I bought nfs yesterday, and cannot get it to play for anything. The furthest I've been able to get is buying a car, it usually closes way before that. It doesn't give me a force close error, just goes back to my homescreen. Does anyone know what the problem is and what to do about it? Thanks!
I think they might be selling the version not very compatible with our phone. Mine works fine.
I've played a few races today and haven't had any troubles either.

Works for me on Nero V3+voodoo.
I guess you are past 15 minutes for refund, but contact EA.
I hope you got it for .99 and it's not big of a deal in the wallet department, bummer though you cannot get to work...

I've had it for a month, played/plays great. Completed all races, now need to collect the stars. You should contact EA to see about getting a more compatible version, or just Google NFS shift .apk and download one, since you've already paid.
Works fine here too.
For those who can't get it to work, post your your info (like ROM) so we can see what's up.
The op is using macnut R14 (from his signature). I am on macnut R12.
Still not working... its odd that it just closes to your home screen.
Yeah, I did get it on the 99 cent sale, so it didn't hurt my wallet, just sucks that I couldn't return it. I did contact EA, they just gave me the link to their forum, which wasn't a big help. If anyone does have a link to the version that works with our phones, please let me know, and yes, I've paid for it

Should've just Googled the apk. You'll find the full game for free and mine works perfectly. I've had it for like 3 months now.

If your phone number displays as "unknown" in your About Phone settings, that's probably your problem. I believe that issue exists with Macnut.

am i the only one whom gets a force close every time i use the app on the prime?
Thats because it checks for an imei. Of course the TP does not have one. There is a imei generator in the nook color development forum. Here's the link. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103766 It works on the nook color and the touchpad, but I tested on my prime and it's a no go. Maybe we can get a dev here to whip up one that will work for us. Check on the OP in the link for more info. Dizzyden's a pretty good guy and I'm sure he would help someone who knows what there doing.
hmm the xda app works normally for me. I do get the force close when it doesn't load up a page properly and I press back, but that happens on all my android devices.

there are a lot of people on this forum using the tf201 and xda

There is some loading bug, which leaves the loading circle on the screen. Pressing back once or twice closes the program, starting again makes it start up normally.
I have the same issue. Forced to use the browser at point.
I am having the same issue. I read somewhere that it says the xda app is not currently supported by ICS. Does anyone know if there is any validity to that statement?

I had problems with the free app on my Desire HD so bought the premium version.Looks like the free app still has problems. The only solution is to buy the premium app....you`ll get working XDA plus the money paid goes to good of the XDA community.

Free one crashes on both my HC tablet as well as prime. So i just bought tapatalk which seems to be similar as xda premium interface but also works with several other forums not just xda. cost 2.99 but very useful and hasn't crashed on me.

Does the exact thing to me most of the time. Sometimes I can browse the sub-forums but then it will kick me out and force close. I am going to try tapatalk since I already have the premium version for that.
Since ICS, it crashes EVERY TIME.
Pretty annoying, considering how i got REALLY used to using it.
If the pro version was officially supported in ICS, i would purchase it.

Ok it's apparent that the "free" version is buggy. Interestingly enough, I have the paid for version, and never experience any of this. I have it loaded on both my Asus tablets.
Apparently it is the "free" version. I just ended up switching to Tapatalk and called it a day.
I have between unable to log on to the Amazon app store since I got my Note. Out still works on my skyrocket, and my wife's inspire. Anyone else having this problem?

nope, i check it for the free app every morning. Did you load it with a fresh download APK or from one that already had? I have had issues in the past where it was buggy or just woulding work right when I installed from a previously downloaded version on my SD card. Have amazon send you the link to your phone for a fresh DL if you havnt already yanked and reinstalled.

ok, problem solved! I had never unregistered any of my previous devices, and every custom rom I ever installed on any device counted as a new device. Max devices appears to be around 20.
No i dont think there is a limit on the number of devices you can use.

Thanks for the tip. I had 9 devices registered even though I only have 2. All of the others were the various ROMs I had installed on my previously sold Infuse.
Interesting, where did you find this feature? I'm sure I'm teetering on the edge with all my flashing.

It seems the only way to get around the small font in apps like this is to change the dpi meetings of your phone which will require rooting.

Is there anyway to get T-Mobile TV to work for the note? I downloaded the app from the play store however when I open it, it says not compatible with your device. I know their are a lot of T-Mobile users and was wondering do any of you guys have this working. Or is there any possible way to get this to work?

It only works on certain T Mobile devices. Also there is SD and HD shows that are also only able to be viewed on certain devices. Most standard def channels can be watched on all the devices that T Mobile TV works on but the HD channels can only be watch on a few devices as of now. I doubt we will get this working on an AT&T Note. There is a list on the T Mobile site that will show you all the devices the app will work on.
Maybe a build.prop change that makes it look like one of the approved devices.

Ah okay that sucks just thought it'd be a neat thing to have to watch some random shows when I was bored. A build prop change seems too much of a hassle for this small thing plus it might cause some other apps to stop working.

Hey everyone I just rooted and went to setup Google wallet it's telling me it's now unsupported since I'm rooted.
Any ideas? Or workarounds?

Did you get the unsupported device banner? I got that banner on my rooted Nexus but Google wallet still worked at check outs.

Ya it should still work, least mine did. Used at mcdonalds and 711 even with the banner on display.
i read over in the EvoLTE forum that before you root you need to clear the data for google wallet IN THE APP (not with TB or anything else). And you have to do so every time you flash something. If you don't it is no longer secure
if you get the pop up saying the secure element is broken or something then google wallet is fried forever on that device. your not supposed to use google wallet and be rooted. i rooted and unlocked my galaxy nexus right when i got it and when i tried wallet i lost my 50 dollar credit and wallet access.

I have a galaxy Nexus and I know all about wallet. If you setup your Google Wallet on your device, even every time you load a new rom you have to clear Google wallet from within the actual wallet app. Open gw, then go to settings, then clear Google wallet data

I can confirm that Wallet still works even with the "unsupported device" at the top. Google just bought me Gatorade from 7 eleven.

So wait I am confused here. If I used the normal root procedure using odin, but already had it set up I can't use Google Wallet for secure transactions anymore ever, or is it just when I flash new ROM's? If I borked it when I rooted it, it would have been nice to have had that disclaimer on the root thread telling people to do this before rooting.
