to see if it's there.
Do u know if this is supposed to replace the old xfinity app? Cuz that one was laggy as fux.. and it only changes my channels when it wants too

I denied it too. Hadn't thought they might just be checking to see who is rooted. Interesting...

Is there a way you can stop the app from checking what subscriptions you're paying for. I just have internet and directv streaming is a bit behind xfinity.

So you don't want to pay for cable but you want to get the content for free?
No.
The DirecTV app is still on beta mode and its who I have my "cable" subscriptions with. I was able to watch a show yesterday on xfinity and the hd quality is excellent compare to the DirecTV app at this time. Just wondering if it was possible

There's a reason why you have to sign up for satellite on contract, and it isn't because of how awesome it is. Comcast has contracts now, but they are optional and mainly a way to lock in rates and get something free.
everyone i've ever known who signed a contract with a sat company has regretted it. they make you pay for everything, too.
Missing the download link to xfinity player

DNA not gamer friendly?

Hi,
I love playing games especially racing ones. But I'mdisappointed that my favorite game Hot Pursuit is not availablefor DNA on playstore. Even most wanted isn't available. Why is it so?
Is there any workaround to make them working?

If the games that aren't compatible are free games, I'd suggest just downloading the apk and sideloading it. One of the reason they aren't "compatible" may be due to the DNA being classified as a phablet by some people (which is the reason why Skype isn't available on the DNA).

Well it looks like they finally added DNA compatibility. If you read through this thread, Skype used to be incompatible with the DNA due to it being a phablet, according to Skype's tech support.

I think the resolution of our screen is an issue more than it huge size. Even though I tried to put an incompatible game apk in my dna and installed, it downloading required data over WiFi but sadly I can see only black screen while playing the game. I guess the game doesn't have texture files that are compatible to our combination of screen size and resolution.
If anyone got them work, help us. And yes Skype is working for me too

I can't post the way to fix this but there's a way, (2 ways that work) but I think it can be mod in the app itself.

It is about licensing issues. To get around chasing up their own licensing deals they went through a company called Slacker (according to Engadget). Slacker is unavailable in my country (Australia) and so Samsung Milk is too. I believe Slacker is available in the UK but obviously I can't test this and frankly I'm too lazy to check. If that is the case you could reasonably expect Samsung to expand to the UK shortly if they make a deal with Slacker. Countries that don't have Slacker are probably in for a much longer wait.
Is it Samsung milk or coffee?

It's ad free "for a limited time" but it IS compatible with Viper4android... unlike the stock Samsung music app.
