stop panicking, try reading generic stock or 3 uk from intratech thread.
I will just unbrand it and play dumb I guess, thanks mate
**edit** there seems to be older stock 3 firmware in there, perfect will use that!
try asking Intratech in the thread here . he's a nice guy and i'm sure he will help you if he can.

Find your original firmware if you're currently on a different ROM.
OR
Find your original kernel if you didn't change firmware.
Either will be flashed via Odin.

Hi all,
I tried rooting my ATT S2 using the instructions here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1125414) and everything went perfectly fine, except at the last step where I launched S2 Root, it launched but couldn't see the phone.
Despite all that, now the back button doesn't work and more importantly I cannot send or receive phone calls. I can make and receive the call, but there is no audio.
I guess for now I just want to go back to the stock kernel.
Any help is greatly needed, this is my work phone so I need to get it working again ASAP.
Thanks
Flash a stock rom..

Flash a Stock ROM and use CF-Root if that method fails.
Thanks guys!
I'm new to this, if that wasn't apparent.
So where do I go to get the stock ROM?
Okay, so I found the original ROM and flashed using ODIN, the yellow exclamation mark has gone away, which I assume is a good thing, but the back button is still not working and there is no audio for phone made or received.
Any ideas?
I think the stock rom should be a wipe one...

What does that mean exactly?
I don't know why these other people are recommending these things, but this is the I9100 forum and you do not have an I9100.

Sorry oinky, only other choice I saw was the 4G S2, which I don't have, so this forum seemed closest.
But as far as the recommendation, what would you suggest?
In desperate need to get this back online, can't send or receive calls!
Thanks

Second link worked, thanks a bunch!!!!
I've searched through the forums and can't find anyone else having this problem.
When I receive a phone call the screen comes on, but I can't see who is calling and can't answer the call! The call log doesn't record that a call has been received so I can't return the call.
Even if I could return the call it doesn't always work, and when it does I get cut off every few minutes.
In either instance a message saying that the process com.android.phone has stopped working comes up and have to close it!
Not very useful for a phone, its just lucky I don't actually make many calls, but annoying when I do!
I have tried a factory reset, but no luck with that. I am running stock ROM and not rooted yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated, otherwise I'll have to send it off for warranty repair.

Thanks guys, I'll give that a go. If it doesn't work then off back to Samsung to fix I suppose. Trying to avoid that as I can't handle two weeks with no phone!!
Its only a firmware/ software problem nothing major .

Thanks JJEan, flash completed now that I unticked that box!! Now to see if the problem is resolved.
Interestingly, Samsung emailed me saying that it needed soft reset or reflash and suggested that I take phone into one of their service centres. The closest is 100 miles away!! Thanks Samsung
Again, thanks for the help guys.
I managed to reflash the original firmware eventually, and everything went well for a few hours. Managed to receive calls and make them. Then it went downhill and the issue arose again!
Phone off back to samsung for them to probably do exactly what I've done and send it back still broken no doubt!

UPDATE:
After reflashing again I slowly reinstalled all my apps to see if any of those were causing the issue. It turns out that Handcent SMS was the cause of all my troubles. Without this installed everything seems to be running fine so far (touch wood).
Hi im newbie here and im in trouble, so lets get to the point. I have Samsung galaxy ace s5830i. I have rooted it and installed Clockworkmod recovery. Before this problem I could make calls, send sms etc... But then few days after rooting i couldnt make calls. It just said that "mobile network is not available"
When i put sim-card to other phone, i could make calls and send sms. I connected phone to pc with usb-cable via Kies, Kies said something that "sim-card is not set, the data transfer cannot continue". I have searched everywhere but no...
I hope that u will answer as fast as possible.
Btw sry my bad english
EDIT: I forgot to say that i dont see my IMEI at all when i dial #*06#. And what I have read, I think its all about losing that EFS folder what makes that cant call, send sms etc etc...
Can u see ur IMEI or baseband version when u click About phone in settings?
Sent from my GT-S5660 using xda premium
I can se baseband version(S5830iXXLK1) but IMEI is unknown
Now i have unrooted and installed stock recovery(i think so), but still "mobile network is not available"... seems that the last option is take it to maintenance (im not sure is that the right word but..)

Dude, I got my problem solved !!
Apparently, there were some shortcomings with the way I had flashed my stack ROM with Odin! I flashed it again using different sets and my phone is back to normal working again! :good:
These links might help you:
1) The replies here might get you ahead!
2) This video might help you simplify your flashing!
3) This thread is utter genius! Thank him!
Cheers !!
